429-Cai gen tan-Hong Zicheng-Philosophy-1620

"Cai Gen Tan", is a collection of quotations discussing self-cultivation, life, life, and birth. Its text is concise and clear, and it is elegant and vulgar. The words show the interest in mountains and forests and permeate the world view of the integration of all things. The prescribed way of life focuses on mentality and human affairs, realizes the truth of falsehood and truth, and points out that the rich and the poor, the inferior and the poor, because of the mind, change the good and the evil, the misfortune, and the fortune, and warns the world to change their minds in time, abstain from greed and less desire, and take the middle way. road. The content and depth before and after the work are different, reflecting different experiences and realms.

The content of "Cai Gen Tan" is a popular reading of Confucianism. It adopts the three schools of thought of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. It takes the study of mind and Zen as the core. , aesthetic taste and these characteristics, it is also a Chinese literary work that makes people strive for progress.

Hong Yingming, courtesy name Zicheng, with the name Huanchu Darren, whose residence, date of birth and death, and birth average are unknown, was a thinker and scholar of the Ming Dynasty, who was probably alive before and after the Wanli reign of Emperor Shenzong ( 1572~1620).

Where Hong Yingming lives, the soil quality is very poor, the vegetables grown by farmers are not very prosperous, the harvest is poor, and life is very hard. Farmers take the vegetables they grow to sell at the market, but the roots of the vegetables are bitter and they say that people who buy them usually remove the roots, which will lower the income of farmers. Hong Yingming lived a very hard life at that time. It was a pity to see a lot of vegetable roots being thrown away, so he wanted to take the vegetable roots away, but he didn't want to owe others anything, so he paid a little money to buy the vegetable roots. For a long time, the local people called Hong Yingming a "stupid vegetable root".

One day, a friend Yu Kong Jian (a member of the Donglin Party of the Ming Dynasty) visited Hong Yingming at his home. Hong Yingming treated vegetable root pickles and rice porridge. After tasting it in Kongjian, he clapped the table and applauded. Hong Yingming's pickles marinated with vegetable roots are black and bright in color, salty and crisp, without the bitterness of vegetable roots. Compared with ordinary pickles, vegetable roots have a different taste. When Yu Kongjian asked about the reason, Hong Yingming said: The vegetable root tastes bitter and bitter, and ordinary people throw it away after trying it a little. I think it's a pity, so I picked these vegetable roots into pickles. The reason why my vegetable roots are delicious is that I know that deliciousness cannot be rushed. I first marinated the vegetable root with salt and fermented it for a year to remove the bitterness of the vegetable root and force out the aroma of the vegetable root. Then use water to remove the salt from the roots and let them dry in the sun for three days to make the roots chewier. Finally, the vegetable roots are mixed with Chinese pepper and other spices and then marinated for seven days before they can be served on the table.

Yu Kongjian not only sensed it but said: "The nature of the vegetable root is fragrant". Vegetables are fundamentally discarded, and the fragrance of vegetable roots can only be understood by those who are calm and quiet. Only an indifferent person like Hong Yingming can make the discarded vegetable root so delicious. His "Caigen Tan" was finally named after Craigen, which was also due to this special experience.

The bitter taste of good medicine is good for disease. Faithful words are good for deeds. Everything goes according to your own will, and it is difficult to find your own fault. Everything is always successful without failure, and it is easy to mistakenly believe that every idea is correct, and you may suffer a big failure in the future. Even beautiful jade needs to be polished to be round. However, the grinding method also needs to be cautious, otherwise, it will not only fail to polish successfully but will be damaged.

If you can't stand loneliness, you can't enjoy prosperity. When two people are together, more sparks of inspiration collide; when one is alone, one can think more deeply. When everything was silent, some details that had not been noticed before gradually surfaced. When people come and go, when there is a lot of noise, our eyes are attracted by appearances. Only when prosperity is washed away can the true meaning of it be seen.

Where there are peaks, there must be valleys. At the trough, we must find our true hearts and firm our beliefs; at the peak, we must pour cold water and consider whether it can last for a long time. When at a low point, it is easy to give up without the original intention; at a peak, without thinking about the future, it is possible to be arrogant and arrogant. High and low are interchangeable, how can we not be careful?

Traditional Chinese thought is very particular about internal cultivation, first cultivating the original mind, and then external things. If you can't conquer yourself, you can't conquer others. If you can't get along with yourself, you can't really get along with others. Understand yourself, accept yourself, surpass yourself, and then be fearless. There are too many uncontrollable factors in the outside world, and only by seeking oneself can it last for a long time.

If others are helpful to you, you should not forget it and keep it in your heart at all times. I help others, forget it early recently, and don’t have to think about repayment. Others are at fault for themselves, try to forget. If you have wronged others, you should keep it in your heart. The inner self-cultivation is achieved first, and the outer reception and treatment of things can be neutral and peaceful. If you don't have enough training, even if you are in a high position by chance, you will fall down sooner or later. Reverence for destiny, just self-cultivation.

Confucianism is not pedantic and rigid, it also pays attention to flexibility and understanding of human nature. Too rational, uninteresting, and unlikeable. Too emotional, trapped by emotions, it is easy to be controlled by the outside world. Complementing each other is what we seek. Yi Zhuang is also harmonious, serious, and lively.

Self-cultivation is very particular about hiding clumsiness. We admire hiding our intelligence and showing mediocrity on the outside. Radiant radiance will lead to jealousy and dark wounds. When I am proud of myself, I probably don't take it seriously. But once you make a mistake, even if you lose one in a thousand, it is easy to be blamed by thousands of people. On the contrary, it is hidden in the dark, and it is possible to have the last laugh when making a fortune in a muffled voice. There is no end to people, no gods and no achievements, no saints, especially when you are young and frivolous before the age of 30, you must always struggle with your desire to be in the limelight.

I read the book in college and have been influenced much. When you read ancient classic philosophy, you practice with it. I think it is due to not being a Party member, I feel inclined to indulge into Chinese classic philosophy. Some of them are useless and not practicable in the reality, especially when I study and live abroad.

I read it couple of times. When I read, I felt enlightened.
