Okubo worked as an assistant under Rando Ayamine, on the manga series Get Backers. He also created artwork for various cards for the Lord of Vermillion game.
Atsushi Ōkubo was not a model student and was more attracted to drawing than to learning. At the age of 20, after finishing studies at a manga school where he met Rando Ayamine, the author of Get Backers, he became Rando Ayamine's assistant for two years. Finally, he won a competition at Square Enix's Gangan magazine with his first manga series B.Ichi and it was published for four volumes. After the end of his last manga, he created Soul Eater, still for Square Enix's Gangan magazine, which brought him worldwide success.

El problema de leer algo con lo que llevas meses atrasados es que ya no sientes algo de apego emocional a la historia. Me encuentro bastante indiferente.

تلاش ولکان برا روحیه دادن و تقویت کلی آرتور واقعن قشنگ بود.
و رزیستنس؟ پدر و مادر ارتور؟
البته جوکر اشاره کرد فقط اون نیست که مخالفه و زیادن ولی پدر مادر ارتورن واقعن ؟
شو بالاخره داره برا خودش تصمیم میگیره و پیش میره.
و داره جنگ نهایی(؟) نزدیک میشه.

Hubo capítulos graciosos al principio, pero después sentí que hubo situaciones forzadas y un poco de guionazo.

Everything started to become very complicated and sometimes it bothers me that instead of answering the questions that we are waiting for for a very long time, the author decides to present us with more questions. This makes reading a bit difficult and you are also not sure what to keep in mind and what to ignore. Yet, he still manages to find the balance between comedy and action. I like that Arthur is as important and strong as Shinra. We also see some side characters getting more screen time but we are at a point where some characters are absurdly strong and the others are very weak. I even forgot about most of the characters from other companies.

The Great Cataclysm begins.
This volume starts with Vulcan finally completing Arthur's sword, as Company 8 need to be on their A-Game to fight against the Evangelists. Shinra is recovering from his encounter with Captain Burns and yearns for another Adolla Link. In order to help him achieve this, Beni teaches him about meditating and opening up his Third Eye, and he soon experiences an Adolla linking him to Sho. Sho then feels the urge to escape the Evangelists and go to his brother, but at that time, they begin the Cataclysm. A pillar erupts from the sea, as the plug for a giant underwater volcano threatening to take out life in Tokyo. Shinra rushes to help Company 2 fight it's Infernal Titan guard.
This volume again was victim to the "too much filler, not enough action" issue that is commonplace in this story. I'm hoping now that the Cataclysm has started it'll be non-stop action but I'm weary in my hopefulness.

Dzielni strażacy doskonale zdają sobie sprawę z tego, że zbliża się moment, w którym będą musieli zmierzyć się z naprawdę groźnym przeciwnikiem. Nic więc dziwnego, że każdy przygotowuje się na tę potyczkę, najlepiej jak potrafi. Początkowe rozdziały mangi pokazują nam między innymi trening Shinry pod czujnym okiem Benimaru czy wykucie nowego ostrza dla Arthura. Swoje pięć minut ma tutaj również kapitan Obi oraz Shou, w którego sercu zachodzi dosyć poważna zmiana pchająca go w kierunku pewnych działań.
Fabuła mangi stanowi tu głównie wstęp do nowej porcji ognistej widowiskowości. Sama akcja pojawia się tu bowiem dopiero pod sam koniec, zachęcając czytelnika do szybkiego sięgnięcia po kolejną odsłonę.
Autor największą uwagę czytelnika skupia tu na wyjaśnianiu pewnych scenariuszowych tajemnic oraz odkrywaniu kwestii powiązanych z narodzinami sekty Świętego Słońca. Nie boi się on przy tym sięgać po pewne wątki filozoficzno-teologiczne, które dobrze dopasowuje do samej treści i podaje je w przystępnej formie.
Kolejny również raz duże znaczenie dla samej treści mają charyzmatyczni bohaterowie. Ohkubo świetnie prezentuje ich złożoność i ciągle trwającą walkę ze swoimi słabościami czy wewnętrznymi demonami. Całości tej treści dopełnia lekka dawka humoru, który tym razem pojawia się częściej niż w poprzedniej odsłonie....

What whas that thing???
Fun volume, the story progresses in a good pace and little by little you see some of the seeds that were planted, flourish. After 24 volmes, Ohkubo still manages to balance comedy and action in an incredible way. Even though there's drama, and sometimes it feels like there're way more comedy scenes that action scens, the action is so well done that it dons't matter at all.
It's always nice to see some secondary characters shine, even characters that barely made an appearance so far. I heard we are near the end of the series, and i know there's still time, but i hope we get more time with other companys and there respective memebers.
Overall, i you keep puting this volumes out, i'm gonna keep reading them :D

A lot of cool stuff happens in this volume as we get into the next arc as the White Clad's next phase of their plan starts and we get some focus on Sho as he links with Shinra one more time. Sho leaves the White Clads which I wished happened sooner but still it is was nice to see him finally rebel against the White Clads. We also get to see more about how Company 8 try to make their own plans to fight the White Clads even if they are now considered to be traitors to the Empire but it is nice that a lot of the Fire Force members who have worked alongside them are willing to call the Eight their ally. Also the idea of a Kaiju fight in this series is really cool.
