It was time for Billy Bristol to be married. So why did he feel like he was going to a funeral instead of a wedding as he started walking down the aisle? Everything changed for Billy when a very pregnant young woman interrupted the preacher with the wild claim that she was carrying his long-lost brother’s baby and then gave birth to her little girl right there in the church. There was no way Billy could ignore this tiny, innocent angel, and when he looked into her mama’s enticing green eyes, he had a hunch it was finally…a time for love.
Drawing upon her experiences in Jamesport, the largest Old Order Amish community west of the Mississippi, longtime Missourian Charlotte Hubbard (a.k.a. Naomi King) writes of simpler times and a faith-based lifestyle in her new Seasons of the Heart series. Like her heroine, Miriam Lantz, Charlotte considers it her personal mission to feed people—to share hearth and home. Faith and family, farming and food preservation are hallmarks of her lifestyle, and the foundation of her earlier Angels of Mercy series. She’s a deacon, a dedicated church musician and choir member, and when she’s not writing, she loves to try new recipes, crochet, and sew. Charlotte now lives in Minnesota with her husband and their border collie.
This book has angels in it some human & some spiritual. God has a way of putting us where we need to be we if only we will stop & hear him. God speaks thru many mediums; the Bible, a child speaking, someone's dreams or an old persons wisdom of living a christian life.
I enjoyed reading this book with all of its twist & turns. Thank you for this book & I look forward to reading the next book in this series. I would recommend this to anyone young or old.
I so enjoyed book three, I can hardly wait to dive into book four. I love this family that loves freely and who truly puts God first. I’m so amazed at how everything works out perfectly for the best, in the good times as well as the bad. It is wonderful to read great Christian stories that are so well written that you feel apart of them.
A very good book. I enjoyed it very much.Draws you in from the beginning and keeps improving as you go along. A lot of things happen in this book, takes you thru all kinds of emotions.
This story had to come about to finish the Billy And Christine line . Billy grew into a man who could be trusted by his family and friends. Christine grew into a better person than she started out. And Eve also became a more loving and caring person.
Delightful! Wonderful! Love at its very best. Joy overcomes evil and the story continues. Loved reading every sentence, couldn't wait for the end but hated seeing it end. Oh well on to book four!☺
I enjoyed this would, would highly recommend. Good, bad and the ugly in this book. One thing I liked is it didn't end to quickly and you actually got to read about the wedding.
I Chose five stars because this captured the lives of Mercy through the good times and the bad times as her family grew, taking in the homeless and hurting while living s life pleading to God, but with shortcomings,
I happened to buy this book without realizing that I had read prior ones. How delightful! I again got to enjoy the Malloy family whose joy in the Lord inspires me to want to be just like them.
If there was a 3.5 rating, I’d give that to this book. At first, the story just seemed so unbelievable...and yet as I read, I began to truly like the characters, their faith and strength. It was an enjoyable read.
Learning to stop and listen to God’s direction takes Billy on quite an adventure that like real life has some twists and turns where you have to learn to finally put your trust in God’s hands
A great story. Loved the characters. A clean love story. This was the third book in the series. I would recommend them all. Will read the fourth one soon.
This was a wonderful book. Continued to follow Mercy's Patchwork Family! I love the true love of God and Family that this amazing family has. Charlotte Hubbard is now one of my Favorite Authors!
A wonderful, sweet inspirational novel of God's love...
What an amazing story of God's love and faithfulness for His children!!! I loved all the richness of the people in this enjoyable novel. When you start to read this book, be warned, it's difficult to stop reading......Each exciting chapter pulls you effortlessly into the next, and you don't want to put the book down!!!
Charlotte Hubbard has managed to paint a beautiful picture of each person and place with her powerful, descriptive words.
I would recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys inspirational, historical romance supported with real Bible scripture references. Prepare to be inspired!!! Enjoy......
Once again a warm well written story that happens to be a sequel. I smiled and cried and smiled again. The story takes it time in the telling and is never boring. The points of reference to the first book are subtle, and well done. This book can stand on its own, but the reader would miss a wonderful story. Faith and endurance, unconditional love and acceptance abound in the gifts this story portrays. I loved every word and feel uplifted. Thank you Miss Hubbard, you are a gifted writer.
I have been reading the series for the last several days. So well written. I feel as though these characters are friends or family whose lives I am sharing through their stories.
