I thought this was definitely an easy read with insightful nuggets of wisdom on each page! There was a lot in this book I didn't expect, like an entire chapter just for women and one just for men. I can tell he's a pastor because this book seemed like one big sermon about family and life principles. But he really broke it down and truthfully and without fault, shared what The Bible has to say about marriage, singleness, deliverance and prayer (among other topics). This is definitely a great book to pass along to others!

This best part of this book was a short list of recommended steps for discernment. I did not agree with every component of discerning described. I found this book to have a basis in the concept of The Prosperity Gospel. God wants to bless us, yes, but the author's focus on material blessings was distracting. He made little to no room for those people listed in places like the sermon on the mount...blessed are the poor in spirit...blessed are those who mourn...blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. Nope. None of that. Sometimes the right place is humility and sacrifice, the right people are those that may not be perfect, and the right plan may not appear to be so at times...but actually is. What then? Discernment of more than outward circumstances of life perhaps?
I think he would be better off to study Ignatius of Loyola and more about Scripture. I do, however, commend his work as it could be no easy task to write and publish a book. Trying to lead people to God is always commendable. Would like to see another try with more depth and better presentation of the Truth contained in Scripture and not the watered down version that soothes people's consciences about materialism.

This book by Pastor Jentezen Franklin is a great reminder that God has a plan for our lives. God wants to connect us to the right people, at the right place, in His timing as we seek His Kingdom first in all that we do. I recommend this book to any Christian who feels they have a calling in their life that you are waiting to be fulfilled.

This man has been lead by the Holy Spirit to speak genuine and helpful truth. Backs everything up with scripture and articulated in a way that is beautiful yet easy to soak in.

Pretty good read on practicing discernment and how to hear from God in all aspects of life. Some of the chapters came off a bit outdated but still a good read.

The author of this book was very detailed, and this book had the feel of one which speaks to individual readers better than most. It also gave more of a positive feel than many books intended to convert the reader. This book gives a feeling of hope where most often speak of the “fire and brimstone” God that only loves those who precisely follow His words; rather it says that God realizes our imperfections and loves us just the same. I would recommend this book to anyone who feels that there is no hope left within Christianity for someone like them.

This is so good that I’m hosting a small group for church using this book March 2018

Our small group session was great! Our group met for 3 additional weeks just so we could finish the book. Everyone had a choice to finish in their own or keep meeting. It inspired everyone in the group! There was about 12 ppl in our group

I've read this book twice, over the last 2 years and will probably reread again this year. It has alot of life applications and helped me to realize not only how others affect my life (positive and negative) but also that I have the same bearing on theirs. Definitely one of the best!

Amazing book. We really need the Holy Spirit to help us tap into the right plan of God anout our lives. We need His the internal compass in us to guide and help us discern things about our lives, our families, finances, and much more. "Right people, right place, right plan" awesome!!!

I read half and that was enough. I just don't think there is some "magic" process to the hearing God's voice. I believe more that as long as you are following God's ways that you are in his will.

Great book! To the point. Goodreads doesn't have a copy of his 2006 Book: "The Amazing Discernment of Women." It should. It has helped me make sense of not only my life but in my own writings.
