This book was possibly the worst-edited book that I have ever read. It needs editing for grammar, punctuation, clarity, content, length. But the story idea started out fresh and fun, and it was amusing enough that I read it in spite of its oh-so-many shortcomings. I was overlooking so much bad punctuation and grammar, being confused about who was speaking, not knowing what the setting was, etc., that it made it easier to also overlook unrealistic things or other issues in the story or characters, too. Ultimately, though, I didn't much care for the main character, and I didn't like the ending, which was rather abrupt, and it spoiled the enjoyment that I had had in the book.
Disclaimer: I often read advance copies of books that have not had their editing completed. This book is not from where I get most of my ARCs, but I don't remember where I did acquire it from; when I went to read it on another device, I could not find it in my account. It is possible, therefore, though unlikely, especially because this was published seven years ago, that the edition of the book that I read was not a finished version. Either way, the editing was worse than the ARCs I usually read, too.
Content: I think I remember some scattered profanity. There are no sex scenes, but the prevailing attitude of the book is that there is nothing wrong with sex outside of marriage.
