This one had some but not all of the same problems as The Case of the Dognapped Cat. The medical issues were mostly gone (thank goodness!) although the issue of way too young kids getting mixed up in a way too serious mystery was still very present. Also, you would think that maybe certain worried adults trying to warn the kids off could have done it in a smarter and less creepy way?!? I did like the lesson of partnership and including people even when you don't particularly want to though. :)

Content--violence; guns pointed, including at children; children locked in closets; animals poisoned; a parrot makes numerous rude remarks; children sneak out of house to investigate

I like this book because how they where working and together solve problems and they where good partners. I hope you can read this book
