A plague has wiped out humanity and a new civilization emerges. Tucked safely behind their iron walls, protected from the horrors of the plague ravaged world, the citizens of this community live as if the rest of the world doesn’t exist. Their own ways of life are often comical and heartbreaking. But it’s their world … welcome to Beginnings, Montana.
Circle of Justice is the fourth book in the series. Emotions run high as Beginnings tries to bounce back from conflict with the scientists and the tragedies that occurred. Normalcy fails to return as Joe discovers that a traitor is among them. The traitor is bound and determined to bring the downfall of Beginnings, and take back what is his. But can he do so without tragedy? The revealing of the traitor leads to what could be the biggest loss Beginnings ever faces.
Although I personally am taking a break from this series, I have found it very entertaining. It is quite predictable in places it should not be and I don't care to see a strong character reduced to a lot of whining bickering that feels like filler. The upside is, it is difficult to put down and the characters stay in your mind even when the book is not in hand. The plot remains strong and the story line is believable. A true page turner.
You've gotta love Jacqueline's brain, although some editing wouldn't go amiss, spelling, grammar, and maybe a few more commas would aid comprehension! The Ripple is next, and, boy, oh boy, my house work chores are piling up because I'm binge reading back to back!!
I was really annoyed by Frank, Ellen, Dean, etc at first but now...now they’ve grown on me. Totally dysfunctional, but there’s love, caring, and hope. Definitely going to keep reading the series.
This series is really good, an end of the world scenario with fantasy/time travel themes as well! Something for all! I do really enjoy this writers work & do recommend!
Another good book in the series. I really enjoy these books, they are well written and have good character development with a good story line. Take the time to read some good end of the world books and start with this series.
finished the book in one sitting, and I pretty much cried my way through this book! again an amazing book and now about to start part 5! (although after some sleep as it's somehow give 3am!)
