NOTE: This is a duplicate of the review I left at the special edition of The HellBeast’s Hate which was the only version available on Goodreads at the time.

The author still needs a proofreader to correct spelling and grammatical errors. They seemed to increase as the story progressed.

I am actually reading the Kindle edition but this is the only version that appears on Goodreads. What’s with the depiction of Jared on the cover of the Kindle edition? It’s hideous and he is supposed to be handsome. His hellbeast is a three headed dog so obviously the man on the cover is his “human.”

This seemed like another unnecessary side trip into Ella and Jared’s past. I don’t remember how the previous book ended but Ella awakens in Jared and his wife Lerna's home some time in the 1700’s. She discovers that Jared had misgivings about his wife at the time. It turns out they were well founded as Lerna was part of the cult that caused him to be turned into the hellbeast. But, and this is a big but, somehow Lerna twists the truth so it appears that Ella is the catalyst for this in addition to causing Lerna’s death (why did Lerna have to die? I’m not clear on that)

I additionally seem to remember Ella visiting the caves where this occurred in one of the earlier books but don’t recall Lerna being one of the participants in Jared’s transformation.

Ella locates her Uncle Dom who doesn’t assist her the way she hoped he would.

Fast forward thirty years or so and Marcus arrives in time to keep Ella from being mauled by two men. She is able to confess the time travel aspect of her appearance and he agrees to help her try and find a Janus coin so she can return to the present time. They decide to steal one from Jared which requires a whole lot of deception on their part. I’m confused as to how Jared seems to “remember” things that occur in the future. It’s understandable if Ella slips and confesses something that hasn’t happened yet but Jared supposedly hasn’t lived in their current timeline so shouldn’t have any awareness of it.

Meanwhile, in the present day, Jared has been captured by Niniane and forced to fight against other supernaturals. He and Orth manage to disarm her but Ella’s fate is endangered even more by this and won’t be revealed until some future book.

Ahhhhh I got so impatience that I may have started the next book without even writing a review for this book!

This book really shows everyone what Jared is like as a human form before everything happened as well as what he is like before the present as well. It's very refreshing to see what he's like and what he sees in Ella.

There's so much that happened in this book that just makes you want to keep reading and finish it before you go to bed or carry on with your day. The time jumps as well that Ella does and what Draven done? Wow my god! It's nice to get to see everyone a little bit everywhere from Draven to Sophie to even Ari.

Only reason I've given this book 4 stars rather then 5 because like other reviews said it's getting bit repetitive where I feel like what Ella and Jared is doing in the past is same as a couple books ago but hey hoooooo I'm still reading jt

Things just keep going from bad to worse for Ella as she tries to navigate her way through Jered’s past. And each time she thinks she has found a way to return to her own time she gets yet another slap down. You know the old saying “ you can’t win for losing”? Well, that’s Ella’s life for the foreseeable future.
And let us not forget about the man himself. Still trapped in Hell, forced to fight all manor of creatures to remain alive. To try to figure out a way to make good his escape and return to the human realm and Ella. Ella, who he thinks is safely at Afterlife under her uncle’s care.
I have tried my hardest to take my time reading these last few books so I wouldn’t have to wait too long for the final book. That plan didn’t work at all. These are just too good to not read now!

I have extremely mixed feelings about this book…. I can’t give any Hudson books under 3 stars because her stories transport you to another world entirely but this is getting a little boring if I’m honest. This is the same plot recycled over and over again. Also please dear fire your editor these books need so much work. There are so many unnecessary words in this books sometimes it’s actually physically painful for me. All that being said I have to read the next! The story is that magical, that I can almost overlook all the mistakes.

I really love the story of Ella and Jared...I do...but this installment did not engage my senses and imagination as the other have. "Hate" seemed to drag on and caused me to lose interest at a few points. There is, of course, plenty of drama. The Beast should know better! Ella needs to get out of the past and back to the present. Hopefully something she learned on this journey will help in the now and show a reason for this portion of the tale. Hoping for real time soon in the next installment.

Loved this and am excited to see how Ella escaped the past in book 8.
I was kind of expecting Ella to have been the one to sacrifice herself in place of Jared's Wife when the Brotherhood came to get him from his home, thinking then she would simply be reborn into something powerful like her Aunt Keira. Seems Stephanie had other ideas.

And of course Garma is working with the soul sucking.. well lady. I'm very excited to see what happens and totally sad that things are playing out the way they are

I am so addicted! Loved every minute of the chaotic adventure that is Ella Conner and the Hellbeast King Jared Cerberus (Weller). The many twists keeps me reading and rooting for these two! Looking forward to the next book in this series.

"Janus works in the favor of the Fates." - Well, let's hope you're right about that, Marcus.

Wow. That was (and is) a real hell trip through time for Ella.
In 1763 she is cleverly staged by Jared's enemies and has to experience painfully what it means to be hated by Jared. And dear Uncle Draven? - He converts his "help" to his own benefit and Ella finds herself suddenly in 1799. Here she finally finds a real hero at her side - Marcus. He and "The Famous Cookie" cause quite a stir at Jared's underground fight club; to get a Janus coin.
And Jared's further path is also briefly presented between 1763, 1799 and the present day.

Both are prisoners in this book. Ella in time and Jared Ninianes.
I really liked these time jumps; even if Ella and Jared are still prisoners. Hopefully the next book won't be too long in coming.

Giving 3 stars as you can't give .5's or this would of been a 2.5 star read
I feel stephanie has too many book series going on to be able to fully commit and give decent story lines to them ,now afterlife her first series is to me an amazing top 10 series read for me I will always go back and read them but now I just feel the transfusion and hell beast series are mainly filler books with lots of spelling mistakes and descriptions that do not need to be in them. With so many great authors out there at the moment trending all over tik tok I feel steph needs to up her game. I don't think I'll be reading anymore of the series now but like I said afterlife will continue to be one I will always go back to when in a book slump.

The Hellbeast’s Hate (The Hellbeast series book 7) by Stephanie Hudson is a 4 ⭐️ read.
Ella is stuck in the past, she tried to help Jared when he was still human but it backfired on her, so whiles she’s fighting to get back to her own time she’s trying to avoid the newly made Hellbeast King.
In the present Jared is stuck in a prison cell fighting to the death for a crazy demon summoner but it isn’t long before he finds out things are not always what they seem.
This book ends on a huge cliffhanger, which I’ve come to expect from this author and while I really really hate cliffhangers I just know it will be worth the wait for the next book.

Wow what a read, again another amazing read in this series, although I’m not happy I need to wait for the next in the series.
Ella and Jared are both dealing with their own mishaps and dangers, both trying to do what they believe is right for the other but with others trying to ruin their lives what will come of our lovers.
Great read, story and plot, amazing characters. Some grammatical errors but nothing to worry about. Loads of angst, and the back and forth through time was nail biting. Although fairly PG13 the innuendo is implied, some cute moments, but overall it’s a more stressful read due to what both characters are dealing with. Would recommend this series to any Afterlife lovers

This was an amazing book. I loved reading every minute of it. I could live in the world the author created and be happy. What amazing characters Love how the fight and care for each other. The plot Twists and turns are so well written you do not see them coming. This is a series I recommend starting from book one. You do not want to miss a thing. This book had a surprise I do not do spoilers.
So enjoy.!

Oh wow a cliffhanger!!! Crying 😭 was so excited that we were going to get a HEA for Jared and Ella they so deserved it. I really liked this addition to the series and enjoyed the twist that going back in time gave to Ella’s feelings for her Beastman.

I am so over the ongoing relationship conflict. Can we get one freaking book where they are together and the conflict comes from dealing with an outside source. Something they can handle together. Also the fact that each book only spans a couple days is infuriating.
