Quite an enjoyable easy read. The book is written in the first person, and follows the entrepreneurial success of a Chinese guy in his early thirties. From internet cafe bum living off his wife, he falls down to being a construction worker, but then bounces back, and ends up as general manager of a construction supplies company. Interesting romantic side-plot: the main character has a dysfunctional relationship with his wife, a city woman who keeps complaining about him. When he gets back on his feet, he meets a lonely but very smart entrepeneurial woman in her thirties. She first advises him on his business, he likes her company, tells her about his intentions to divorce - but seems very perplexed when she proposes marriage. And in the end, he returns to his wife, leaving her to disappear off the pages. Overall, not too bad.

Well written novel, character development is good and story is quite detailed. I would say the first half is much more enjoyable than the second half though.
