I love how every time I read this series, I simultaneously understand nothing and everything that’s going on. I’ll read paragraph after paragraph, but not take in a thing that’s said. It’ll go right over my head. In one ear and out the other. Yet at some point, it all makes sense. “Oh that’s what’s going on,” I’ll say to myself. I’m so tense the entire time I read this, my jaw’s sore. I bite my lip so much that I’m sure my body’s having trouble replacing the skin. Incredible.
