This is a mini handbook on many fascinating and highly dangerous fish, animals, birds, amphibians and reptiles. It explains the differences between something that is poisonous as opposed to something that is toxic. Although these two concepts are often interchanged, there is a basic difference. Not all species are mentioned but a few common and some very uncommon ones are mentioned, stating where their primary habitat is and their potential danger to human beings. It may not appeal to everyone, it may not interest some but I can guarantee you that it could just save the lives of a chosen few. Like Steve Irwin, Darwin Adams knows his critters and has written many books enlightening the public to the mysterious world around us. I highly recommend this book and can only say that it has something for everyone.
