Drawing on their varied backgrounds, the authors show you that coaching is about more than simply learning a set of skills. Rather, it’s a whole-person activity--one in which coaches connect to and serve clients in unique and personal ways to help them grow in work and in life.

You’ll learn how to draw on your professional experience, knowledge of organizationally relevant topics, strong helping skills, coaching-specific competencies, and most important, your ability to use your own intuition to become a more effective leadership coach.

Mostly technical, and relates more directly to sponsored coaching.. still many helpful and thoughtful tactics and methods for improving coaching. If you are building a coaching business, this is a great book to read as it does break it down and provide structure for launching successfully.

Wasn’t the right book for me.
My focus in on personal one on one coaching, not an executive coach, I was hoping to get insights into typical issues that arise for successful leaders.

A brilliant read!

One of the most comprehensive and practical books about coaching that I have ever read. Most coaching books do not go into the level of detail and practical guidance that this book provides. And the authors have managed to do this while keeping it light and readable, and punctuated with actual case studies. I thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend this book highly to practising and aspiring coaches.
