I also watched the DVDs that correspond with this book in a class at church. I felt like they were a bit more informative than the chapters, though Phil interrupted Amy quite frequently, which got old.
The 90 daily readings, food log, exercise log, and tips were what I found the most helpful. It was nice to get into a routine of reading a short page or two every morning and then filling in my food journal throughout the day. Some of the tips and information in the chapters seemed extreme in the beginning, but I'm sure that's how Phil and Amy learned to jump start a diet/exercise program on The Biggest Loser.
