He captures my gaze over my mother’s casket, and his lips curl into a wicked smirk.

After her mother's passing, Eden Pinecroft has no choice but to live under the roof of Maverick, Luke, and Rhys—her stepfather and his sons. In the midst of her grief, she finds herself caught in a web of dark desires and forbidden attraction.

And even as she fights temptation, Eden can’t ignore the allure that threatens to consume her with each encounter. The power and charm that define these men make them an irresistible force, and they won't stop until they've claimed her every desire.

Seduced by their intoxicating charm, Eden is thrust into a dangerous game where boundaries blur and inhibitions crumble. And beneath it all lies a secret that could shatter everything.

Wicked Little Thing is a standalone reverse harem romance with taboo and graphic content that some readers may find triggering.

When I explained this book and my reading experience to a friend, she said, “Oh, so it’s a dollar store Credence.” A better description couldn’t have been said.

One of the major reasons why I love taboo romances is the tension. It heightens so much of the romance and the chemistry between the characters. Unfortunately, this book flew right past tension and went straight to the smut. Don’t get me wrong, I love smut, but this left me feeling eh.

Taboo romances need tension to thrive. Otherwise, what’s the point?

Narrated by: Macie Miller

This is exactly what you expect to receive from a short, spicy, reverse harem. Macie does a great job with the sound quality of the audiobook. She stays true to character voices and there’s no foreign noises throughout the audio. This is a good quality audio.

If you’re looking for a super spicy book to kill some of your time or give you a break from super serious, this is the vibes the book/audio will bring. I was able to listen within a day and I knew what I expected from this book based on the description.

I know that this book may not be for everyone, but just let me say that I absolutely loved it.

Loved Eden, Luke, Rhys, and Maverick. Also, I have been in a reading slump and this is the first book that I have read in a day in a long, long, time.

My heart broke for Eden and what she was dealing with, but you can’t help what your heart wants and you can’t help who you fall in love with. I am just so glad that she had them to help her deal with everything and not to have to do it on her own.

This was a great little standalone taboo romance with lots of spice. After Eden's mom passes away, she plans on moving out of her stepfather and step brothers home. But when her step father tell her to stay, she's not sure she can. Even before her mom passed of cancer, she sort of had eyes for her step father and step brothers. But now there's nothing holding them back, as they all enter into a relationship of sorts with her. This story was quick, and straight to the point. I listened to the audio version and the narrator did a great job portraying Eden. She really captured the snarky, bratty nature of Eden well. She also kept the story at a nice even pace.

it’s just her having sex with them all- why these men are so fascinated with her I have no idea. Why they are so obsessed with her I can’t work out…There not really a story here just sex 🤷🏻‍♀️ honestly pretty cringy at times

ARC Review:

I absolutely devoured this book! I read it in one sitting, like couldn’t put it down. The Adrian family may be my new favorite trio. The plot, the spice, the characters… I mean come on, they were so well written in such a short span of pages and told such a detailed story! I really enjoyed the interactions between the three MMC’s (Maverick, Rhys, and Luke) and Eden, the FMC. Each of the guys had such a different personality, yet it all worked and didn’t feel yucky due to the step family trope. The grief component was so well
integrated into the story, it helped guide the story without taking over, and it wasn’t just thrown out once all the fun started. If you were a fan of Penelope Douglas’ Credence then this book is right up your alley! Daddy Maverick was in charge for the library scene and I loved every page of it, it was 🔥There’s even a “crawl to me” scene and if that doesn’t convince you to read it, I don’t know what will but you really should!

If you’re looking for a spicy, taboo RH filled with praise and a touch of an age gap too, this is the book for you!

4.5/5 🌟
3.5/5 🔥

This a quick, intriguing, fun, taboo and steamy why choose standalone romance.

I have to say this book sucked me, and I wouldn’t be upset if these authors give us more of these characters in the future.

I love how self-aware Eden is and honest with herself, all why trying to sort out her feelings out in the best way. She has been through a lot in a short time, but still stayed strong and very hardworking. Her friendship with Azra was wonderful. We all need another strong female by our side to get through the hard times.

Living with her former step-father and step-brothers was not what Eden thought would happen, especially when lingering thoughts and feelings start to become stronger. Their relationships quickly turn to more-and it was hot! But also so sweet, endearing, and I loved how supportive they all were of her. Boy oh boy, did these pages set my Kindle on fire.

Maverick, Rhys and Luke all had very unique and distinct personalities, which transferred over to very individual relationships with Eden. I enjoyed watching as they developed and evolved. They all brought out a different side and Eden too, which was so fun. It was wonderful watching her becomes more confident in herself, how she feel about them and the path she wants to take in her life.

Be sure to note TWs, loss of parent, off page but main plot point of the story.

I want to start by saying how amazing this collaboration is. I literally cannot tell you which part was written by which author, and I love it. This is how good co-writing looks like. It's a steamy, short, fast-paced read. I ate it up and finished it in one sitting.
Well, it's a why-choose romance, but I have a favorite one. Sorry, I just knew as soon as the MMCs were introduced. I think I have a type, but the second one is really close. I just can't imagine that sons and father have the same girl. It's a me problem, the book is brilliant. In my head Mav was a friend. Don't ask me why; this is just how my brain works. As a character, I loved him and his relationship with Eden. Age gap, forbidden, angsty and all the yummy you need. The brothers are total opposites of each other, and it just adds to the fun. I would respectfully accept a stepsis title next to them. Luke gives mental and emotional stability to Eden, while on the other hand, Rhys gives heat, passion, and freedom. This is a whole as it is. I don't know where to start with the chili peppers because it was hot! So, so hot and spicy. Sometimes I needed to catch my breath and take a few breaths to continue.
It's a spicy short story, don't expect major plot twists. I highly recommend it.

Thank you for the opportunity to listen to this as an ALC for my honest review.

2.5 stars for this taboo spicy romance.

This book is short and a quick and easy read or listen. I listen to books between 1.5-2.0 speed and listened to this on 1.6x and was done in 3.5 hours. I will say that when I received this ALC compared to when I started I had forgotten what it was about, but immediately in the prologue it came back to me. I applied for this ALC because it was a taboo romance that sounded like it was going to be similar to Credence *which is a book I did enjoy-unpopular opinion in some circles, I know, I know*. However, this book had literally no tension like at all and within the first chapter it was strange but seemed fairly obvious that all of the male main characters liked the female...particularly interesting for the step-dad who just went through the loss of his wife/the FMC's mother.

This read to me like the Temu version of Credence. The idea was there, good somewhat standard concept for a taboo romance, but the execution lacked a bit for me.

I would recommend this though to readers who have not read a significant amount of taboo romance, because you might it like it more then 🫠🫠

Story:
A standalone RH that's all about our FMC.
Delightfully steamy and fast-burn.
It touches on some dark themes—lightly dark—so it's important to read/listen to the trigger warnings.
We have a young adult FMC with the sweetest personality, but that doesn’t stop her from being a total brat to her men. Which, let’s be honest, they seem to love.
The MMCs? A stepfather (hello age gap) and two YA stepbrothers with very different personalities, but who definitely know their audience.
She gets to know them only in adulthood.
An unconventional family that knows how to share.
HEA type: “Our beginning!”—plus a great bonus scene.

Audiobook:
Macie Miller absolutely nailed it!
The story’s in first-person POV, and she brings our FMC to life in such a natural, heartfelt way.
You really feel her emotions, her personality, and that delicious tension she has with the MMCs.
The way she describes them—and the fascination she has with each—is just so damn good.
An authentic, addictive performance.
Heads up: this is a very steamy book, so be mindful of where you’re listening! I recommend a very cool place to avoid sweating.
Oh—and it’ll definitely pull out those involuntary smiles, like: “I have a super delicious secret.”

I received an eARC in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions of my own.

I’ve been going back-and-forth for about three days trying to figure out exactly what my rating for this book is going to be. Overall, I really did enjoy it. I really loved all the characters. Maverick, Rhys, Luke, and Eden have such a great dynamic, and there’s so much that could be built upon that. If you know anything about me, you know I very much enjoy a good forbidden or taboo romance. And throwing in the why choose aspect? Well that just makes it even more appealing, and honestly makes it an instant read. My main issue with this book is that there just wasn’t enough detail about really anything in the story. Everything felt somewhat one dimensional, and things seem to be glossed over rather than explained. I think the story could’ve been fleshed out a little bit more especially since things felt very rushed and scenes/people seem to come out of nowhere. I just wanted more out of the story than what we were given.

I don’t know if I should give this to three or four stars I’m really fucking torn. So I’ll just settle for 3.5.

Narraror Review:
The narrator for the audiobook version of Wicked Little Thing did a great job narrating this story! She used different voices for the different female characters and also did well with the male characters’ voices.

Book Review:
Wicked Little Thing is a reverse harem/why choose, age gap, taboo, daddy & praise kink romance. The plot is well laid out, and I really enjoyed the back story. There was good character relationship building and plot before the spice beginning. And when the spice came, it was gooood (while still holding the plot!). There were definitely some "omg did I just hear that?" and jaw-dropping scenes. J.A. Carter and Alexandria Goncalves did a terrific job with this romance! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for these types of tropes. You won’t regret it 😉

Thank you to J.A. Carter and Alexandria Goncalves for the ALC version of this book for my honest review. ❤️

I love JA Carter so I knew going in this was going to be pretty good. This was also my first step-sibling trope so I was a little nervous going in but needless to say I didn’t need too. This book might have been short but it was amazing.

Eden is working through losing her mother and who better to help with her grief than her stepbrothers and stepfather. I will say age gap is not usually my thing so I did gravitate towards liking the brothers more, HOWEVER, that doesn’t mean I completely disliked the relationship between her and her stepfather.

If you’re looking for a quick, steamy read look no further. You won’t be disappointed.

I have already read all of Alexandria Goncalves’ previous books and have enjoyed every one of them. When I heard she co-wrote Wicked Little Thing with J.A. Carter and it was a taboo, why choose story, I knew I needed to check it out.

The story centers on Eden following her mother’s passing. As she’s piecing together her life moving forward and figuring out where she’ll live and what she’ll do for work while finishing her degree, her stepfather, Maverick, insists that she stay living with him and his two sons, Rhys and Luke, so she doesn’t have to stress. However, being in close proximity to the three of them unleashes the feelings she previously squashed down.

This was such a great, quick read. I loved the taboo nature and how Eden established relationships with each of her men. I also enjoyed that while dealing with grief and loss, this stayed on the lighter side overall. While there probably could have been more tension between Eden and the MMC’s, I think the story did fine without it. Overall, I really enjoyed this and think it would be a great beach read or palate cleanser if you’re looking for something quick and light that is fun and a little taboo.

I know not everyone will be into this book, but I really enjoyed it! I loved all the characters in their own right, as well as their connections with each other.
I definitely felt for Eden with everything she was going through in this book. It was fun watching her connect with the different men and how different they each were even though the 3 men are all related. Maverick was her protector, Luke was her friend and confidant, and Rhys was her bad boy.
The spice was spicy in this one! I mean it’s a why choose so of course it is.
I really enjoyed this quick spicy read by 2 Canadian authors.

So I’ll start by saying I liked this book and loved the daddy vibes BUT wish it had so much more. IT IS REALLY HARD to do an RH standalone and hit all of the bases. It just is. You need time to develop characters and have them change and cement a good plot and relationship with each other and the reader. This book didn’t hit all the bases. I wanted it to be longer and have more character development. Smut was good and so was the audio narrator. I would recommend this to someone who cared more for smut than they did plot.

It wasn’t a bad small read but I just feel like there wasn’t much chemistry between the characters. The whole book was basically smut, which I don’t mind sometimes, but the only plot of the book lasted like one chapter. I’m not sure how I feel about the whole situation since the FMC’s mom was in love with maverick and she wasn’t a bad person… so the FMC getting with maverick after everything with her mom is kinda icky for me. I’m giving it a 3 since it is a short book with good writing, but it just wasn’t something I liked a lot… kinda started skimping past some words like 60% in.

3 stars is generous!!!

- This was about the sex.

- The story didn't make sense, the mom was married to the guy but unhappy but still happy.

- Were was she all this time?? She came into their lives when her mother was sick. Was she with her dad???

- She was into step-dad since meeting him at hospital when mom was getting cancer treatment...Because horny is horny!!!

- The sex was mediocre, the same act and same position every time.

- And everyone is OK with sharing her but on the same time super jealous of other guys and pissing on her.

1.5/5 It’s like the author went ‘here have all the tropes that possibly fit in 200 pages but without any emotional attachment or context’ 🤣 what did I just read?

With more backstory it might have been an alright book but this literally had zero plot so I didn’t care for any of the characters at all.

Holy heck

Just wow what a wild story. I mean yesss!!! I love these characters these men are possessive an sweet so many different personalities. I completely understand her hesitation seeing as it was her step father and his 2 boys...and she struggles with the dynamic however those feelings have been there for a long while. Love the story

Short, sweet and smutty 🤭😏
Torn between what Adrian I would pick but I have to say Rhys may be my go to! Loved the spice in the book! Would have added more to the plot of the book, I felt some scenes were rushed and overlooked. I loved the FMC Eden and her confidence and sassiness😌

Another taboo porn book with no substance, no character development similar to Seven Rue's, (though not as horrible) and just as poorly written as Wattpad's. They should be ashamed to put this out there and sell it as taboo romance.

My only complaint was it was so short! Did I read this book in one sitting? Yes. Do I regret shrugging off my adult responsibilities to get caught up in this taboo why chose? No, no I don't. As always, if you are sensitive, please check trigger warnings before reading this book. On to the next!

Just wow! This book was hot 🥵 and I loved it! For some the relationship would be way to much but to me I was just perfect. Yes a bit taboo but that fine. There nothing wrong with a step-family romance if anything it just made it that much hotter. It was a great quick read
