An interesting vampire novella to a series I never heard of.

Silent Bite: A Scanguards Wedding was a very short audiobook. I get that it was a novella but some of these are 4-7+ hours long and this was about 2 hours. Not bad because I feel like a lot happened in it.. but at the same time I feel like things were annoying me more. It mostly had to deal with the Chinese Wedding. Don't get me wrong, some aspects were really cool about it but others were just making me eye roll. Maybe it was all the "unlucky" things that I just wasn't fond of.

Either way, I was committed to this book and saw it to the end. It was cute and I was happy that everyone got their happy-ish ending. Might dive into the rest of the series - might not. Who knows.

What a great short.

Yes, she does it again. Her vampires are stunning, strong and insatiable. I need a body guard, I wonder if they are for hire?
I enjoyed this book and it craziness of mother of the bride, traditions and secrets. It was a fun light read with just the right mix of drama, sex and great storyline. Now on to Cain's story.
First I need to enjoy a cigarette, smoke them if you have them.

With the 1001 Dark Night series of novella's I can get introduced to something new to me that either works, or in this case doesn't. This is my first foray into this series (and author) and I admit to being a little lost in regards to the "world" and characters. This is Ursula and Oliver's wedding (who met in a previous book). I did like the attention to Chinese wedding customs (an unlucky # of bridesmaids so most get more! to an unlucky birth date, to the wrong color of flowers). This was both interesting and aggravating. However, I found I really didn't care about either character or the vampire security firm.

Silent Bite is story 8 ½ in author Tina Folsom’s Scanguards Vampires Series as well as the 4th novella in the 1,001 Dark Nights Series. I’m a huge fan of vampires and had been looking forward to this story and it was fantastic.

Oliver and Ursula come from two very different worlds. Sure, he’s a newborn vampire and she’s still human but besides that, Ursula’s family is Chinese and her parents believe in their traditions. Normally that wouldn’t cause too much of a headache except during a wedding, which is exactly what they are in town for. Ursula and Oliver’s wedding. Let the wedding stress begin! Of course adding the whole “my fiancée is a vampire” thing into the mix is bound to make things just a tad more stressful than the usual “what color taffeta should we use for the table runners” stress. And it does. As if all of that wasn’t enough, someone is lurking in the shadows, determined to kidnap Ursula and consume the blood that is calling to him.

Will their wedding go off without a hitch and will they finally be able to bind themselves together forever in blood bond union?

From start to finish I loved this story. I found myself laughing, fanning myself, and gripping my e-reader for dear life at points. Ursula and Oliver weren’t only sexy to read they were also very endearing and relatable. Relatable in the sense that their attempts at keeping things from Ursula’s parents brought me right back to the many times I tried to hide things from my own parents (sorry, mom!). The panic when you think you fudged your lie or your friends not remembering what they were supposed to say and the laughter that happens when it all comes out in the end anyway. Add that to the smoking hot connection they share and oh my, they are pretty amazing. The other aspect of this story I loved was the ever-present threat that was lurking in the shadows. The threat that no one knew about apart from the reader. It’s like those horror movies when you yell “don’t go into the basement!” at the screen. It was intense, nerve-wracking, and really well done. Now, I won’t give anything away but I will tell you that the ending was beautiful and I couldn’t have asked for a better one for Ursula and Oliver.

All in all, Silent Bite was the whole package. Elements of suspense, romance, sexy heat, and humor make this novella a win in my book! Thank you, Tina, for a fantastic read!

Silent Bite: A Scanguards Wedding is the follow up novella to Oliver's Hunger, a story I loved. Then again, I love the Scanguards series in general. Really such great reads with lots of action, romance, interwoven characters, and continuing situations that introduces new character weaving in the old.

Now about the novella, this is Oliver and Ursula's wedding. Naturally things aren't going to go smooth. Oliver's had a rough time of it so why would his wedding be any different?

Ursula's parents are very traditional Chinese people, that doesn't bode well for our lovebirds already living together. Then we have a mad vampire on the loose looking to kidnap Ursula for her blood. If you read Oliver's Hunger, you'll understand why. Haven and Wes are back with Wes up to his old tricks and witchery, and of course, Oliver's blood lust.

Tina Folsom did a great job with such a short story weaving all the story lines together. And naturally Oliver and Ursula got their HEA, but not without much struggle and shenanigans.

Silent Bite: A Scanguards Wedding is a muat read for any Scanguards fans!!

I am not a big paranormal romance reader, however, I absolutely LOVE the Scanguards Vampires Series! Talk about some HOT vampires! Tina Folsom sucked me in on the first book and I anxiously await each and every one in the series. So, needless to say, I loved this novella! In true Tina Folsom form, this book was HOT and exciting. We get to enjoy Ursula and Oliver plan their wedding with her parents in town and her overbearing mother trying to control the whole thing. We get glimpses of the other vampires that we have grown to love over the series. We also get excitement with the rogue vampire that is still addicted to Ursula's blood. Nothing like a good vampire fight before a wedding! This novella was great and is a BIG 5 stars!

Tina Folsom is one of my favorite authors. I love her Scanguard series. They are all so hot. I loved Silent bite because it was a continuation of Olive and Ursula. You got to see them become one. The story was powerful. I love how Tina brought in some Chinese culture/Traditions in this story. Some of them I didn't even know about. The sex was even hot. Kind of makes me wish I fall for a vampire. I loved seeing all the characters back. I can't wait for the next Scanguards book to be released. Tina did a fabulous job. If you like paranormal make sure you check out her entire Scanguards series.

I had not read any of the 1001 Dark Nights books, but when it was a part of the Scanguards world? I had to get my hands on it. I loved Oliver's book, but this insight to the wedding? Oh, I had to read it. I have loved all of this author's books so far, and this one does not let me down.
Since the group had rounded up all the vampires who were addicted to the special blood of the Chinese girls, everyone was under the belief that that threat was behind them. Oliver has enough to worry about with Ursula's parents coming to stay at his house. How he was going to pull this wedding off without them realizing he and his friends are vampires? Or that his "parents" look only a couple years older than him.
Dr. Drake had decided all the vampires that had been addicted to the blood had been rehabilitated and were no longer a threat. The last of them was released and taken to the airport to leave. When one of them catches Ursula's scent, he thinks that Scangaurds just wanted them out of the way so they could have her all to themselves. He immediately plans to abduct her and get his drug back. Things are going to get dangerous with this in the mix! Can they keep her safe? Will he be able to keep the parents in the dark? What will happen if they find out they are surrounded by vampires? Could he lose Ursula?
If you love these vampires, this is a must read book for you. I loved this one as much as all the others, and I cannot wait for Cain's book. But, this book makes the wait not so bad.

Most wedding have problems. Some small, some complicated and some hilarious. But Oliver and Ursula’s wedding preparations are unique. Between his special vampire needs and her special blood and her Chinese mother’s superstitions, the week before their wedding is filled unusual twists on the normal problems.

It all starts on the day Ursula’s parents arrive. Since they don’t know about vampires, the Scanguards had to create a cover-up story, but not all the actors can get their lines, and the parent’s names, straight. Then there’s the number of bridesmaid’s and their dresses, the reception decorations, even Oliver’s birthdate is wrong.

And if that not enough, an unexpected enemy has his sights set on kidnapping Ursula and drinking her dry.

It’s not all problems though. Little Isabel is adorable as the flower girl, Delilah gets a surprise and Wes’ attempts at spells is hysterical.

I loved it! For a short story, it’s packed with a lot of surprises, action and behind-the-scenes sex. I love Ursula’s father. No wonder he’s an ambassador. He needs to be with his wife.

But all works out in the end and Ursula and Oliver get their happy forever.

Fave scenes: Oliver’s underwear, the red reception, Ursula’s father’s decision and the Scanguards special wedding present

I absolutely freaking loved this! When Oliver's Bite was coming out I was super excited about it because I wanted, no I NEEDED to read Oliver's story. And when I read it I fell in love with Ursula and I thought "I wished we could get more" Then Tina Folsom announced that there was going to be Silent Bite, I was doing a happy dance but it sucked that Amazon was going to have exclusive rights to it for the first three months. I tried waiting, I really did so I convinced my friend who has a kindle to lend me her ereader and I lent her my kobo. and I had to buy her a couple ebooks, and lunch and a trip to a bookstore (which was no skin off my nose I love all books!). And it was worth it! it's a short read but it's fantastic, especially if you loved Oliver and Ursula as much as I did. and I felt her pain with organising a wedding, while mine wasn't with traditional Chinese I had similar problems (dresses, flowers, decorations, guest) minus the blood lusting vampires! And after all the bribing of my friend she may now be interested in the Scanguard series! yay another convert!

This wasn't a bad story, but it felt largely unnecessary to me. It was also extremely short, giving readers a footnote continuation of Oliver's Hunger. I liked seeing the dichotomy of Urusula's family and how they interacted with one another. Other than that, there really isn't much to recommend this book. The addict storyline was done with Oliver's book, and we really didn't need the catch up as to what was going on with them. The wedding, while nice to see, wasn't also really needed, as it was a given by the events at the end of Oliver's book as to what was going to happen. All in all, it was an entertaining read, and yet one I regret paying for.

"Silent Bite: A Scanguards Wedding" by Tina Folsom. Book 8.5 in the Scanguards Vampire series.

I really enjoyed this novella! Short, sweet and to the point. This novella is a continuation of Oliver and Ursula's story.

Oliver and Ursula are about to get married. The problem is, her parents don't know Oliver is a vampire. And Ursula's mother is extremely superstitious and traditional so of course she is driving Ursula nuts! Oliver is trying to keep his vampirism a secret and trying to keep Ursula calm. Will the wedding even happen? Can Oliver survive not being with Ursula for a week?!? Throw in someone stalking Ursula and you have one exciting little novella!

Such a fun story!

Oliver and Ursula's wedding is fast approaching. Ursula is worried about her parents finding out that Oliver's a vampire along with several other people in the wedding party. Ursula's mother is in a panic about the number of bridesmaids and Oliver's birth date. Meanwhile Michael Valentine is released from Scansguard to get on with his life only to discover that he really isn't rehabilitated after all. One whiff of Ursula's blood and Michael hatches a plan to make her his. Will Oliver and Ursula make thru wedding preparations? Will Michael succeed? Your answers await you in Silent Bite: A Scansguard Wedding.

This is a short novella that is a continuation of Oliver and Ursula's story. She's been freed from the blood brothel for a while now and she and Oliver are engaged to be married. Not everything is as easy one would hope though. It's not going to be easy to hide the fact that most of the wedding party are vampires including the groom. There's also someone from Ursula's past that is determined to make her his.

This series is one of my all time favorites and Mrs. Folsom did a fantastic job as always. Hopefully we will have another full length novel again soon.

I love the scanguards family, This novella is all about Ursula and Oliver's marriage.

Oliver struggled with blood lust even more so when he met Ursula as her blood contains an addictive element, but he has that all sorted now. The wedding is in a week and all they have to do is keep her family happy and unaware of vampires, not an easy task!

This is basically a happy, easy read, there is a bit of angst mixed in. It's a great way of catching up with all the scanguards.

Great read.

I love the Scansguard Series! I've got every one of these and let me tell you even though Oliver is the who I consider the 'young' one in the group he's still a lovable character. This is book 8.5 I guess you can say leaves off from Oliver's Hunger. Ursula and Oliver needs to have a wedding but its clear someone is there to make sure it doesn't happen. Will they get their happily ever after?

My first Tina Folsom book. The story of Oliver and Ursula's wedding was brilliant. After reading it I have already purchased eight more in the Scanguard series and I have read at least three since then. I was captivated by the intenseness of the characters in the stories. I absolutely love all of the 1001 Dark Nights novellas and Tina Folsom has a new fan

What could be better than a Vampire Wedding?

In this novella we get to see the wedding of Oliver and Ursula. The two had quite the beginning to their relationship. Oliver had saved Ursula from a blood brothel and Ursula had saved Oliver from blood lust. There were a lot of bumps in the road in the beginning, but they finally got their HEA.

In this story they are preparing for their wedding. It's a wedding filled with Chinese traditions and lots of superstitions. Ursula and Oliver try everything they can to keep the truth of the vampires and Ursula's captivity from her parents. Regardless of all their efforts, things don't go exactly as planned.

I really enjoyed this filler story while I wait for the next. The Scanguards Vampire series has everything you could want in a paranormal romance novel. It has hot vampires, sassy women, witches, hybrids, true love, danger, intrigue, and a few unexpected thrills. I loved this series and hope you do too.

The narrator did a fantastic job bringing this story to life. Well done to both the author and the narrator.

Meh…

𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐢𝐭𝐞 is part of the Scanguards Vampires series by Tina Folsom, featuring a spicy vampire wedding story for Oliver and Ursula from a previous book. I haven’t read anything else from this author, and I honestly had a bit of trouble connecting to the characters. I appreciated the attention to detail with the Chinese culture and the drama, but I just felt an emotional depth wasn’t quite there. — ★★★.5

Such a fun, enjoyable, stressful and crazy time is occurring when Oliver and Ursula attempt to get their wedding organised whilst not letting on to Ursula’s parents that vampires exist.
Added into this stress mix is a stalker after Ursula’s special blood.
