The book includes an essay and lots of color plates. While the plates reproduce works by many of the artists, with a good number by both Dali and Di Chirico, I would have liked to have seen more reproductions of work by Magritte, Duchamp, Ernst and Ray.

leicht zugänglicher Einstieg in den Themenkomplex mit anschaulich kuriosen Anekdoten und reichlich Bildmaterial.
Nicht allumfassend, das meiste lediglich antippend, dennoch ausreichend Querverweise, an die man im weiteren Selbststudium anknüpfen kann..
