English title: Unattended Marriage

Definitely a guilty pleasure read, and it's not for everyone as there are strong themes of infidelity. It's set in an ABO sci-fi world, but I'm not sure if the interstellar aspects were really needed as the only time it became relevant was when our main characters went to another planet for vacation. Easily could've been substituted with any other tropical island, imo.

The story follows a male beta called Ye Zhi who has grown up in a family without love. He has strongly opinionated parents who are disappointed that he differentiated into a beta and place all of their love and hopes on his younger brother. To his parents and especially his mother, he's completely useless, until one day she realizes she can use him in her schemes and tricks Huo Youcheng, a member of the wealthy and prestigious Huo family, into marrying Ye Zhi.

Unfortunately, HYC is super unhappy with being tricked into marriage. He takes his anger out on the MC and alternates between either completely ignoring Ye Zhi in favor of whichever beautiful companion happens to catch his moment at the moment and or coming home and forcing Ye Zhi without any consideration for his pleasure. Y e Zhi wants to divorce his husband, but neither his family nor his husband will let him. Needless to say, he does not live a happy life, but there's nothing he can do about it as he was raised to listen to his family and never say no to them.

Then comes our ML, Huo Youcheng's older brother and mayor of the city, Huo Youzhi. He moves back into the Huo house with his young daughter Ranran, and shows Ye Zhi what it means to have someone care about him. Because of this, Ye Zhi starts developing feelings for him, feelings that Huo Youzhi returns, and thus their forbidden relationship begins.

The story was pretty standard and read like a soap opera, but it was still enjoyable. Pacing was quick and the author didn't drag anything out, including letting our main characters realize their mutual affection quickly. I was a bit scared to see what would happen once Huo Youcheng found out about their relationship, but his reaction was relatively mild. The ML was able to reconcile with him by giving up some assets such as the Huo family home, which is very light. I was afraid Huo Youcheng would go crazy and ruin the ML's political career or something like that, so by comparison giving up some assets isn't too bad.

There's over 200 chapters, but they go quick as the chapters aren't too long. Everything was resolved nicely with one exception. I think it would've been nice to have one last scene between Ye Zhi and Huo Youcheng at the end, but the last part of the story was their wedding and Huo Youcheng didn't show up to that. After that the last couple chapters read more like extra chapters and focuses on the side pairing of the MC's friend Qingqing with one of the ML's secretaries.

I like how Ye Zhi's character gradually developed confidence in himself and learned to say no to others under Huo Youzhi's tutelage. HYZ is a really positive influence on him.

The romance was done well and their relationship developed very naturally. Initially Ye Zhi is terrified of the ML because of his imposing status in the family and can't even look him in the eye, but through Ranran and the ML's care of him, he eventually learns to be comfortable around him before developing feelings. And from the ML's point of view, he sees how Ye Zhi is ignored and mistreated by his brother even though he takes care of things around the house and spends a lot of effort making delicious bento for Ranran, so his feelings develop very naturally as well. The smut is done well, though imo the author went overboard with it especially given that the MC is cheating. The way she writes it, they can't keep their hands off each other every time they meet, even though neither of them had strong sexual desires before.

Puedo decir que esta novela es muy preciosa, lo terminé en tres días creo. Tiene buen smut, O SEA UFFFFF DEL BUENO INCLUIDO MALE LACTACTION DJFOSIDUFIAO

- Hubo un capítulo que me dio vibes a Solicitud de Divorcio, practicamente es lo mismo ya que son de la misma autora.
- El ntr estuvo muy buenísima, ojalá fuera mas largo, lo senti muy corto. QUIERO LEER MÁS DE ESA TEMÁTICA.
- Historia entre un alfa papá soltero x beta que es maltratado por su esposo.
-Huo Ran es un amor, la amo mucho.
-HAY HE, no se preocupen por la angustia, ya que es sangre de perro.
-El coche vale la pena de leer.


Lo que no me gustó:

1. El marido kk Huo Youcheng no sufrió ni un poquito y siento que su final es volver al inicio. MINIMO que quedara incapacitado, ¿cierto?
2. Había capítulos que me daban sueño, todo era entre Ye Zhi y el marido kk. Siento que fue innecesario, en lugar de eso, debieron darnos mas momentos entre la cp principal.
3. La side story, no leí para nada porque no me interesan. Solo terminé de la pareja principal.
4. Esperaba un mejor cierre, pero estoy satisfecho porque mucho sufrimiento xD

PD: Hay rape explícito, pensé que era necesario hacer una aclaración por si son sensible a eso.
