Dakota Riley is not looking forward to the next three days in Vegas. Her best friend Riann is getting married there, but Dakota doesn’t like the heat or the fact that she is going to be spending three days with twenty women she can’t stand. All she wants is a little free time and a warm body to fill her bed, that is until her world is upended by the introduction of her best friend’s cousin, the mysterious Shawn Camello.
Shawn Camello has been invited to her cousin Riann’s bachelorette party at the last minute. She is reluctant to go but is persuaded by Riann in the hope that they can become re-acquainted after not seeing each other for twenty-five years. The moment she meets the sexy, determined Dakota Riley, she tries avoiding her at every turn. The problem is, everywhere she looks, Dakota is there, and she’s becoming harder and harder to resist.
In a town like Vegas where anything can happen, Shawn and Dakota find that the stakes are love at all costs, and it’s a gamble neither can afford to lose.

This was okay, and decent for a first book. I didn't love it, and I'm not sure if it's because the author has gotten so much better, or if I'm sick of reading about people who choose to be players because they feel unlovable.
I got a huge kick out of seeing Coal and Jay from Beyond the Ridge, but that wasn't enough to push this from a book I like to a book I love. If you haven't read that, check it out. I'll be checking out more from her backlist.
This was a great story, that should have been made into a longer novel. The author did a great job, and for a first book, it was impressive.
Other reviews kept mentioning how short this book was, but when i saw it listed as having 264 pages, which i thought was about average, i bought it. I was disappointed to see that it only had 2893 kindle 'locations'. Which is in fact rather short! And as the book went along at a nice pace, i became more and more worried that it would have one of those horribly abrupt sucky endings. Surprisingly, it wasn't that bad at all. You didn't get an epilog that showed the protagonists years down the road happily ever after, but the way the author crafted the last part of the book, left you closing the book on a happy note none the less. I almost said on a satisfying note, but i think that people that like this book, myself included, would agree that we would be more satisfied if we got to spend more time with Dakota and Shawn.
Overall, this was a great first book for L.T. Marie, and i would have no qualms about buying any future books from her. The writing style was easy to follow and i noticed less than a handful of editing flaws. It is only a 4.5 for me, due to the shortness of a regular priced book, and it would have been nice to have more of the story.
writing/editing: 4.5 character development: 4 (the secondary characters were not described well and were forgettable) hot and steamy: 5, but not a ton of it ending that doesn't suck: 3 (didn't require more, but would have been nice)
Dakota Riley and Shawn Camello meet at a Vegas bachelorette gathering for Dakota's BFF Riann. Kind of the same ol' formula for lesfic but I enjoyed it. Lots of sexual tension.
This is the first L.T. Marie novel that I have read and I am looking forward to reading all of her work very shortly!
This novel is written with great style and elan, which raises it above the usual lesfic by-the-numbers romance. The characters are interesting and lovingly drawn, there is heartache, passion and obviously romance.
Great read and my only criticism is that it is too short - I want more of these characters and Dakota in particular!!
A fun, steamy, sexy novel that could have been a bit longer, but which works really well. The characters were well-rounded - sexy, fun, and realistic - and the romantic triangle was handled perfectly. I felt the dialogue was a little weak but, overall, a good read.
A trip to Las Vegas for a bachelorette bash sets more than just party activities in motion in this story. A total swinger, who usually has a different woman on her arm for almost every night of the week, and a cousin returning to Seattle, who is trying to recover from a hard breakup of searing proportions, both experience auspicious sparks flying between them from the moment they are introduced. An extremely interesting three day bash is definitely in the making.
Dakota Riley is one beautiful woman and a total magnet to other women. Since her modus operandi is to never get too attached, she seems to have all the elements working on her behalf. Additionally, she is also a really good friend, successful businesswoman, charming, and a rather thoughtful person. Wow. Nevertheless, she has her world rocked when in the super heat of a Las Vegas summer event, when she is introduced to her best friend's cousin. Yep, the opportunity for everything to change for Dakota is front and center while her best friend's bachelorette party unfolds pretty much on schedule.
Shawn Camello is returning to Seattle to put her life back together again. A last minute dropout from the list of people attending a wild summer bash in Las Vegas has provided an opportunity for Shawn to have some fun while she tries to put her past behind her. She definitely needs to get away from a real downer of a relationship and she can definitely use some serious distance from her father. She was not expecting to be totally wowed by her cousin's best friend and does her best to honor her personal set of rules to stay away from another potential relationship disaster. The itinerary for the three day bachelorette party complicates her attempts to stay true to her recovery mission. Shawn is a puzzling person wrapped in a baffling situation. Her knockout good looks only complicate things to the max. Fantastic!
This was a super delightful party atmosphere in a great party town with some powerful and potent feelings adding astounding heat to the fire. With a truly enjoyable and well planned celebration happening all around the guests along with some old grudges tossing some sparkling intensity into the mix, the initially star-crossed attraction of Dakota and Shawn lights up the show. Will Dakota's intensity and persistence or Shawn's self-protective tactics tip the scales one way or the other? Even with one hundred degree temperatures baking Las Vegas, these women turn the heat up even higher. Magnificent!

2.4 star rating This is pardonable as it is a first attempt but also too cheesy and given me headache because I rolled my eyes too much. That said I won't be surprised if future published books by this author ends up surprising me... there is evidence of potential
For someone who doesn't like walking around in the heat, Dakota Riley is one hot woman. The playgirl meets her match when Shawn Camello walks into her life and the fun begins for the Next Three Days. L.T. Marie gives the reader a quick romp through Las Vegas and into the hearts of two sweet women, who must let go of their past in order to trust in their hearts. Love can change your life and L.T. Marie does a wonderful job setting the scene, the characters and the romance throughout. Starting from their very first meeting the sparks start flying and don't stop until the last page is read.
I am not a big fan of man on man or woman on woman romance but this book was really good! The main character Dakota is my all time favorite character at this moment. She is spirited, gorgeous, sexy, and funny as hell! Did I say funny as hell? This book had me laughing to the end with the wise cracks and antics of Dakota. This is a very good book for a first time author.
