So, this book is not something I read a lot, but I have read from time to time. First things first, this book is def for the LGBTQIA+ section. If you're one of those people who hates/"doesn't support" that lifestyle, stay clear of this book. Second, this is a furry book. That in itself should set up exactly in what direction this book is going to be going in. Not to say that all furry books are porn, but there's def sex in this one. With that out of the way, This is more a slice of life book than anything else. There is a lot of drama in the book and quite honestly I really did like this book a lot more for the message that was in the book than anything else.
The main character's name is Dale. He's a regular human on his way home from being out in space. While being transported to earth via some StarTrek beam, the transmission is disrupted by a terrorist group. Because of this Dale is then turned into a furry in order to save his life. With that said, the rest of the story is Dale learning how to deal with no longer being human, but being a furry and having to learn how to live as a furry. It's also about learning how to have more empathy towards another way of life that you may not have been able to see due to your birth. Not trying to say that it's the dreaded "privilege" thing, it's not. It's simply being able to see something from someone else's shoes, and learning how live looking at life from a different angle.
This book covers everything from racism, to learning how to accept yourself to basically learning how to live life. With that said, if you're fine with LGBTQIA+ books, and furries, I would highly suggest this book to you. If any of the above are things that make you A.) make fun B.) turn your nose up. You should prob stop following me. I read an assortment of books from Horror to technical books, to smut to anything with a good plot regardless if it's straight or not. There will be more of these in my timeline.
