I don’t appreciate relationships like Callan and Olivia have. She’s the nerdy girl, not beautiful enough for him to date but good enough to be his friend and to cook for him, take his laundry and put him on this pedestal and massage his ego. What happened here was he friend zone her because this way he could have any woman he wanted and still have her as a best friend.
Olivia likes him since forever and pretends she doesn’t so she can have him in her life. How sad is that? I felt bad for her . Also, she looks a complete different character from what I’ve read in the first book where she appeared.
She says she’s close too all the brothers and tries to explain her relationship with each one but it wasn’t clear to me why Callan was the best friend and crush while Gage or even her boss had a better understanding of her.
Also, the whole “I’m not his type, I have curves and I’m not blonde” was so irritating. Why are you waiting for a guy who doesn’t appreciate you?
So, this book is really disappointing.

Did you know that in the ten years I've been publishing, I've never written a friends to lovers romance? So, when I decided to try my hand at it for Yours Actually, I was a little nervous. I decided I should gather a stack of friends to lovers books and read them so I could see what the reader expectation is for one of these romances. Well, I downloaded a stack of books and read maybe three chapters in total from all of them. I just couldn't get into any of them. That's not to say at all that they weren't great books, they just weren't for me. It happens, right?

So, what did I do then? I simply decided to write the friends to lovers romance I would love to read.

Over the last decade, I've come full circle with my writing. After years of thinking I needed to change the way I write so I could fit some perfect box of writing craft, I've finally arrived at the place where I'm letting go of everything but what I like. I've been getting here slowly for a little while now, but I've really doubled down with this Black brother series.

And so here we are...it's release day for the book I wrote for myself. My first best friends to lovers romance will not be my last! I love, love, loved writing this story, and where second chance romance used to be my jam, I think this may be my new jam.

I hope you love this story as much as I do. It's fun, and banter-y, and steamy. It's got all the Black brothers in there for you. It's got some of the characters you know from previous books in there. And it's got a beautiful romance right alongside the kind of friendship between a couple that I adore writing. Oh, and I've written it as a standalone, so you don't need to have read the first book in the series to enjoy this one.

Swooooooooooooooooooooooooooon! Now... where does one go to get a best friend like this? I'll do the angst time to end up with a Callan Black of my very own! Gimmie gimmie gimmie!

This book just felt warm. Like a lush blanket wrapped round me. Yes there were little gaps where the outside world crept in (silly little Penelope) and (naughty online gossip articles) <---- Very disappointed in @thetea_gasp BTW. But i just wrapped it in tighter and shut them out of Callan and Olivia's world.

Callan and Olivia were already in a relationship they were just too scared to take the next step. Olivia had admitted she loved him to herself but would never go there because they had this fantastic friendship she didn't want to ruin. It meant the world to both of them so i can certainly understand it. Callan was deep in denial about his feelings. He knew she was the most important person to him but he absolutely never saw what they could have until one wedding date...

I loved them so much. Olivia, while being a bit of a ball breaker in business also had a vulnerability i loved about her. She was all about making sure everyone else was ok before herself. She looked after Callan and his family by doing things in the background to make their life easier. What i loved is how they repay the favour. I loved how Hayden never questioned her over gossip. He knew without a doubt she was doing her job, it was so sweet. She was a sister to all the brothers. Except Callan of course, she was his everything. I also loved her whiskey drinking side! Bring on more drunk Olivia!

Callan, being a typical bloke, was oblivious until something just clicks for him. I can say that although he took his time, his thought process endeared me to him. I felt he was brave in the way he put himself out there to her. She deserved that honesty from him and he delivered! Once he realised he could have it all, he went for it. He put it all on the line and boy did it pay off! I loved growly Callan, boy knew his assets and used them!

They were friends first and you instantly felt their connection. I know this story was kind of slow burn but that connection kept it fresh because the relationship was in place it was just the physical that had to bloom.

Smexy times were hot! Olivia was cotton candy wrapped round fire and i loved how Callan scorched that sugar!

Honestly i can never really fault this author. She has real way of dragging you into these worlds and telling you stories you want hear. Stories that make you smile and dream and feel like you're a part of it.

I can't wait for the other brothers. They've all piqued my interest and its always great to see previous characters pop in so you can catch up.

I had a moment of wanting to stab Callan for being a typical man in the very beginning, but that feeling ebbed, plus his cock-up added to the angst of the storyline. Callan is a complete swoon show. The way he treats Olivia translates so well into their relationship as it grows. I loved everything about this book. These Black men are hella possessive and I am here for all of their stories. Plus, their women are the kind of tribe I would love to surround myself with.

Olivia and Callan have been best friends since they were kids, twenty one years of friendship. Olivia long ago accepted that Callan would never return her feelings so they have settled into a friendship both count on.

When an acquaintance questions whether he has thought about having sex with Olivia it’s all he can think about. Throwing Callan off.

Now they both need a plus one for all the summer weddings they will be attending.

Why not be each other's plus one, no brainer right?

Then a drunk Olivia reveals far more truths than Callan knew or was prepared for.

But, Callan’s childhood has wrecked his perception of relationship’s which is why he avoids them.

And, Liv is a runner, when the fear sets in she ends relationships.

They have helped one another through every good or bad moment. They know one another inside and out. Why not explore their feelings?

Even though a Billionaire romance isn’t a reality for the majority of us, Nina makes us believe it could happen. And the normal day to day things happen to them to!

Adore Callan and Liv, his realisation of his love for Liv was just gorgeous. And her unwavering love for him was perfect.

Loving the Black brothers, can’t wait for them all!

If you dig these tropes, then this is definitely a book for you! Callan and Olivia are life-long best friends who get each other better than anyone. Olivia is essentially part of the Black family and has had a major crush on Callan since she was a kid.

Olivia has a background in law but works as a crisis manager, solving problems for the rich and famous. Callan is a billionaire businessman working on expanding into Europe. Wedding season is upon them and when Olivia tries to narrow down her date options, Callan says they all suck and their friends jump in to suggest they go as each other’s dates.

Callan is the typical man who doesn’t realize what he has in front of him and Olivia (he calls her Ace!) doesn’t want to ruin her closest friendship over feelings he doesn’t reciprocate. When they do get together though, their passion and deep desire for each other is hot!

This book was charming and a perfect depiction of the BFF to lovers trope. The way it slowly unfolds and the way it becomes so clear to them was terrific. I liked that there was no 3rd act break up and that the problems weren’t of their own making or due to idiotic miscommunication!

Definitely recommend for anyone who likes banter & billionaire romances!

I loved this story it is a fantastic friends to lovers romance. Childhood friends Olivia and Callan decide to be each others plus ones for all the weddings they have to attend over the summer and it is a decision that will change everything.

It was obvious that these two were oblivious to what everyone else can see. They were the first person they called in good and bad times, knew each other inside out, they were literally like a married couple without the sex and certificate. I love when you get to hear the man's inner thoughts, we see how unsure he is about making a move on his best friend. I found myself laughing when he starts to really see Olivia as a woman he is attracted to and his x-rated thoughts of them together. I liked that they never changed how they were with each other, the fun banter was still there, the protectiveness just went up a notch. The relationship was passionate and loving and because of their past they had a strong foundation that proved unshakeable.

I loved the flow and pace of the storyline, the inclusion of the friends from previous books made me happy they are both funny and supportive. The little tease for the next book has me intrigued.

A fantastic, slowburn friends to lovers, contemporary romance as childhood best friends Olivia and Callan team up to be each others ‘plus one’ during wedding season where, judging by the number of invitations they’ve received, their friends are dropping like flies. The only problem was Olivia had been in love with Callan for years but not wanting to ruin a friendship that meant so much to her, she had never acted on her feelings while Callan, the perpetual bachelor had no idea how he felt, he just knew he’d never liked any of her boyfriends. The only people who could see they were perfect for each other were their friends.

I loved this story. There was a great flow to the writing and the characters were fabulous, drawing me in and making me wish I could be part of their group. I felt for Olivia’s dilemma, if I had a friendship like the one she shared with Callan, I’d be wary of risking it but the chemistry between them was so strong it was only a matter of time before something happened. I loved the secondary characters, mainly Callan’s brothers and Olivia’s girlfriends whose antics and texting brought a healthy dose of humour to Yours Actually. I’m looking forward to reading more books from the Only Yours series.

Callan and Olivia have been best friends forever, Callan stays away from relationships seeing how they can be seeing his parents one.
Olivia has been in love with Callan but didn’t want to ruin their friendship. When a friend decides with them having so many weddings together, and Callan not wanting to go with his previous plus one, neither can see a reason why not.
Callan sees Olivia in a new light after her drunken rambling and wonders if she could feel the same way, he definitely doesn’t want to ruin the friendship, but she flirts back and he sees the want in her eyes.
Olivia can’t believe that they are flirting or that they are going to see where things go, everything seems so easy between them, they get each other, finally they realise what everyone else has seen.
It’s been a lot of years in the making and seems everyone could see that they were perfect together except them.

This story is so good!!! Callan and Olivia are best friends since forever and these two had to have known they end up together I mean they are absolutely perfect for one another.
One of the reasons I loved this story is that I love the fact that Callan and Olivia know each other so well that it avoids all that unnecessary drama that sometimes drag on in a story. Nothing but a great story in this book!
I laughed, got angry at a couple of characters and I definitely was fanning myself.

I swear anything by this author is golden, epic, life altering in book reading! Her characters are relatable, you feel a connection to them and the stories and in case of the Storm series you wish you were one of the women and had a Storm man yourself! I’m sitting here wishing it was yesterday , wishing it was Groundhog Day, where Superman can spin the world back in time and I can restart “ Your’s Actually.”
Then I’m stuck there, until I can get my fill.
Because I have not had enough of Callan and Liv
Where I can experience “ My First” along with their firsts.
Where a H does not dilly dally around when he’s finally smacked in the face with a “ Reality Check”
Then the h discovers that this man whom she has secretly loved for years and is her best friend takes that reality check and thoroughly acts on it, bringing out the woman inside of her and one who owns her wanton love of everything to do with Sex and him. Her discovery of what she likes and her prowess when it comes to what Callan likes.
Callan & Liv have always been best friends since children , there are no secrets, just honesty.
Which is so good in a book that I love to read.
I love an author who doesn’t make us wait half the book for the Dynamic between these two to start, also love Nina more for Liv not falling for the “ other woman” dirty tricks .
Please Nina, Bradford set the bar, but Callan has met it and did not disappoint. Raised it a tiny bit, because schucks, we have more Black Brothers to look forward too.
I can’t wait when all brothers have a book and I can reread, hours of reading.

OMG OMG OMG THIS IS SUCH AN AMAZING BOOK!! This is one of the best (if not THE BEST) light romance books with the friends-to-lovers trope I've ever read!!

As someone who's always loved enemies-to-lovers in books and haven't read many friends-to-lovers ones, it was really surprising to me when I found myself interested in Callan and Olivia's story after reading the first book in this series. I remember loving how their very brief cameo was filled with such intense dynamics, believing that their storyline had so much potential and somehow KNEW they were going to be the cutest freaking couple.

AND OF COURSE I WAS RIGHT‼️‼️

OMG I WISH I COULD READ THIS BOOK AGAIN FOR THE FIRST TIME BECAUSE IT HAD ME BLUSHING, GIGGLING, SQUEALING, KICKING MY FEET IN THE AIR AT 3AM IN THE MORNING 😭😭😭❤️ ❤️

In this book, Callan and Olivia are such besties goals. They confided in each other during hard times, they checked up on each other and weren't afraid to have difficult conversations. They even took time out of their busy lives to maintain a whole routine to call each other at 11AM in the morning EVERY DAY to just TALK. She took care of things he couldn't do and he supported her whenever she needed him. They were just each other's "person". The person you tell everything to, the one you go to for support and comfort and the person who you trust the most. Honestly, the platonic love they shared as friends was just so admirable to read.

But as much as I love their friendship, the part where they went from friendship to more is SO SO SO EXQUISITELY WRITTEN. They connected on a deeper level, they took their attraction and made it into a romantic relationship while still maintaining every aspect of their beautiful friendship. The way they were both protective and possessive of each other, the way they LOVED and TOOK CARE of each other 🥹❤️❤️ I feel like it was such an honour for me to read about their relationship. They still made time for the little things they did as friends, such as Callan asking how Olivia's day went, or Olivia knowing Callan's "tells" and asking what's troubling him. They could always read each other's expressions like a book. They always knew each other inside and out. Personally, I think it's so sweet how they were still each other's best friends first and romantic partners second. They are truly soulmates, truly meant to be.

On a side note, the humor in this story was just ABSOLUTE PEAK✨. The banter was already so amazing when they were just friends, but when they accepted their attraction to each other, EVERYTHING WAS 10 TIMES MORE AMAZING. The teases, the jokes, even the awkward moments where both were still trying to suppress and hide their feelings,...

Oh and the level of maturity in this book is THE BEST. They aren't the cliché "i suddenly found him/her hot, we shared a night of passion and became bf/gf." Olivia and Callan handled everything like a pro, like being partners in a romantic relationship was so familiar and came naturally to them. And I guess in a way, it was. Even back when they were just friends, they already did everything and tick off every box that a romantic couple should aim to be able to do. That's why when it was time for them to become more, they stepped into their roles as romantic partners so smoothly.

Bottom line: Olivia and Callan are one of the BEST couples I’ve ever read 🥹❤️ #couplegoals #ilovelove

Nina never ceases to amaze me

I’ve said it once before, and I’ll say it again. Nina. Never. Ceases. To. Amaze. Me.

Every book she writes, I think “this couple is my favourite”, and then she writes a new book, and that couple becomes my favourite and I can never decide on a favourite. But I think this time she’s really done it.

Callan and Olivia are my favourite Nina Levine couple, and you can’t change my mind (until the next book at least).

Their ability to communicate, love each other and be so goddamned relatable was everything I wanted in these two, and more.

Thank you Nina, for Callan and Olivia, and for once again, getting me out of a reading slump.

Couldn't finish it

The leading lady was pathetic, doing everything for this man, telling him she loved him, groping his leg, offering massages, all in his business, it was very weird. And then he never noticed any of this until suddenly, one day, boom, he sees her. It all gave me the ick and I just couldn't take it anymore.

If she's not capturing my heart with mega-alphas bikers, then she's capturing it with alphalicious billionaires.

That's right, Nina Levine's latest release, YOURS ACTUALLY, book #2 in her Only Yours series, has the most SCRUMPTIOUS leading man who melted both my heart and my panties. It's not only the leading man who caught my attention though, his leading lady was just as perfect. Callan and Olivia are SHEER PERFECTION. Friends and confidants since childhood, their banter, support, encouragement, and love for each other are what everyone wants in their life. Talk about relationship goals. What will happen when feelings become deeper, and dreams of more begin to filter into their friendship?

A summer of weddings, where they agree to be each other's "plus ones", brings them closer together and taking the next step. Nina wrote this friendship beautifully, it was a slow burn journey between two people who are protective, trusting, had terrific communication, and a love for each other that went deeper than either expected, but one that their friends and family always knew existed. I loved that Nina gave both Callan and Olivia's POVs, their inner monologues were a wonderful insight into their thinking and amusing, especially when they were conducting internal wars with their own thoughts.

I absolutely adored this couple, they've become one of my favourites, and that's saying a lot. I loved that Nina built on the foundation of their strong friendship and turned it into something more. Let me just say, when Callan and Olivia finally get to the smexy times ... talk about burning up the sheets, they do not hold back. I loved that both were confident enough in themselves to enable the giving and receiving to be shared. Yes, there are some small patches of drama, moments of jealousy, and outside influences trying to separate this amazing couple, but what would a relationship be without all those?

Once again Nina has WOWED ME. She just has that ability to make her characters so likable, relatable. I enjoyed catching up with Bradford and Kristen and the rest of the Black family. I'm really looking forward to Hayden, Gage, and Ethan's stories. The first two in this series have been incredible, so I know the rest will be too. I would love to be able to go back and read this book for the first time again, it was just that good!!

Next up is Recklessly, Wildly Yours Ethan's story. I can already tell, from the epilogue, that it is going to be another brilliant read.

I am in complete and utter lust with these Black brothers! Nina Levine has clearly upped her writing game as she tells the next story in this series, this time featuring Callan Black. His lifelong friendship with bestie Olivia is one he can't function without, despite him being a very successful businessman. In fact, their plan to be each other's plus one in a whirlwind of weddings is just the start of Callan looking at his Ace in a completely different way and from there all bets are off as he is more than determined to make Olivia his forever.

These two dance around each other for a good part of this book but I really liked how Levine allows us to truly get inside Olivia's head, in particular, and get to watch her be the powerhouse problem solver she has become. Although she has her issues with a tragedy that occurred when she was young, she still takes care of her own which includes both her best girlfriends and the rest of the Black family. We even get a glimpse of just how close she is to Callan's brothers, each in a very different way and you could tell they have an affection for her that is quite special. I really admired how she handled her life and how smart and astute she was with both clients and close friends alike. But it's the way she knows Callan and how she seems to both make him smile and give it to him straight with respect to a deal he's working on that clearly makes her the woman he didn't even know he needed.

But once these two find each other truly craving the other, especially after years of want on Olivia's end, watch out. Like big brother Bradford, the buttons of Callan's designer shirts go flying more than once as the passion between him and his Ace becomes something both desire like nothing they ever could have imagined. And once they've tasted the forbidden fruit, as it was, it's like a thirst between them can't ever be quenched. And I loved every single moment.

I guess what I simply adore most of all with this book and the one before it, is the respect both main characters have for one another and the support they give to each other no matter what. Even if things might not have turned out the way they should with Callan and Olivia, I had no doubt these two would be there for each other even if it hurt. There's also that element of honesty, where they can admit painful things, especially with Olivia, in particular, using therapy as a way to fully heal any of the past trauma she has endured.

Beyond easy to get lost in Nina Levine's words and once again full of the feels I will never tire of, Yours Actually is yet another winner for this talented writer. With another small snippet as to what is to come in the epilogue, I have no doubt that I'll be here for every future book involving those sexy beasts known as the Black brothers, and trust me, you should too.

Yours Actually by Nina Levine is book two of her Only Yours Series featuring the five billionaire brothers of the Black family. This time we have Callan Black and his best friend Olivia. A sweet slow burn, friends to lovers story where everyone knows it would happen and were hoping they wouldn’t take too long to get together!! Their romance revolves around them both needing a plus one for the numerous weddings they have to attend. An arrangement that ends up changing their lives forever.

Callan has strict rules about his female friends and won’t break them because he doesn’t want to ruin the friendship they have, however, Olivia starts to make him want to break them. He is confused over why he’s never imagined a future with Olivia and struggles when he starts to have naughty dreams about her. Ever since kids they have talked to each other about everything but have never come close to taking it any further .

Olivia is a crisis management expert and works for Hayden Black’s law firm. She is very professional and good at her job but shows her vulnerability in her relationships. Growing up with the Black brothers, she has managed all five of them but knows Callan better than anyone else. She and Callan have been best friends since eight years old, she has looked after him ever since and he has protected her. She did have a crush on him when they were teenagers but although wondered what it would be like to date him, she has never risk their friendship.

Olivia’s best friend Blair is desperate for her explore her feelings and Callan’s brothers love teasing him because she’s always helping him. They still call each other everyday at the same time. When they agree to attend the weddings together, the sexual tension builds. Callan start looking at her differently and when she questions him over his behaviour, they find themselves fighting their attraction. The pull and desire is so strong that they both feel it but can they explore their feelings? Can she risk telling him she wants to try dating him or will it change everything?

Various scenarios occur at the weddings until they can’t deny it anymore. He realises he wants her more than anything and is amazed he’s been so blind to his feelings for her but is petrified of ruining their friendship. She’s so funny when drunk and flirts with him. He gets all growly and their self control snaps after karaoke. There are some ups and downs as it’s not as easy as they’d hoped when lies, rumours and concerns affect them both.

The texting between everyone was very entertaining and the way all the brothers watch over her was so sweet. It was nice seeing Bradford and Kristen get married and fun having the cameos by characters from the Escape With A Billionaire Series. The epilogue was great with the brothers causing some mayhem before Callan and Olivia get their HEA. Throughout the book we learnt more about Ethan ready for the next book, Recklessly, Wildly Yours, a runaway bride romance between him and Madeline.
