This book is a fun read, collating the authors research into the strange happenings in and around Cannock Chase, a large woodland area near the West Midlands in Central England.
The author gives some history to the Chase, including brutal murders, Roman forts, modern military bunkers and medical experimentation, and looks at Bigfoot sightings, Werewolves, UFOs and even a Pig-man!
The book is a fairly short read, and contains a number of typos and spelling mistakes, but the underlying stories the author presents are interesting and delivered in a compelling fashion.
If you enjoy stories of high strangeness and the paranormal, and are familiar with Cannock Chase (I grew up nearby to the area) then this book will be a fun read for you.

Strangeness in Cannock Chase
This was the first book published by this author regarding the unusual activity in Cannock Chase UK. Known for paranormal and cryptid sightings among others, many people have witnessed strange things over the years. This book touches on a few. It gives a bit of history about the area and includes a number of sighting stories. I have read the authors other books and enjoyed them, so it was time to see how things started. If you enjoy this book, be sure to check out his ghost stories, British Bigfoot and black eyed child books as well. All fantastic.

𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐔𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐧 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬
This book is about a place known as Cannock Chase, in (Staffordshire, England) that has long been associated & known for it's urban legends, sightings of a big cat that looks like a black panther, werewolf sightings, sightings of spirits & aliens.
A lesser-known urban legend is of the Pig-Man.
I already know about the urban legends of Cannock Chase, before I purchased a copy of this book, but I have wanted to read this book for awhile.
A lot of places in England are very haunted, a paranormal hotspot, which maybe due to ley lines that are naturally occurring in nature, in the earth itself.
They are a natural source of energy, which is why it usually attracts witch's, cults or people with negative or questionable intentions & there maybe one or multiple portals, or a vortex
(a spiritual doorway that spirits, entities, beings, demons, shapeshifters, elementals use to travel between, the astral & spiritual realms to our realm, the 3D realm)
There is usually a lot of tragedy, murders, unexplained disappearances, or unexplained deaths, suicides associated with various places in England that are haunted, a paranormal hotspot for paranormal activity.
Some of the hauntings are historical, residual energy from spirits from the past, a lot of places in England have a history of Highwaymen, robbing and murdering various people, there is also a lot of witch history as well.
There are a lot of lesser-known interesting, haunted places in England.
During the 19th century Zoo's the Circus & the Tower of London kept a menagerie of wild & exotic animals, so it makes sense how or why there have been thousands of sightings of wild and exotic animals throughout various parts of England.
Cryptozoology is the study or any unknown person, or animal that is of unknown origin or species, so this would include cryptids like Bigfoot, The Mothman, Aliens, the man from Taured
(possibly a time traveller, a alien or a spy)
There are also other well-known cryptids such as El Chupacabra, the bipedal Wolf-man etc..
Unfortunately cryptozoology is not accepted by modern scientists as a genuine scientific study of unknown animal species, but any samples from unknown animals is either a mixture of animals or some of it's DNA is unidentifiable and it's not comparable to any living species of animals that exist in modern times.
If you are scratched or bitten by a werewolf you would turn into a werewolf.
The description of the bipedal, wolf-man is very vivid, and interesting.
It's not surprising to me that many people have seen a werewolf during the daytime, since the werewolf, wolf-man would still feel the effect of the moon during the day, especially the full moon.
I am curious how rare lunar cycles of moon such as the very rare super wolf blood moon, the blue moon, a solar eclipse affects a werewolf, wolf-man or she-wolf.
I have never seen this explained or mentioned anywhere so I have always been curious about it.
The couple that witnessed seeing the bipedal wolf-man both vividly described the werewolf/wolf-man that they saw in vivid detail, it attempted to abduct their child because they are innocent, they were seen as prey by the wolf-man.
I am curious how the full moon affects any male or female werewolf during the day time.
My favourite chapter in this book is about the black panther, werewolf sightings, it was really interesting to read.
The chapter about the Pig-Man wasn't as interesting as I thought it was going to be, it was actually disgusting to read about the human-animal hybrids and experimentation.
I really liked the chapter about the ghost sightings especially the shapeshifting hitchhiker, a demonic, vampiric evil entity were really fascinating and creepy to read about.
If your interested in British mythology, folklore then I recommend this book to you.

An Amusing Read
Relates some of the Chase’s odd and interesting tales, the Authors ‘anti-establishment’ viewpoint creeps through several times which lets it down. The suggestion of a tunnel to Donnington is pure fantasy and the suggestion that Donnington did or does store Nuclear weapons is complete rubbish.
