New Orleans is unique, there is no other place like it and once you’ve lived there, you can never forget the sights, sounds and smells of the city. I am also intrigued by other countries, especially Ireland and England, probably because my ancestors were born there. So, I feel it is only natural that I have combined my love of history, New Orleans, and the British Isles in many of my novels.
EMERALD DESIRE was my first novel, published in 1985, and begins in Ireland and sweeps the reader to the French Colonial city of New Orleans. That was the first book in the Emerald Trilogy, followed by EMERALD ENCHANTMENT and EMERALD ECSTASY. Eight more books followed. I am pleased that ereads.com will eventually publish my backlist of books. At the present time EMERALD DESIRE, EMERALD ENCHANTMENT and PIRATE’S BRIDE are available on Amazon Kindle.

This one is just not for me anymore. It's too much in some places.

I used to love this book when I was younger. Now I'm starting to wonder why.🤔 The h is treated awful, and the sexy H is a stubborn womanizer. He does stop for her. The obsessive villains were cruel.
As I say all these things, I still think it's worth a read. I have a feeling some will love it, and others will hate it. Me, my opinion is now divided in the middle.

A steamy read packed full of danger and betrayal.
Daniel is told lies about Lianne by a jealous woman hoping to bring her down. Lianne has recently been widowed and believes in love so these feelings she has for Daniel overwhelm her. They share a night of passion and he leaves her believing she is a woman of easy virtue. She is left to pick up the pieces when their night is discovered by others. She goes to America to visit her godmother hoping to make a new life for herself and her child.
More secrets are exposed as she discovers that Daniel was married. Not wanting to give into their passion again she marries another only to regret it when he starts abusing her.
Widowed once more she leaves that place of unhappiness only to be taken over by a cruel and evil man out to destroy Daniel and claim her forever.
Daniel really comes off as an unfeeling womanizing jerk that only cares about number one.....HIM. He hurts and torments Lianne and sleeps with all the women than has the nerve to be upset with her when she is forced into a relationship with the evil don. He does not try to understand and his goal is revenge on her. Why should he feel the need for revenge when he had lied to her since the beginning and left her is beyond me.
Lianne always loves him but realizes they can't be together and would like a happy family life marries again not realizing there is much about her second husband that is undesireable. She really harbors no ill will towards Daniel and can't understand why he is always tormenting her.
There are lots of misuderstandings, jealous lovers, and other's evil deeds that get in the way of their love. You really wonder if they will ever find happiness together or apart.
A well written read that is full of twisting emotions and darkness. Sometimes it is hard not to cry with all the pain and torment that others inflict on Lianne. Needless to say I could not put it down as with every turn of the page something else seemed to happen.

TERRIFIC
This book took a little lo get to get to the HAPPY ending but did not disappoint me . LYNETTE writes an amazing story and keeps you riveted till the end THANK you for a WONDERFUL TRILOGY.
