This captivating novel reignited the flames of my passion for K-dramas and K-pop, immersing me in the rich tapestry of Korean culture.

At its heart is Titalee, a spirited South Indian girl whose disinterest in studies propels her towards a dream of pursuing music and dance. Her world, with only two close friends, takes an unexpected turn when a call from a top Korean entertainment company catapults her into a life-altering journey.

Beyond the surface of a typical romance, this book delves into the intricate realms of family, relationships, self-discovery, and the challenges that accompany fame. It's a nuanced exploration that goes beyond the confines of a traditional love story.

The familial support in Titalee's life resonated deeply with me; her parents' unwavering love and encouragement serve as the foundation for her transformative journey. It's a testament to the belief that family forms the bedrock of every pursuit.

While Liam and Titalee's relationship may seem swift, the circumstances lend it an understandable urgency. Their journey is endearing, marked by a genuine effort to understand and accept each other, injecting a refreshing realism into their connection.

The cherry on top is the delightful friendship between Titalee and her bandmates. Their unwavering support and love add an extra layer of warmth to both Titalee's life and her budding romance with Liam.

This is more than just a love story; it's a fusion of Indian and Korean themes, a harmonious blend of cultures. If you're drawn to the enchanting world of K-pop and K-drama, or if you appreciate narratives exploring interracial relationships and the intricacies of Korean culture, this book is an absolute must-read.

Despite a few grammatical errors in the unedited review copy, the charm and depth of the story shine through, making it a compelling recommendation. Dive into this short and sweet tale that will undoubtedly leave you enchanted and longing for more.

"Life Happens" by author Madhu Pandey is based on the K-pop world and explores the themes of friendship, love, dreams, and ambitions. Through this wonderful book, author Madhu takes us on the journey of Titalee Rathore, a determined and aspiring artist from Ghatkopar, Mumbai.

The story begins when Titalee gets a call from NXN entertainment in South Korea, informing her that she has been selected as the Indian Korean Artist and they want her to audition. As Titalee passes the dance audition, they call her for the next audition round in Seoul. Despite all the challenges she faces in her life, Titalee does not give up on her dream of becoming a popular artist. After her selection, the CEO of NXN entertainment appoints her as a trainee for six months.

After a few months, she finds out that her debut has been put on hold due to some reasons. Later on, she meets Liam Hyung, the leader of a popular group named 'Sensation.' Titalee gets a chance to be a part of this sensation group. Read this interesting story to find out how Titalee's life changes after that.

Apart from Titalee's relationship with Liam, I also liked her bond with her childhood friends Anni and Naina. I loved Liam's character; being a celebrity, he was supportive and understanding.

The narration is fast-paced, and it kept me engaged until the end. I appreciated how author Madhu has shown the transition between the past and present. We get to know about Titalee's past, her 10th result, her college life, her ex-boyfriend, and her pet Joey. The language used in the book is simple and easy to understand.

"Life Happens" is a simple, heart-touching, and inspiring story that demonstrates the power of never giving up. If you are a fan of K-pop and a lover of contemporary romance books, this is definitely worth reading.

"Life Happens" by Madhu Pandey is a captivating tale blending wholesomeness and romance. The story revolves around Titalee, a talented singer, and Liam, the leader of a top pop band. The book takes us on a journey through the back alleys of fame, the life of artists, and a blossoming romance in the midst of it all.

The story shows the Indian girl in South Korea concept. It explores the culture clash and the challenges Titalee faces as she pursues her dreams in a foreign land. The romance between Titalee and Liam is portrayed as cute and endearing. While their relationship may seem abrupt at first, it adds a touch of excitement to the plot. The way Liam calls Titalee "butterfly" in Hindi (Titalee being the Hindi word for butterfly) adds sweetness to their connection.

The book also delves into Titalee's family dynamic, which many readers can find relatable. It portrays the conflicts and struggles that arise within families when pursuing one's dreams. The writing style is fast-paced, and the plot is well-narrated. The book includes several twists and turns that keep the readers wanting to read more.

Additionally, the book has a touch of humor and chick-lit, adding lighter moments to the narrative. The cute relationship between Titalee and her fellow band members is also worth appreciating. This is a short and fast-paced read that teaches readers about life and provides a glimpse into Korean culture, making it appealing to fans of K-Pop and K-Vibes.

Overall, "Life Happens" is an enjoyable book that offers a unique blend of romance, culture, and life lessons. It is recommended for those looking for a light-hearted read with a dash of Korean culture and a relatable family dynamic.

A book that delves into the world of K-pop might initially pique your interest, but "Life Happens" transcends expectations. Its depth and engagement extend far beyond what the premise suggests.

(P.S.: I'm genuinely delighted that I chose to read this book. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the author for her recommendation. 💕)

Coming back to the book:

"Madhu Pandey's 'Life Happens' is a contemporary romance masterpiece that not only elicits butterflies in one's stomach but also delivers poignant reality checks. At its heart, the narrative revolves around Titalee, the resilient protagonist who, despite enduring life's formidable blows, decides to chase her dreams. It's a tale of serendipity when she encounters Liam, the charismatic frontman of the renowned K-pop band 'Sensation,' ushering in a transformation that feels like a modern fairy tale.

My personal admiration for this book knows no bounds. Madhu Pandey excels in crafting multi-dimensional characters and a narrative that provokes deep contemplation, leaving an indelible mark. The story unfolds with jaw-dropping twists that add an extra layer of enjoyment. The electric chemistry between Liam and Titalee is utterly enchanting, and there are moments that had me in fits of laughter until I realized I was blushing (they are, after all, remarkably attractive).

In summation, 'Life Happens' is an unputdownable, whirlwind of a book, brimming with pace and engagement. Once you embark on this literary journey, it becomes an arduous task to set it aside, compelling you to devour it in a single sitting. I highly recommend grabbing a copy and experiencing the captivating tale that unfolds within its pages.

Everybody knows how obsessed I am with Korean culture and k-dramas. This book was a k-drama story come to life.
This was a short, sweet and cute story about an Indian girl Titalee who auditions for a Korean company and gets selected to become their trainee. There she meets and already famous k-pop group and falls in love with the lead idol and what ensues is a beautiful journey of love, friendship and happiness.

Titalee was very relatable and her Indian upbringing hit too close to home. She was a sweetheart and her inner monologues were so cute. Liam was so swoony. A k-pop idol who reads is just what I want 😍😍

Their story was cute and adorable but a little abrupt. I would have appreciated a little more detail into their relationship. The friendships between other characters was so honest and so relatable.

There were some grammatical errors but the storyline was good. It felt a little cut short at times but was still fun to read. A short, light story that can easily be read in one sitting.

If you like K-pop (Korean pop music) and romance novels this one is for you. Titalee is an aspiring singer who is pressured by her East Indian parents to aim for something more “intellectual”. When she gets a chance to audition for one of the top music companies in Seoul, she can’t pass it up. Once there she meets Liam, a popular K-pop artist and starts to fall for him. The story tends to jump around a little bit. Telling the story of Titalee’s growing love of song and dance through her college years and interactions with her parents and friends Anni and Naina. It also shows how sheltered her life has been thus far. Even though Titalee is chaperoned to Seoul by her older cousin, Shrusthi, but she has never felt so much freedom before. Freedom to wear makeup, pursue her career and fall in love for the first time. Sweet chick-lit story about clashing cultures, family dynamics and chasing your dreams.

A short, fast-paced 200 pages book that teaches you about life, following your passion, family love with a dash of Korean culture.
Now, the whole Indian girl in South Korea concept and her debuting in a korean band was unique. I have never read it before so I liked it! Liam and Titalee’s relationship was although abrupt but cute! Titalee’s family dynamic was relatable too and I thoroughly enjoyed it. And how Liam called her butterfly😩😩.. (Titalee- hindi word for butterfly). And can we appreciate the cute relationship between Titalee and her fellow band members? They reminded me of BTS members a little🥹!

I have to say though the constant past/present time lapse broke the flow of the story a little. And there were grammatical errors which could have been corrected.

Overall, it’s a cute one-day read from debut author Madhu Pandey.

*It seems that the copy that I got was the uncorrected version and the newer versions have the grammatical errors corrected.
