A great resource to use to gain insights and battle procrastinaion.

Right at the beginning, the author offers you four free books, one of them being a workbook, if you sign up to his mailing list. I did test this out and I can confirm that you will indeed receive four books. This is a definite plus for any reader of this book.

Right off the bat, you'll notice that the font is easy-to-see, that this book is well-formatted, and that this book has been edited. The writer gives us a nice quote to start, which I really like a lot: "Procrastination is the thief of time." - Edward Young

"Procrastination has caused the loss of promotions, jobs, and clients." I wholeheartedly agree with this statement, as I can reflect on my life and think about all the times I missed something because I took no action. Without taking action, change cannot come to fruition.

The author mentions a differentiation between intention and action. This is quite interesting, as prior in the reading he asks a bunch of relevant questions that will get any reader to think. In case you're wondering, this book is well-written, as I found myself zooming right along the prose.

Solid examples and strategies are presented in this book that are relevant to the topic. Even if you choose not to read the entire book, but rather read it in sections, you'll consume a ton of imperative information that is sure to boost your life.

"...the awareness of these cognitive patterns is instrumental in effecting change." This is a brilliant statement and shows that the author has researched procrastination a lot. The introduction of this book is excellent and is worth your time.

"You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great." - Zig Ziglar (n.d.) I love this quote. Think about it: it rewards you for taking that initial step to making something happen. Nothing will change if you don't do something: actions speak louder than words.

The writer gives you some "commandments" to battle against procrastination, but then gives the reader the leeway to make their own last few. This is a great step to helping book lovers fight against some of their procrastination issues. There are even boxes later in the book to help you write down your goals: short versus long-term.

"Goals are crucial to our growth because they define the maps and routes that we should take." I agree with this quote. "...poor time management may accelerate the tendency to delay essential tasks." Again, I agree with this as well. Having good time management is a skill that everyone must learn in order to succeed in life.

There are certain triggers that develop procrastination as well, such as being a perfectionist.

This book really gets you to think, and is a great read. Any quotes that did not quote someone directly were from this book.
