This was my first engaged exposure to a dispensational interpretation of Scripture regarding eschatology.
Frankly, I was unimpressed with the scholarship. I give the book 3 stars because he summarized well many speculations within this genre which saved me time reading more of it.

Now the part where I spew out my thoughts while reading the book. I disagree with the hermeneutical premise of the book, so I read it with heightened skepticism. The apparent premise is this: “Because the more than 100 prophecies regarding the first coming of Christ were literally fulfilled, the precedent has been set. We may expect that all the prophecies dealing with the second coming and the events that lead up to it-including the manifestation of the anti-christ—will be fulfilled literally as well.”

I question the validity of treating the book of Revelation as a literal, prescriptive prophetic writing. I feel that the circumstantial and philosophical context of the time, as well as the broader message of Christ’s Kingdom ought to be considered before concluding that the strange text be ascribed to particular events. This is just my opinion.

Also, I have one question that Ron Rhodes does not address in this book. Perhaps he does in one of his many other books on prophecy; but I doubt it. It is this. Does an eschatology that employs violence in the overcoming of evil fit into the example of a self sacrificial Lamb? Perhaps this is a precedent that ought to inform our eschatology. (Yes, I like Michael J Gorman ;)

Live with our eyes and hopes fixed above

The study of prophecy is trying to find wisdom and knowledge but as the author stated it's to give comfort we forget that the God of the universe is in control we become so fixated on this world we forget this is temporary this book not only teaches it focuses on the God who created all this I have read many books on this related topic and found it was more concise and easy for anyone to read and understand if you want to learn/understand/and put into practice the knowledge of God's word READ this book

This well written, researched, executed and quite extensive complete volume on everything related to the Antichrist held my attention throughout as I read and studied along with my bible. Included are many references to bible passages that correspond to the subject being presented, and is an excellent study tool for individual or group use. This volume delves into the Books of Revelation and Daniel extensively but also other books are discussed and explained in an easy to understand format. Topics include chapters on Is the Antichrist alive today, the character of Antichrist, the role of Satan, the emergence of Antichrist, different world views of who the Antichrist will be and the comparisons and contrasts between them are but a few of the many included. The question and answer session fulfilled alot of my wonderings about the Antichrist and backed the answers up with scripture.

I felt I benefited from the book and learned quite a bit, as it separated the facts from the fiction, and I found it to be a good choice for the time spent. I did take my time reading, studying and reflecting, while looking up passages in my bible. Alot of information is contained within the book and to hurry through it would guarantee missing many key points and events. I would highly recommend this book to others, not only to Christians, but to nonChristians as well so they will be aware of the coming times. Thank you to Harvest House Publishers and Netgalley for the ARC for my review.

This is a very informative book. I liked how he presented his ideas and based them on Biblical references. You may not agree with all he has written but you can not deny that he presents good arguments. I found the book an easy read and enjoyed the many verses that were presented.

There were so many great parts to this book. I found whoever would listen and read them different sections and it started some great discussions! Some agreed with what was presented and others ran to get their Bibles so they could look up the verses mentioned for themselves.

I think this is a great resource for anyone wanting to learn more about the Antichrist. I found it to be easy to understand and think it would work perfectly for a Bible study or for family devotions. I gave this book 5/5 stars as it deserves it for all the information and the many Biblical references the author used to support his ideas.

I would like to thank NetGalley and the publisher for the copy of this book I enjoyed reading. I gave an honest review based on my opinion of what I read.

It took me a long time to read this book. Nothing new in it and the author repeated himself quite a bit.
