The author sets out to get you to think about what to have in your everyday carry. He makes many suggestions as what to include in a kit in different environments. He has gotten me thinking and making revisions to my EDC.

Solid guidebook

Covers all the basics and resonates well with my own experience. Passes the Eagle Scout test. These are good tools, but knowledge and practice are essential as well. Can't just buy stuff and read a book -- gotta get out there an use all of it.
