After eight years as a professional poker player, Cashel St. Martin needed a break. The endless glow and ceaseless action of Vegas had lost its luster and his interest. He missed his family and still wore the bracelet Isabela had woven for him all those years ago. In fact, he’d never taken it off. He was willing to give all of his success away for a chance to patch things up with the only woman he’d ever loved.

Isabela had thought of him every hour of everyday since he’d been gone. She’d loved him and she knew he’d loved her but he’d just left it all behind and never once looked back. Now he was back and wanted to pick up where they’d left off all those years ago. He must be insane. After all, this wasn’t Vegas. Relationships required trust, not luck. Hell, he’d been lucky she hadn’t punched him in his too handsome face.

I lead a double life. By day I’m training young women to become speech therapists. At night I sip red wine, dial down all distractions, and sink into the fictional worlds I create. Good tunes on my iPod are a must. I get so caught up in my characters that I truly wish the male hero would materialize in the flesh; especially when I see the cover image…I swoon.

I have spent the past several years working as a university instructor. My students are young adult females so I’m constantly running plot lines and book covers by them. They make a great beta team! I love my job at the university but there is something I love even more. . . romance novels. I'll read any genre as long as there are steamy sex scenes and the standard issue HEA ending. Initially I was drawn in by the escape and sweeping emotion of it all, so much so, I began to create my own fictional world.

Since I worked during the day my nights were consumed with writing. I was powerless to stop the stories that wanted to be freed from my mind. I actually started to get mixed up. I would think something I wrote at night was something I had said during the working day and vice versa. My friends were worried for my sanity but I assured them I had not gone mad, I was just writing. Once I started I wrote upwards of 3,000 words per day.

It was in the early millennium when I became brave enough to share my stories with others. I began to post my stories on fiction websites and then something marvelous happened—I was followed by hundreds of eager readers. I loved my followers and their kind words helped motivate me.

These days I am writing books and I’ve learned some things about myself during the process. I like to write series novels because I have trouble letting go. I like a little plot with my romance, erotica, contemporary. Call it what you will, but I have to have a good story in which to sink my teeth. If I start writing a story I have to finish it, even if it’s terrible.

My dog is my muse and when he tilts his forehead at me and blinks his large black eyes questioningly at me, I think he is worried I've been sucked into the wormhole of the very fiction that I write. I appreciate his concern but I have yet to fall down the rabbit hole. Here's to everyone else in my boat, may our voyage become a permanent destination.

Cash and Isa’s story.  Cash is a professional gambler, covered in tattoos and the complete opposite from the rest of his family.  He always wanted his father’s approval but always seem like such a disappointment.  Cash agrees to return home after his twin, Camp, begs him for help with the business.

Camp sets up a business meeting for Cash with the engineer on-site knowing full well that it is Cash’s ex-girlfriend he will be meeting with.  Cash and Isa immediately feel the pull of each other without even seeing who it is on the other side of the door.

Isa is leery about starting up another relationship with Cash because of the past when he took off for close to 8 years without a word.  She was left broken-hearted and with other disasters and no one to help her pick up the pieces.

Read about Isa’s secrets from the past and Cash’s promises to be everything that Isa needs.  But at the first sign of trouble will Cash be able to keep his promise?

You can see how the author continues to get the stories more complex within the novella.  The words and meetings aren’t as hasty but there were times in this book that it seems a bit rushed.

I had never read anything by this author so I was excited to give Suited a try. Grammatically it was pretty good so I definitely appreciated that. Where things got a little shaky for me was when Cash and Isa saw each other for the first time in eight years. Cash left her without a word and never looked back. We learn that in those years he was a drugged-up, womanizing poker player who lived life on the edge. Yet, within five minutes of seeing each other again, Isa allowed him to have unprotected sex with her on a job site. Cash didn't have to beg, apologize, or explain anything. He just got to have her and I didn't believe a woman who was supposedly as devastated by his absence as Isa was described to be would give in so easily.

I found some of the love scenes odd in the type of conversations Cash and Isa had during what should have been hot and passionate lovemaking. In one instance they were so eager to be together that they chose to forgo dinner and head to the bedroom. When they got there Cash made a comment about Isa's panties and that led to a conversation about the hand-me-down clothes she used to wear in foster care and what her life was like then. Really? Maybe it's just me but I didn't find that sexy and I was completely taken out of the moment.

What I missed was the deep connection between Cash and Isa. Sex seemed to be the answer for everything. The most bothersome moment, for me, was when Isa tried to talk to him about their son and Cash's response was to take her to the bedroom and rip off her clothes. That could've been a really emotional moment (which I wanted to experience) but I felt turned off that once again sex was the answer.

Overall I felt that things happened too fast. There would be some form of drama or conflict and then in the next paragraph or so, it was resolved. I wanted to be drawn in and invested in the characters and unfortunately I didn't experience that.

As always, these are just my personal opinions. I'm sure there will be many readers who feel differently.

I do love the St. Martin clan, they are a family of good looking but very flawed individuals who are all looking for redemption of one kind or another. We finally get to one of the twins and its the brother who seemed to have the most issues with their father. This is Cash's story, Cashel Gray St. Martin, who has been called a disgrace to the St. Martin name by the people of the town. Each new character adds something different and unique to the story.

Cash ran away from his family eight years ago because his father cut him off and demanded he become what he wanted him to be. Not the gambling, drug addled, alcohol dependent college student he seemed to be. When Cash ran however he left not only his family but the girl he claimed to love, Isabella Petrovich, who had been alone before him but who at least gained his family in his absence.

Cash went away and made a name for himself as a professional gambler, author, and TV star but is it enough to gain the love a father who shunned him. Cash also has bridges to mend with the woman that he claimed to love and then abandoned without a word. How can he make it up to her after hurting her so deeply.

These are basically short stories which give you a look at a member of the family as they attempt to get past a block in their life. The stories are somewhat erotic but I think it still works for the stories. Enjoy this short intimate stories that give a look behind the lives of the characters.

there is always one in a bundle such as this that I don't care for and I found it with Cash and Isa. First let me say that an 8 year separation is too long in a book that is supposed to instantly be love again...too much time and too many things happen to an adult to think that after 8 years she hasn't moved on. Cash was instantly forgiven for leaving, whoring around, abandoning her in a dark time without a care to what happened to her but he loved her? No, no, no.

Okay, those St. Martin boys from Louisiana are going to be the death of me. Ms. Gina did it again with another great story with characters that come alive on the pages. They make you breath in the thick, rich air of south Louisiana. They will make you feel the heat of the day and passion that lingers in the night. Her characters are as rich and dark as the coffee that is severed in Louisiana. But no matter what happens, they all know the importance of family.

Cashel, or Cash, is one of the St. Martin twins. His twin brother is Camp, whose story we have not gotten to yet…. Anyway, Cash is a man who has ran from his demons almost all his life. But the bad part is that he has always ran alone and instead of staying with the family that had his back and the woman that loved him unconditionally – he ran. You gotta love a man with demons, because it makes you want to take’em, hold’em and love’em through all of it. But Cash did not think of those around him when his demons burned in his veins, nope, he only thought of himself. But his heart never gave up the one thing, the one person that probably saved his life through all the benders, drunk, wasted, high, nights… His Isa…

Isabela is a woman who I would say is one of the strongest women characters I have read about lately. She has suffered through some serious screwed up stuff no one should every have to deal with, let alone deal with alone. She lost her parents at an early age, was put in foster care but out of all the adversity in her life, she made something of herself. And in college she found the one man that turned her world upside down and inside out – Cash. He was her everything. She would have moved heaven and earth for him but when he left her without so much as a goodbye… well, she was crushed. But her story is hers to tell and I will let her tell it… But be prepared, because it will tear your heart up in two.

These two were like a hurricane when they were together – with their love and their passion. But when someone leaves without saying a word that hurts like a bitch. No to mention that everything goes out the window at that point – trust, faith, hope, love… everything. What is there left when you are left to wonder what the hell happened? Well, that is the situation Isabela found herself in when Cash came back into town… What.The.Hell. And that bad part was her body betrayed her because apparently it had not forgotten the things Cash could make her body do with just a simple stare and even though she was dragged through hell and back, her body (and heart) still wanted him. But can she forgive him for betraying her the way he had or will that hurt forever be etched in her soul. Will Cash finally come to terms with his demons and be free of the past torment and hurt… Can he finally see through his thick, stubborn head of his what is right in front of him – his family and his Isa… are there for him, no matter what… Or will he screw that up again and forever be a man lost in the demons that possess his soul.

On to the next book… see you later hussies!

He would stop running now. With Isa in his arms, he had everything he needed.
Suited is the fourth book in the series in the St. Martin Family Saga, and it was definitely the best of the four. And just when I thought I couldn't find another man in this series to love more than Logan, Cash proves he should be my #1. This book hooked me up right from the beginning. I'm always a sucker for second chance love story trope, and this book gave me that and so much more.

I immediately loved Isa's combination of sweetness, honesty, vulnerability, optimism, and strength. She's such a strong heroine because she still managed to make something for herself despite everything she has been through. You can't help but root for her. She also has a heart of gold. Yes, she's hurt and devastated when Cash left her, and now that he's back, he doesn't want to let Cash walk back into her life that easily but she's not the type of woman to hold something over his head forever either. So she accepted him because she still loved him.

Cash. *sigh* He is everything I love in a hero. He is hot, protective, possessive, and just the total alpha male. But he's also broken and vulnerable. And I absolutely adored him. There's something about him that tugs on my heart. And I loved seeing him fall for Isa... Well, in truth, Cash still loves her, and he actually never stops. But I enjoyed seeing Cash doing everything to make sure Isa's happy. Is there anything as adorable as a badass gambler going all gooey on us over his girl? No.

Isa and Cash have such a presence on-page, and the chemistry was off the charts. There were lots of tender moments and plenty of love scenes between these two. And I was engrossed the entire time. There were also parts in the book that my heart broke for Cash and Isa. And when Cash hurt her again, I wanted to kick him. But of course, he made up for it. He went overboard in expressing his feelings with romantic gestures and proving his love Seeing them finally get their happy ever after was endearing and sweet and sigh-worthy. The ending was everything I could've asked for.

Overall, Suited is a quick, hot, sexy and sweet, and heartwarming read. Ms. Watson has managed to weave erotica and angst and true love so perfectly and in such a fantastic way that you feel everything they are going through.

Cash and Isa. This was disappointing, although not for the same reasons as others sight. Cash has always had a difficult relationship with his father. In his teens and early twenties he acts out in all the usual bad ways against his father's overbearing criticism. Yet when it all goes to Heck, and he just up and leaves town. He leaves Isa as well. No "hey babe, it was good while it lasted", or "hey babe I'll always care". Just takes off for Vegas. This was so hard to get past, I never really did. Eight years later he returns and there is Isa, a strong vibrant woman, and they BOTH (I stress both) feel the connection and longing for each other. It was not like she was weak and just falls into bed with him. She does fall into bed with him, but she wasn't weak and she said it was just sex. If anything, Cash is the weak link. He comes across as very self centered and even though he is returning to town ready to make amends with his family (no thought of Isa at that point I noticed), he is still very self centered. After Cash left, Isa had a VERy difficult time before she finally found her feet and made a good life for herself. I don't understand why she didn't try to reach out to Cash. I understand the hurt, but still...
Anyhoo, this is a story that takes a lot of suspension of disbelief. The last third of the book is super schmaltzy. At the end I still wasn't convinced of the hea. It was the sort of thing that would only take time, and there was no epilogue. It was OK I guess but not in any way satisfying.

a short tale of love and of discovery of yourself.

Cash returns home after 8 years away, at his brother's insistence, to help with the family business, as his father is ill. He arrives to help but Camp throws Cash a loop by NOT telling him that he will be working with Isabela, who Cash walked out on, along with everyone else.

Isabela needed Cash in those 8 years, and he never so much as wrote an email. But seeing him again, the reaction and attraction is instantaneous and much more powerful than before!

Cash finds out why Isabela needed him 8 years ago, AFTER she leaves him, and town, for good.

This is only a short story, 87 pages, but packs a powerful punch. Cash and Isabela relationship is hot and steamy, and so much deeper than that too. the reason why Isabela needed Cash is awful, and she had to deal with it alone. the relationship between Cash and his father is strained, at best, but once his father opens up, its heartbreaking.

Tears, at several points, so get the tissues ready!

there are others in the series, and I will probably get them at some point, they have been added to my list :-)

Another great hot and steamy book from Gina Watson. So far I have loved all of her books in this series. They start out great and continue to go strong throughout the whole book.

After eight years of being away from family and friends. He has finally come home. He has been welcomed with open arms by everyone, except Isabela. She's the one who owns his heart. He's willing to give up everything to have her back in his life.

Once Isabela and Cash are together sparks fly. She can't resist him when he comes back to town. Can she trust him again. After all, he did just pick up and leave her eight years ago. Is she willing to put her heart out there again?

I wasn't sure I'd like this book but I was surprised to find that I liked it quite a bit. I'm also curious about the previous and following books in the series and I will be checking them out in the near future. Cash is called back home where he finds out that he didn't just leave his family or a broken heart behind when he took off several years prior.
The characters are rough tough and easily swoon worthy. :)

I really enjoyed this book but wished for more to the storyline. Cash was on the outs with his father and left his sweetheart 8 years ago. He became a professional poker player and made millions. His twin called him home stating his father health was reclining and he was being force to retire. When Cash came home he renewed his relationship with Isa and he tried his best to show her he loved her.
His father came to the business one day and started to question him and his choices. His father fine fault with his whole life and he left again without saying a word even to Isa.
Would she get him back and keep him or does she even want to try?

This was my favorite, the most moving and heart wrenching. I also notice that these books are not the story of love and passion for the st martin men to the loves of their lives but also a story of over coming their own demons that surround the divorce of their parents. They all reconnect to their dad. Cliff St. Martin is a hard ass that realizes he need to own his mistakes and tell his kids he is sorry. THat is the best part of each story.

At this point I'm recognising a very formulaic approach to these books. The sex always happens to soon and because the story isn't long the reader has little chance to connect to the characters.

The fourth series in the series of the St Martins.

Cash comes back to Wiskey Cove after 8 years, he starts helping Camp (his twin) with the family construction company. His ex and love of his life Isa happens to be the engineer he has to work with and the pick up where they left off.

The both go through some emotional growth together, however after one period of emotional outpouring it goes straight into intense dirty sex and it all seems a bit naff. Not as good as the other books.

OMG I LOVED this story! This is my first read by Gina Watson and I'm off now to purchase Smolder. I found myself crying three times while reading Suited, three times! Because the author's writing was so full of gut wrenching emotion that it sucked me right in, and had me really feeling for Cash and Isa. She can write a great sex scene, too. You will not be disappointed!

Was I reading the same thing that everyone else had? I don't think so.This book was mediocre at best. I was skipping pages just to get to some dialog. I understand that this is a novella but I was expecting more. I wanted more. I can't pinpoint exactly what happen but it was bad. I couldn't get into the characters. The story was just lacking to me

I enjoyed the story of Isa and Cash. I also appreciated that the romance between them started right off the bat in this book. They not only gad a great sexual connection but their emotional history and bond was moving! I have enjoyed the entire series and would recommend it.

Good book

This was a good book to read. I liked that it had some characters from previous books. I loved it when she said:
“Cash, you’ve given back everything that was taken from me, replaced it with so much more. Thank you. For always, I am yours.”

There's a good story line in there, but it's a short novella focused on sex.
