Discusses the nutritional benefits of eating raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains, seeds, and sprouts, shows how to develop and maintain a raw food kitchen, and suggests ways to stay on a high-raw diet away from home
This was my introduction to raw food. I read it 30 years ago and have only just started applying it! That's not the fault of the authors though. This is a meticulously researched ad written book. Just enough science to make it convincing, not too much so it is still easy to understand! The recipes are good - I have tried many of them. I wish it had photos though, really like to compare my creations to the real thing - for the laugh! Probably the biggest difference to my health has been from following the instructions in this book to try sprouting. I feel great eating a high raw diet (I'm at about 75% at the moment) but the sprouts make all the difference. When I don't have any available I only feel good, not great. Sprouts give me a zingy, energetic feeling that is hard to beat. Highly recommend this book to anyone thinking of either simply incorporating more raw foods into their diet or of looking for a natural solution to a health problem.
This book should be "must read" in schools. I you wanna look and feel fresh and young, read it and change your eating habits. Stop eating dead food and you live longer!
