About the author

I'm T.L. Onyx, the anomalous, and sometimes wittingly dark, author of several novels I hope you'll come to love in due time. I'm a teacher, a writer, (a lover AND a fighter), an artist and all around book junky - or for those of you who know what I'm talking about, a devoted biblioklept. I am a traditional reader who adores the feel of a hardback book that I can get papercuts from while I find myself in thirty-two different positions on my couch. The idea of experiencing the world, both real and fiction, right from my seat just makes me all flustered with excitement. Needless to say, I've fallen in love with my characters and as much as I hate to admit it, they aren't real until someone else gets to know and love them too. Since the age of eleven, I have written several novels and a plethora of poetry, inspired by the way a simple word can transform and express one’s thoughts. I currently reside in East Texas.

WOW! This book had me going through every emotion. I loved it! If you want suspense it has it. If you want mystery it has it. If you want danger and intrigue it has it. If you want a bit of romance it even has that. Sit back and enjoy the ride.

Project Lullaby is a top secret program involving the use of various torture and conditioning techniques on children in an attempt to find the perfect method for creating a flawless, emotionless assassin. Under the umbrella organization, the Left Group, Project Lullaby was both a success and a failure; they succeeded in creating killers but they ultimately lost control in a karmic bloodbath kind of way.

We follow two escapees from the program -the only two left- as they walk very different paths on the road to life after the project. One woman is filled with a need for justice and revenge, the other is just trying to live a normal life. Both are killers and both are survivors. And eventually their paths are going to have to cross.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review and was very pleasantly surprised by the intricacies weaved in this tale. It was an emotional, human story and I don't want to say too much about the journey because any detail could really ruin the trip, but I will say that my favorite character turned out to be a little girl named Chloe.
