Little Haven #3

Tainted Reign

Rate this book
It was supposed to be simple.

Take down the gangs that wrecked my life. It was all in place, and for years, everything went how it should. I never expected to fall for the men I’m supposed to hate. Now, my desires have changed.

The revenge that controlled me is now overpowered for my need to have them in my life. I shouldn’t trust them. But I do. They chose me.

Our enemies will do anything to take everything I’ve worked for. I won’t let them win. They see me as nothing. A girl they can use to their advantage.

Too bad for them, I never give up. I can’t wait to watch it all burn.

**Tainted Reign is book 3 in a series and is the final book. The series must be read in order. It is dark romance, and the main female character will end up with more than one love interest. This series is interconnected to my other series, but all can be read independently. For more information on the content, please visit the author’s website.

What an amazing conclusion to another wonderful series by Kay. I will forever stand by her writing some of the strongest most bad *ss heroines as well as diverse harems. Not to mention, AHHHH THE CAMEOS in this book!!! Even better than book two! It was like all her best characters came together for this epic finale. I definitely recommend reading Suncrest Bay at the very least before this one!

There’s also still so many storylines that could branch out from this series, so fingers crossed it’s not the last time we see Rynn and her men again. What I loved about these books were that her guys truly hated each other. So not only was it enemies to lovers with her but they had to learn to like each other too. I know I’ve said it before for this series but the transition of them learning to get along and be better for Rynn was flawless and we see them all accept it in this book.

Somehow, Jace ended up being my fav? He pulled ahead of Gage for me in this one even though there was a LOT of action, probably more than the others. The plot was kind of priority over the relationships but there were SO many loose ends to tie up it was needed. I also think Rynn faced the most “bad” guys I’ve ever seen in one of Kay’s books so it was perfect seeing her and the guys finally get their well deserved happy ending. There were plenty of twists, especially towards the end, and the SPICE was still very very present!! Kay went all out in this one 🥵.

I DO wish we had gotten a moment with each of her guys and them exchanging I love you’s, just because she DOES have one with Kian and I always like it to be even 🤣. They all inner monologue their feelings plenty and she says it at the end in general or they mention it in passing but the only one she has an actual “moment” with is Kian, who also happens to be the one she’s married to. Since he got that from Rynn I felt like I wanted more for Jace and Gage but the marriage was also forced upon Rynn so, not entirely the same as if she had chosen. This is really just me being nitpicky though since it’s very clear she loves them and vice versa.

Overall this was a great addition of a series to Kay’s growing collection and I can’t recommend it enough!

Review:
It’s been a while since I’ve last been to Little Haven, I’ve been sitting anxiously on the edge of my seat since July awaiting the final instalment of this series and boy it did not disappoint! While I had originally planned to reread books 1 & 2 before starting Tainted Reign, life got in the way and I didn’t have time, however like with all of Kay’s books I felt like I had returned home after reading the first sentence!

This was an incredibly gripping and intense ending to this series which gave an ending I was incredibly happy about! Tainted Desire finished on such a cliff hanger I was so happy we picked up right where we left off. The chemistry between Rynn and all 3 of her guys was entertaining and perfect, I loved watching the boys relationships and friendships with each other advance and allow them to support Rynn. I also adored how their banter stayed, but we got to see new sides of them!

There were so many cameos from Kay’s other books which was super fun to read and watch all the characters interact! I can’t wait to read Kay’s next book, she’s honestly one of my top authors, I’m loving her vampire series and I’m intrigued to read all the books she’s been teasing for 2024!

For lovers of:
- Dark Romance
- Why Choose / Reverse Harem MFMM
- Gang / Mafia Romance
- University / College Setting
- SPICE!

I am so sad that this serious is over. What an amazing series. Hands down, one of my top series of 2024 and also EVER!!!!!

I loved how everything played out and the story plot was just amazing.

Two boys have a choice. Kian and Jace have a choice. One that doesn't seem to be hard since they fell for Rynn the first time they saw her during the summer they spent with her 3 year ago. But what will they do in order to not only protect her, but to also pacify their fathers and their gangs?

Gages past has finally caught up to him, and what do they want to use to make sure he does everything they say? Rynn. He has to do the one thing he never wants to do and that's push her away. Push her away so that she won't be hurt because of him and because of his past.

Rynn, is still pushing to not only take out both gangs, but to take over Little Haven. But it's beginning to be a challenge when every time she turns around, someone is after her. But can she do it with the help of the organization and her men? What will happen when she is faced with having to make a choice between what she loves and taking over?

Great ending to a great series and I highly recommend reading. Check tws before reading.

yeah, this is about the same as the first two. i should've given up after the first one, but i really held out hope that they would get better. there's still no romance, and there's nothing in this book that really makes you feel like this is a group of people who are in love. they care for each other, in their own weird ways, and they go out on limbs to protect each other.

but again, it just lacks the depth of feeling or emotion that it really needs to convince the audience that all the guys are truly in love with rynn or that she feels the same way. and similar to the other books, there's a really predictable plot structure in this where the only things that ever seem to happen are sex, and weird gang interactions.

not to mention the fact that all rynn talks about is owning campus/little haven, except for the fact that we don't ever really see her run anything? yes, she's in on all the plots to destroy the other crews in the area, but in terms of running/taking the city?? she doesn't really do much? she doesn't have any standing meetings with like...suppliers or buyers or exchanges?? she burns down other gang's warehouses of...something? but she doesn't have her own warehouses? she's a decent fighter and she's pretty cunning, but it seems like most of the time, she's not really involved in the day-to-day interactions with the gang she supposedly is pretty high up in?? it just doesn't make much sense.

it's definitely not a boring book series, it's very twisty and there's some hidden stuff that's interesting to find out, but i just...would not call this a romance. or really a gang book. this is just a girl and her boyfriends who sometimes help gangs?? i dunno. there's not enough romance or gang stuff to make this book fit either of those genres.

🌟 BOOK REVIEW 🌟
Tainted Reign by Kay Riley
🎶 New Kings - Sleeping Wolf

Third and final installment from the Little Haven Series and it’s was as action packed and addictive as I thought it would be. Never really a dull moment or down time for them to just be. We pick up right where we left, with Rynn, Jace, Kian and Gage a part of more problems than we can count. History definitely comes back to bite them in the a$$ at the worst times too.

More secrets come out, and the enemies become closer when they accept that they have a common goal. Protecting Rynn. It was a long road to get here and get them all on the same page, but they scene when they all spill their secrets…. 🥵.

I loved that throughout, Rynn maintained her status of being the bada$$ queen! She owned it, and even the help she got was from other strong females too. Can we say more crossovers?? There are some definitely things that came as a surprise, but the way Rynn and her men handled them was amazing.

Overall, I loved this whole series and this book was. I exception. Definitely would recommend this book! Plus, don’t mind me while I wait and hope for more books/series from this world of people *cough* King *cough* Reese *cough*.

This book is amazing. Please do not make the same mistake as me, I had no idea this book was part of a series when I got it as an ARC. That being said, I read it not knowing that it was part of a series. I still loved it. So much so that I am reading Book One to read the whole series.

This book follows several POVs and is action-packed right from the start. This book follows Rynn, Gage, Kian, and Jace. They all have different roles in the book however they are all intertwined in a way. I love how this book looks at each POV but without retelling the story over and over again. It is full of action and has lots of twists and turns. You are pulled in right from the start. Each one is trying to escape a situation where they are all in it in a way. They want to escape the gangs and everything that comes with it and even though they try it's hard to get away because they are watched like eagles. They all have more problems than one can count and it always betrays them at the worst times.

I really did enjoy this book like I said I enjoyed it so much that I am reading book one. If you are looking for a Mafia/gang-like book this one is for you and it is full of action and turns to keep you wanting to turn the page and find out what happens.

I’ve been reading for roughly 22+ years and I can honestly say that I have never read anything like Kay Riley’s books. Only she can write a plot that LITERALLY keeps you on your toes, of the charts action, the right amount of drama, the best spice ( tables and duffle bags, Ykyk) 👩‍🍳💋, whole belly laughing banter (rynn and gage have me💀), my absolute favorite STRONG FMCS, and swoon worthy, growly, possessive alpha males. The character development in this series was so good. The progression of all 3 mmcs being real enemies to cautioned friends to friends… all for rynn.
I seriously wish we could push a button and it brings all of Kay Riley’s characters to life. The squeal I let out with the crossovers in this one 😍 the fact that she successfully wrote 3 series with plots that are so deeply intertwined yet can still hold their own as an amazing book series because EACH PLOT IS SO DIFFERENT AND UNIQUE, speaks for her talent level 😍 please never stop writing. I would lose my mind without your books ❤️😉

10/10 for the plot
10/10 characters
10/10 spice 😉🤤
10/10 ending for this series.
Highly recommend and I will so be rereading little haven again ❤️

KAY RILEY CAN DO NO WRONG - I loooooooved this series as much as all her other ones. I'm so glad I waited until the third book was out because I would have gone nuts with the cliff hangers in this series.

SPOILERS!!!!

The main reason this is 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the ending. I was on the edge of my seat sweating and screaming when all the gangs had come together and had Rynn and her dudes all chained up. But after Gage was shot, Rynn wasn't as much a part of the action and Jace ended up shooting Chris. I know he had his own reasons, but I really wanted Rynn to have that badass moment of knocking all of them down. All her books are no where near damsels in distress, but I wanted more of a badass moment in this big final scene.

Also the party at the very end to get Gage out of his family's hands was very anticlimactic after the previous big fight scene. By that point I knew that he would get out of it and everything would be fine so his family being all big and scary wasn't really anything I was on the edge of my seat about.

All around still LOVED this series and can't wait for more of her stuff <3

If Kay writes it, I'm going to read it and I know I'm going to love it. She did such justice to these characters and this series! Rynn is one of my all time favorite FMCs. She is just such a strong, badass character! And I now love Jace, Kian, and Gage equally. The relationships that developed between them in this book were perfection.

I have been anxiously awaiting this final book in the Little Haven series. The twists and bombshells revealed in book two left me so excited for this final installment, and it did not disappoint! There is so much action, love, and spice in this book. I could have never anticipated some of the plot twists that came to light.

I love how Kay does crossovers of her beloved characters from other series and that she continued that writing style in this book. Definitely appreciated updates on some of my favorites and hope that we see Rynn and her men again in a future series. 🤞

Once again Kay nailed it. This whole series has been amazing. Knowing that a book is always the last book of the series always gets me nervous because you never know how it’s going to end. It ended perfectly. It started right where the second one ended which I also loved. There were no unanswered questions and it just ended with my heart being happy.

I have loved Rynn since the first book, she has always been such a force and I love it. She has struggled through all the books with her feelings, and I love that she is finally owning her feelings in this book. She knows what she wants and even through all the twists and turns, nobody will stop her from getting what she wants.

Gage, Jace and Kian are still so different and don’t get along most of the time. They know what they want and they’ll protect her at all costs. I love them and their love for Rynn so much. They really learned to work with each other and do what was best for Rynn, even if it means going against the mafia and their families.

I loved this book and I’m so happy with the way it ended. Kay did an amazing job.

great finale

This was such an action packed third and final book for the series. I wasn’t sure how Kay was going to end it but it was done so well. There were so many secrets revealed that I was not expecting. I loved the crossover characters. Kay was able to make me actually like characters I despised in her other series. (Trying not to give away spoilers). One of my favorite parts was how Kay really showed the growth and commitment in the harem to not only the FMC but the guys. Their game of learning about one another was spicy and so unique. I loved it. I also like that Jace and Kian finally got the truth about their past. I appreciated that Ryan stayed the badass that she was and saved herself and her guys over and over again. The surprise of who cam in guns blazing and fighting at the end….was not expecting that! The ending was perfect and really made the series complete. With that—I would definitely love some stories about the side characters from the other books that crossed over or even Ellie.

Wow, the final book in this actin packed, fantastic trilogy is finished, I’ve really grown to love the characters in this gritty tale of gang life.
We pick the story up from that cliffy in the second book and dive straight back into nail biting non stop action. I had to read a few chapters then put it down and digest what I’d just read. Such convoluted plans between the various gangs, with Bryan and her boys trapped like flues in this tangled web of deception.
Bryan is my favourite character, so tough and loyal, definitely having her hands full with three guys from opposing gangs.
All the answers I’ve been after are here, some twists I never saw coming. The plot line is complex, some of it being put into motion years ago.
Love that we get to meet Vee again, the way characters from other series in this shared world really add to a cohesive story.
Hopefully we’ll meet the characters here again in future stories, so sad to see this story end.

I was so excited to get back to Little Haven, Rynn and the guys.
The book picks up where Tainted Desire left off and is so fast paced - I could hardly put it down.
I loved how Jace, Kian and Gage manage to put their differences aside. This was done really well, from going from enemies and hating each other, to being friends and having each other’s backs. With how much they hated each other in book 1, I had no idea how they were going to get there 😂.
Rynn is a strong FMC and holds her own, despite having 3 protective guys ready to have her back.
The cameos from Vee and Mili (as well as other characters from Kay Riley’s earlier books) made me so happy! It’s hard to say goodbye to the characters from Tainted Reign, but I think I’ll have to go and re-read about Vee and Mili to get over this book hangover….

Ahhh! Cannot believe this series is over!!!! Loved this finally installment is Rynn and her men! The angst, stress and excitement in this book kept me fishing for more. Gage annoyed me in this book simply because he doesn’t know how to take freaking help, but the love they all found for each other was amazing. All the twists and turns were immaculate and I didn’t know what I would read next. And the working together was so much stronger with the boys. I’m so thankful they got their happy ending together because they all deserved it after everything they went through to stay together. This book had my heart racing and anxiety spiking with how everything was playing out. There were times I thought how could they possibly get out of this one, but they found a way!!!!
Definitely a series I’ll be picking up again!!!

How can you just let go of characters you fell in love with……..

I can tell you how, you freaking can’t 😭😭😭

Why must it end!!!!!!

Okay, I must say I loved every book in this series but this one right here has stole my heart ❤️. With the plot twists alone had me loving it and trust me I don’t know how many times I was like, “oh sh*t). Like this book will make you question everything. This book right was the perfect ending of this series. Read the Suncrest Bay series, The Sapphire Duet, Braidwood series(this has a tiny bit of connection to the other series) You don’t have read these books but I highly recommend you do, it will answer a lot of questions.

I have no words because I absolutely love this series.

I give a 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Author Kay Riley has created an incredible story that connects all the characters and reveals secrets that keep readers hooked. Rynn is a strong and honest woman who forms an unbreakable bond with her guys. Together, they find peace, love, and happiness.

Rynn refuses to let her circumstances define her and redefines the rules of the game. The romance between Rynn and her guys is full of passion and vengeance, promising an unforgettable read. The author has done an excellent job of intertwining passion and vengeance to create an exhilarating dance that will keep readers on the edge of their seats.

So, buckle up for a tale that will take you on a roller-coaster ride of emotions and leave you wanting more.

What an ending!

Tainted Reign is the third and final book in the Little Haven series. I wasn't sure how the author was going to wrap up this story line, but she did it like a boss. Just like Rynn!

This whole series has been a mixture of different games and agendas all being played at the same time. Of course this gives readers tons of action and this book just ramped it up to another notch. It was so satisfying as each twisted plot was revealed. Almost as satisfying as when certain people got shut down and their plans thwarted. And a big shout out for that great crossover. I love when an author brings in characters from another book into their current one.

This was a great book in a great series!

Another amazing book by Kay!! If she writes it, I’m gonna read it- an instant buy author for me no matter what the book is. 5 ⭐️’s! Tainted Reign wraps everything up in the Little Haven series so perfectly. Kay’s writing never fails to pull me in with all the twists, suspense, banter, and spice and Tainted Reign is no exception. It picks up right where book 2 of the series ended. There’s so much character and relationship growth with this one and so many surprises along the way. Loved seeing all the crossover moments from her interconnected world/series too! Sad to see these characters go but maybe we’ll run into them down the road sometime.

Rynn

Not gonna lie this series wasn’t as good as the sapphire duet with mili and her ruthless men. But still with the writing, plot and some crazy twists it still deserves a 5 star review.
More crews, wars, guns, knives, blood, territories, it’s always the same but some amazing new characters and some that we know from the sapphire duet, if you have not read that duet, I highly recommend. Rynn was her own kind of bad ass FMC that was determined from the get go, she tried hard to not catch feelings but after a lot of tug and push, some trust boundaries knocked down, she found herself with 3 guys who would literally die for her. Swoon ❤️

What a beautiful ending. I really love how things all came full circle with so many moving pieces from previous stories as well as the full wrap up in this one. So well woven together. The angst and animosity between the guys all after Rynn's affection was continued in just the right way. A game of sharing your truths seems to work wonders. I am sad to see these characters go but at the same time I feel so content with where they are and what their lives now look like I am happy to let them live on. Some of their moments will be living rent-free on repeat in my head though.

As always, this was a great ending to another series! It was action packed and I loved seeing everyone come together.

Rynn can hold her own and I love her for that. She doesn't need to rely on anyone. The guys finally got it together (completely), but even prior to this, they would do ANYTHING for her. This one was great and loved seeing all the other characters from previous series and can't wait to see if these will pop up later (fingers crossed!)

Even though this is the end to Rynn's story, I know it can't be the last in this world. Excited to see what's coming next!!

What a fantastic way to end the series!!
It was everything I wanted and more!!
Packed full of action and suspense, a few twists and some delicious spice!

Rynn was a fantastic FMC throughout the whole series. She proved it in each book. She was fierce, loyal, and she fought hard and conquered.
Kian, Gage, and Jace, I loved them as well. I loved seeing them all go from enimies to forming friendships, even if for the sake of Rynn. They prove to all work together and I loved every bit of it!!
Fantastic job!!!
I loved it!!!

One thing Kay knows how to do is write badass FMC’s,Rynn is definitely no exception. The way they are strong and stand up for want, no matter who the person is. They know what they want and they go for it!

This series was absolutely a favourite. You will eat this up!! The progression of each character was definitely an adventure. It was such a fun read. The sexual tension and bickering between each character is enough to drive you crazy to read more. Friends to enemies, each being apart of different gangs and of course the MMCS are all super grumpy, possessive alphas who want Rynn for themselves.

I truly live for Gages reactions to anything 😂
Jace and kian friendship I totally loved, especially when a Rynn sandwich happens 👀

I totally got to appreciate all the cameos in this last book. Going back and reading Kay’s entire library. Totally worth it!! Puts in entire appreciation into how great these books are.

When I finished this book I totally teared up knowing we had to say goodbye to these characters. I’ve can count on one hand how many times that happened.

Definitely a series I can’t recommend enough.

I think this is my favorite series by Kay Riley. I seriously had to make myself read slow so it didn’t end!
As always we start right by where we left off (which I love).
Rynn, Gage, Jace and Kian are endgame. The stuff the go through, the growth they have and their love is everything. They don’t let anything or anyone get in their way.
The story has lots of hold your breath moments, knee bouncing, face palms and laughs. I’m sad it’s over.

Gobbled it right now

Was the wait between the last book and this one worth it? 10000000000%

When I tell you Kay continues to find ways to sneak in a new twist and new ways to sneak in shock. That last one she manages to get in there was definitely not on my bucket list but let me tell you it had me shook. Whatever you think it is, let me tell you, that’s not it. You have to read it to find it out.

Wow what can I say. Kay Riley's book Tainted Reign is amazing as usual!

Absolutely loved the ending to Rynns story and loved seeing characters from her other books there to help. Especially Vee & Mili being there. LOVED their scenes. The 🌶️ scenes were 🥵 loved the group scenes and their way of bonding 🤣

Also happy there's no more Chris 🤣

Hopefully like other characters this isn't the last we see of Rynn and her men and we see them in future books.
