Hii sorry i have b not been active for a longggg time and i have read alot! So i have quite a few to review about and i would highly recommend this book series it have fantasy romance and this author has made turns i would have never expected at ALL! Hope all is well witb everyone byeeee! :)
I keep trying to pick 3 or 4 stars.. and just closed my eyes and went with whatever star I picked.
Horizon was a pretty good book within the Soul Guardians Series. However, it did have A LOT of boring parts. The pacing was so off in this book that I was starting to getting severely frustrated with it.
I did enjoy the battles between good and evil - but that's about it. Other than that Kaya finally became a tolerable MC in my eyes. I still hate David, but that will probably last a lifetime. Other than that, I also had a ton of confusion with this book. Some things just seemed a bit off - whether it was a writing or editing issue.. or a character issue. Like the whole teeth without a head thing?? I was very confused.
Other than that, it was a pretty interesting book and maybe my favorite out of the entire series (even with the confusion guys!). I swear I'm a conundrum myself with this review. I don't really know why the series continues (especially after how this ended) but since I obviously read the next book I will let you know in that review.
Thankfully this one doesn't end in a massive cliffhanger like number two did. It was a decent story, kept me wanting to come back and finish, but the strange tense changes made it awkward. One second you're in past tense, and the next you're in present. Plus there were some weird sentences and odd phrasing that a good editor would certainly clean up. Plus a few blunders like headless demons that have teeth. How can they have teeth without a head? Is their mouth in their body? It wasn't explained very well.
For my clean readers: Language, violence, betrayal, murder, and gore. No romance or kissing.
This was crazy! This series could easily have ended here...not sure where it will be going next. So, total surprise no real hints. This book felt like one of those pivotal books that when you look back you're gonna be like, man how did I miss this. There were so many people lost. Some people revealed as their true selves. I cant wait to see what's in store in for the next book!
The story picked up where book two left off. While in Tartarus waiting for her trial, a mysterious prisoner told Kara how to safe herself, which involved exposing the evil archangel that hides among the legion members.
Free at last, Kara continued her mission in searching and freeing her mum's soul from the grip of the evil archangel, and that's not the only problem Kara would face, as her father released more new breed of demons, swallowing human's soul on earth. Kara felt responsible and kept blaming herself for the event.
The battle that took place in Horizon was gruesome, and the ending in this book was super cool. It made me excited to read the next book, where I hope Kara finally gets what she wanted, on earth! The story doesn't sound too bad now, and I will continue reading the rest of the books in the series!
I was happy with this book. The story was good and the characters kept their integrity and personality throughout. I really like how the main characters remain flawed. They try to be better, realize that they are making a mistake - but do so anyway. :) Kara struggles with herself and mostly succeed by happenstance than actual knowledge. There were a few problems with plot continuity, but overall I was happy with it. And will continue reading the next book in the series.
not enough storyline, some repetitive dialogue. Some good moments of action but not enough to really feel like anything happened. Yet, it claws at the back of your mind to see what happens next because you're thinking, "oh, she's dead again, Wonder why they keep bringing back a guardian angel who barely knows what she's doing."
Not as bad as the second book but I still felt some passages just took way too long and nothing meaningful happened. I'm still reading the french version of the series, to practice, but it seems it's not as surprising and exciting after the first book.
AAAHHH!!! NECESITO SABER CUAL FUE EL DESEO DE KARA.
I love this & I can't wait for more. I will be also leaving a review on Goodreads @ Amazon. And letting everyone know about it. So i gave it a 5 Stars.
Can demons destroy Heaven in a hostile take over? Is there anything can can destroy the Demon Lord and restore peace in Horizon and on Earth?
Kara's skills are needed once again in this 3rd novel in the Soul Guardian Series. The Demon Lord is back, and all of Horizon is in trouble. Kara is faced with the ultimate consequence of destroying the Demon Lord, or Loosing the ones she loves.
I was a bit disappointed with this book. The pace of this book was very slow, and once again stretched out to over 400 pages. The action in this book should have been gripping, with a quick pace and that page turner quality of a well written suspenseful plot. Instead, I struggled through this book, with only the drive to find out what happened at the end to keep me going. I also began to doubt the main character. I felt as though more of her victories were accidental mishaps, her being in the right place at the right time, rather than skill and intelligence. I would give this book 2 stars. It was slow and hard to follow because the plot was so drawn out.
I would not necessarily recommend this book, unless you have already read the 1st two books and are looking to complete the series. I prefer books with a quicker reading pace.
This was the best installment in the series so far. There were fewer typos and other grammatical errors that made the first two books (esp #1) distracting and, at times, aggravating to read. The story line also improved. It was much more cohesive with more action and interest. She was able to convey believable emotion and distress where 'Marked' was not. I found myself actually wanting to know what happened next rather than just trudging through in order to finish the book. I was even satisfied with the way she wrapped up her storyline--so much so that I was a little surprised that there was yet another book in the series. (I've only just started #4, but I can't help but wonder about her motives). Hopefully she's able to sustain the storyline rather than ruin a good ending.
4STARS! From the beginning of a cliffhanger to demons taking over the Earth--the battles between Good and Evil crescendo through this book. With action so driven and emotions so high, Horizon is a rollercoaster that I didn't want to get off of. I can't even get into a summary without spoiling something. So, I must say that this book holds the key to the end of what Kara has always thought was the truth. The mightiest will fall and Kara will fall too.
This was the best book in the series so far! The ending was just perfect! I don't want to write too much about it because I don't want to give anything away, but I def. have to buy the next book now to see what happens. Kim Richardson has become one of my favorite writers. I have read all three of the Soul Guardian books in approx. a week & a half. They are addictive (in a good way)!
I absolutely love these books. I feel like they are a new kind of book, its a fight between heaven and hell but from the guardian angels point of view, interesting to say the least. The two main characters have stolen my heart from book one and I think I keep reading to make sure they end up together and are alright.
kara tries to get her mother's soul in Netherworld, her elemental power is used to open Mirror of Souls and hordes of demons unleashed on earth. Demon lord tries to destroy and takeover Horizon. Seems,Kara Kills him with Inferno Blade? David dies.Kara wishes to be human again gets a relationship with David.

2.5 I'm not really sure about this one. It certainly wasn't as bad as the first one and some of the final scene wrap ups were nicely done. I thought the book was still weak in places and sometimes disjointed, but better than both the first and second books, hence the higher rating. However I am not really sure where the series can go from here, but we'll see.
Wow this has to be my favorite book of the entire series so far. I really loved how the book ended, the story line and characters were amazing and I am beginning to become a fan on Kim Richardson's work. Amazing, it is worth a read as you will not be disappointed.
This series of books just gets better. I love all the characters. I feel sorry for Kara having to deal with her father. I would have liked to make my father disappear. David is a funny and I love that he is willing to do anything for her. On to the next book.
Great book....love this series....flew through this book....and # 4....I'm actually already on book 5 and just didn't take the time to review! Very hard to put this series down!
