As Cory slaked his lust with yet another woman, he thought this one might be married, but he didn’t want to dwell too hard on that. Since he’d opened his vet practice in Whiskey Cove, women had thrown themselves at him and he’d given them what they wanted. He asked no questions, just pleased them and himself. And then she arrived, fresh-faced in cutoffs and a tank top, cradling her sick dog. He hadn’t cared what women thought about him, until now.

Brook saw Dr. Corrigan St. Martin emerge from the exam room straightening his necktie. And then she saw her landlord’s wife smoothing her clothes down as she followed behind him. Brook wondered if he’d known the woman was married. She’d heard the rumors about the vet, that he was shameless about his licentious behavior. But he was a devoted vet. And completely irresistible. Maybe there was more to the man than his reputation.

I lead a double life. By day I’m training young women to become speech therapists. At night I sip red wine, dial down all distractions, and sink into the fictional worlds I create. Good tunes on my iPod are a must. I get so caught up in my characters that I truly wish the male hero would materialize in the flesh; especially when I see the cover image…I swoon.

I have spent the past several years working as a university instructor. My students are young adult females so I’m constantly running plot lines and book covers by them. They make a great beta team! I love my job at the university but there is something I love even more. . . romance novels. I'll read any genre as long as there are steamy sex scenes and the standard issue HEA ending. Initially I was drawn in by the escape and sweeping emotion of it all, so much so, I began to create my own fictional world.

Since I worked during the day my nights were consumed with writing. I was powerless to stop the stories that wanted to be freed from my mind. I actually started to get mixed up. I would think something I wrote at night was something I had said during the working day and vice versa. My friends were worried for my sanity but I assured them I had not gone mad, I was just writing. Once I started I wrote upwards of 3,000 words per day.

It was in the early millennium when I became brave enough to share my stories with others. I began to post my stories on fiction websites and then something marvelous happened—I was followed by hundreds of eager readers. I loved my followers and their kind words helped motivate me.

These days I am writing books and I’ve learned some things about myself during the process. I like to write series novels because I have trouble letting go. I like a little plot with my romance, erotica, contemporary. Call it what you will, but I have to have a good story in which to sink my teeth. If I start writing a story I have to finish it, even if it’s terrible.

My dog is my muse and when he tilts his forehead at me and blinks his large black eyes questioningly at me, I think he is worried I've been sucked into the wormhole of the very fiction that I write. I appreciate his concern but I have yet to fall down the rabbit hole. Here's to everyone else in my boat, may our voyage become a permanent destination.

Book - Shameless (St. Martin Family Saga #2)
Rating – 3 ½ out of 5 Stars

Cory and Brook’s story - Cory is the veterinarian in town and is also a “man-whore”.  He don’t care who he has sex with or where.  Brook brings her dog in to the clinic to be euthanized and Cory suddenly has a heart and takes Brook and her dog to his estate in order to be more comfortable and help Brook morn.

They get stuck in a thunderstorm and have mind-altering sex which neither of them can get out of their heads.  Cory finds ways to see Brook but by this time Brook is hooked – she knows Cory’s resolve about NO MARRIAGE, NO LOVE, NO CHILDREN.

She agrees to just sex between them without the relationship but Cory finds himself always at Brook’s without always wanting sex. Things progress between them until uh-oh an unseemly accident happens and Brook questions what will happen with her and Cory.

This story was a bit more intense than the first and seemed to have substance to it.  Yeah, there were times it was a bit over the top but all in all – it was a fast and enjoyable read.

there is no doubt in my mind I ended up buying this book because of the cute puppy and the hot chest of the front cover. I am a sucker for cute animals, the eye candy being an added bonus. ;-) I hadn't read any books by Gina Watson and the rest of the series looked interesting so I thought I would start with this one. It is actually book two in the "St Martin Family Saga" series. That really didn't matter though it could be read as a standalone. No problem. Also it got good reviews when I had a look around.

This review does contain spoilers. I just can't talk about it and not include a few biggies so be warned. Cory is the new vet in town and working his way through the entire female population. The sex comes easy and Cory doesn't bother with the same women twice. Brook is witness to two occasions, two, of the Dr indulging in casual sex. It doesn't bother him if they are married or work for him. Anyone is fair game if they are keen.

So Cory is not making the best impression right from the get go. He is kind of sweet to her when he has to put her dog down. But Brook seems to fall under his spell and into bed really fast. She knows she wants a relationship, but all of a sudden she is happy with casual sex. What makes this guy so amazing? Cory will do something nice and then something jerky with in a heart beat of each other. He seems quick to judge Brook, while lacking a lot of remedying qualities himself.

You can probably tell he is not my favouite male lead of all time. Saying that he did improve, kind of. I couldn't understand why Brook was so keen on him. Sure the sex was hot but so much was left unsaid. After their first night together of unprotected sex. They walk away with out discussing it. What! If I was Brook I would be marching the good Dr in for testing. She knows he is hardly celibate and what about birth control? This is where it got bit predictable for me. Brook starts fainting and feeling nauseous. She faints in front of Cory and once again they don't discuss it. All of a sudden I knew exactly where "Shameless" was headed. The surprise pregnancy to make Cory admit his feelings.

I felt like it was unrealistic and predictable at the same time. In six weeks Cory turns from a womaniser with serious mother issues to the perfect guy ready to commit? He doesn't realise Brook is pregnant when she is fainting and nauseous? Look the writing is not bad, it just felt a bit formulaic.

Well this second book in the life of the St. Martin family saga definitely pulled me in from the very beginning. This time we are getting to know the second youngest of the brothers Corrigan. The characters were very well realized and made you feel a part of what was going on. There was that bit of insta-love but it was glossed over a little bit as serious lust. The point of view went back and forth so that you got a perfect feeling for what was happening with everyone who mattered most to the story. Everything jells and flows effortlessly from beginning to end with one or two grammatical errors that do not take anything away.

Corrigan 'Cory' St. Martin has returned to Whiskey Cove and opened a veterinary clinic after finishing school. He is a man who does not believe in marriage, children, or commitment of any type but does believe in bedding every woman who comes his way, though only once. Cory has some issues he needs to work on though if you asked him he would not see it.

Brook Walker does greyhound rescues and works part-time for Cory's brother Logan at The Good Doctor brewery. Brook ends up in the clinic because her dog, Randy, needs to be euthanized and her regular vet is closed. Cory offers to do the job in a way she can be with beloved dog at the end and gives her a burial plot she can visit instead of the standard cremation. This is the beginning of something neither expected.

This was a sweet, very hot love story. The St. Martin boys are gorgeous, sexy, and a little damaged. But when you get them they are loving, loyal, faithful, and hotter than lava. This is a wonderful series novella length stories. I recommend them for anyone who wants a little turn on with their romance.

So far I'm loving this series. Cory St. Martin has opened up a vet practice in Whisky Cove. Since that time, women have been falling at his feel. He gives the women what they want, but with no hassles or commitments. He doesn't want a girlfriend, marriage and definitely not children.

Brook walks into Cory's vet practice with her very sick dog that needs to be euthanized. Cory does what he can to help her out. He goes the extra mile and takes Brook and the dog to his land for a burial. Once they are finished they end up caught in a rain storm. They seek shelter and thats where it all begins. Cory tells her to follow her desires and not her brain. Does Brook follow her desires? If so, what kind of relationship could they possibly have? Is Cory capable of having a monogamous relationship?

You will be shocked by the ending.

Yuck. The H has sex with a married woman on the gurney in his veterinary practice, and it's not the first time he's had anonymous sex THAT DAY. He then goes on to have unprotected sex with the h. I couldn't even contain my shudders. I'm not sure if the author was trying to prove the h was different or just what, but it only proved she was crazy stupid. The H never redeems himself in my eyes. Again, yuck.

Better than the first! Gina definitely wrote with more passion and showed a glimpse of her sappy side.

In this book, she taps into the thought that every girl flirts with... Hmm maybe I'll be the one to change him. Cory definitely makes you want to try!

Okay, I read the first book in this awesome series and this is book 2 in the St. Martin Family Saga. The same rules apply on this story – the book was given to me for my honest thoughts. This is another short story, so I will try not to give away too much.

Again, Ms. Gina gave me another heart wrenching, passion laden story. Oh my gosh, this woman made me tear up more than one time during these sixty something pages. I mean, seriously, I was not past the first two pages of the story and I was tearing up. Her writing is so powerful, Gina makes you feel like you are there in the pecan groves of Louisiana. And again, the St. Martin family will come into your heart and take up residence there – just be prepared.

When we first meet Brook, she will break your heart. She is in need of her vet to do the unthinkable but her regular vet is not in the office, so she has to go to the nearest one. Randy is Brook’s seventeen years old Airedale terrier and he has a tumor that has caused his health to fail and his life to end. Randy is everything to Brook and having a comforting friend in her time of need would be nice – if she had someone. But instead she gets Dr. Corrigan, the man with rumors that he would bang any female with two legs. You will find yourself falling in love with her and you will want to see her happy. But her happiness might come at a price she is not willing to pay.

Corrigan, Cory, is a man that goes through women like ladies go through clothes. He believes in staying single and living the life of freedom. He doesn’t want to marry nor have children. He never wants to go through what he went through when his mom left or be dejected by anyone ever again. So, when Brook walks into his vet office something shifts inside of him that he is not ready to admit. As the story unfolds, we learn why Cory thinks he has to be the man that does not settle down but once he gets to know Brook, he rethinks what his future could be like. But what happens when he lays his heart bare… will she accept him for everything he is and everything he is not…

Again, Ms. Gina made my eyes get wet with the emotion that drips off the pages but she also made it very hot under the sheets because these two have a very explosive sex life! Cory lays all his rules down before things go too far with Brook – just so everyone is on the same page and when he discovers that she is okay with that things are a go! Until he sees her with her friend Parker, he realizes that what he wants has been in front of him the whole time, he just has been bound by his own rules to consider what could be. And he realizes that instead of could, they can – will Brook still have him… Only one way to find out – he goes after her with almost his entire family!

There are more stories to come and I am going read them… Let’s watch these St. Martin boys find their happily every after!!!

Shameless is the second book in the St. martin Family Saga. I have mixed emotions about this book. I loved the plot, and I absolutely loved Ms. Watson's writing, but just like the first book, I couldn't connect with the characters. Don't get me wrong, the story was good, and the book had so much promise. But sadly, there wasn't anything special about Brook and Cory to make me give this more than 3 stars.

Cory St. Martin is the new ver in town and a man-whore! He loves women, and he definitely loves sex.
He had sex daily, some days multiple times. And with a different woman every time.
That sentence alone was deal-breaker for me. It freaked me out. And immediately, I wouldn't say I liked Cory. He's a playboy, I get that, and most heroes nowadays were like him. But fvcking a married woman. Yikes. It's a big no-no for me. He also runs on both hot and cold. I swear the guy was all over her one minute and then completely standoffish the next. The only redeeming quality he has is his love for animals and how he took care of Brook.

Brook's a good heroine. She's compassionate, kind, soft-hearted, giving, and she also gave as good as she got. I almost love her... well, almost. Because I eventually stopped caring when she went to bed with Cory even after knowing that he just had sex with a married woman earlier that day. I couldn't understand why she was so into him.

But despite my feelings towards the characters, I still found the chemistry between them off the charts! And the love scenes were steamy and so freaking hot! The story was heated all the way from beginning to end. And maybe that and the ending was the only reason why I liked the book. I loved how sweet and romantic Cory was when he admitted his feelings.

If you are looking for a quick and sexy read with a hero and heroine who both love animals, you don't have to look further because Shameless will give you that and more.

A sweet hot read.
First book I have read by this author and I was sucked in by the hot sexy veternian storyline, so I picked this one first.
Right off the bat I was crying along with Brook when she brings her beloved dog into the vet to be put down. But Cory steps up and shows her such kindness and understanding, you forget that he was just having sex with a married woman in an exam room, and see why he become a vet.
Brook is sad about her dog but still can't help checking him out as he flexs his bare muscles while digging her dog's grave not even what she has seen and knows about him stops her from feeling some sexual heat.
The heat between them is electric and before you know it they have started an interesting relationship. There is much hidden in both their pasts leading them to guard their hearts. But something unexpected happens leaving Cory with a need to expose his heart and feelings to keep her.
Cory justs ends up being a sweetie and romantic and Brook shows how understanding and trustworthy a woman can be.
The only thing I didn't like was that they had sex so fast after he had Mrs. Simms in the exam room, then wham! An hour or so later they are doing it in the deer stand. He admits to having lots of sex everyday and not with the same women.....kind ewwe!
A wondful read, can't wait to read about the rest of the St. Martin family.

Okay so this book had much more promise and much more erotic material! If you're gonna call yourself book an erotic romance, then there's got to be both. Still, this was kinda forgettable. There wasn't anything about either character or the story itself to make it stand out from others in this genre.

Story of Cory, the manwhore veterinarian who has no moral issue in sleeping with women -- single or married. Brook shows up at his practice with her dying dog and Cory helps her. He's seeming contradiction - treats women poorly, but treats animals better than women. What a jerk. Yet Brook falls for him anyway despite these flaws.

Sex scenes are hot; there's an HEA that was a little too intimate for my taste given that it was in public and with parents involved. There's some unresolved issues with the mother who has mysteriously come back into the family... we never learn why she left or if Cory truly will forgive her.

I feel like there could have been more to this book... and I would have liked to see what happens in town once the women learn that Cory's off the market and no longer sleeps around...

I almost didn't read this because of other reviews, but I'm glad I did. It's short and sweet. Sure he is a man-ho but I thought the author does a good job explaining the psychological need behind his behavior. She made it more believable that he could switch from being a womanizer to falling in love with Brook and frankly it wasn't surprising when they had their love of animals in common. Brooke does NOT drop her panties right away, there's a sequence of events that brings them tumultuously together and frankly, freaks the heck out of Cory. They can't stay away from each other despite his insecurities, and I just couldn't put the book down!
I must agree with some of the reviews though, that the mother's return was weak at best and her previous actions were still (speaking as a mother of a difficult child) completely and utterly unforgivable. She's got some major crawling to do to make up for her being a complete asshat!!!
I actually read Parker's book, 'Damaged' before this which is why I read this one despite the reviews. It was also a fun read. So glad I found this author and look forward to more of her work!

So far I'm loving this series of the St. Martin's. Cory St. Martin is a vet and opens his practice in Whisky Cove. Women have been falling at his feet since then and he loved it. He gives the women what they wanted when they wanted it. Only one rule they got it only once but no hassles or commitments from him. He doesn't want a girlfriend, marriage and definitely not children. A lot of this due to his mother leaving him at the age of twelve.
Brook walks into vet office with her very sick dog that needs to be euthanized. He was very old and in pain. Cory does what he can to help her out. He feels something for her and goes the extra mile and takes Brook and the dog to his land for a burial. Once they are finished they end up caught in a rain storm and hid in a deer blind. They seek out each other and thats where it all begins. Cory tells her to follow her desires and feelings not her brain. Does Brook follow her desires? If so, what kind of relationship could they possibly have? Is Cory capable of having a relationship with just one woman?

Cory despite what his brain tells him he doesn't like to see his girl upset, "s***. He wanted to see her eyes blaze. He supposed it couldn't hurt to let her use an acre or two during the day to train her dogs." Brook she doesn't mind being upfront, "I enjoyed the sex. I'm not in the habit of sleeping around, but I'd like to have more sex with you." She grinned at him. "It was fun." She pulled at one of his nipples and asked, "wouldn't you like to play some more?" Her honesty brings out his honesty and the fact that our boy gets a tad bit jealous, "the truth of it is"- his gaze roamed slowly up her body until he met her unbelieving stare - "you satisfy me more than any other woman ever has, and I need more of you." He also likes to give compliments, "I rather like the way you dress. It keeps me hot and bothered." I'm in love with this series and I can't wait for more.

3.0 RATING-I picked up this book after downloading it for free and waiting for a borrow to come through on another book. I had some time to spare and at only 97 pages, decided to give this one a try. I was interested in checking out the series since I had most downloaded on my kindle, they were freebies at one point or another. I was a bit surprised that the romance was more erotic in nature than I was expecting. Nothing crazy but definitely more explicit than I would have guessed. Overall, there wasn't much to the story but it was okay. Pretty average. I'd be disappointed if I paid to read it but as a free, quick read, it was fine. If I was looking for a quick read, I'd probably try the next book in the series to see if I liked it any better or the same.

Some spoilers - I loved Cory & Brook. I loved how they met and how their relationship progressed. I loved everything about it, the dogs, the fact that Cory opened up to her about his mom. Brook's unconditional love for Cory and her selflessness. It was a beautiful story. Can't wait for the next one.. Still too short, I wish it lasted longer. And I absolutely loved his proposal. And how Logan videoed buying the ring. So touching I cried a lot, for happy and sad reasons during this one.

I'm enjoying the St. Martin Family saga. I like this book more than the first.

Cory has lots of sex with the women in his town, which may bother some readers, however Brook comes along and rescues his heart. That is what I took away from this story, here is a women who rescues greyhounds and rehabilitates them. With her gentle ways and easy going way with life she rescues Cory as well.

I loved the ending, which I thought was very sweet and endearing.

After reading those first few opening lines, I wasn't sure how I was going to like Cory, I mean wow, man-whore with a capital MW! His turnaround was a little too quick for me, but he turned around none the less, great story for another great St. Martin!
