The Dark Library

Rate this book
Hannah has her masters degree in Library Sciences, a big student loan, and no job. She is forced to accept a temporary job cataloging the library of the very brash, arrogant, insufferably nouveau riche Lord Carling in his old manor house in the country. Yet to her consternation, she finds that part of the library contains rare books on bondage and slavery by the likes of the Marquis de Sade. The old books intrigue her dark inner fantasies. When she discovers a hidden passage down to an ancient dungeon she is fascinated. Yet when she manages to accidentally lock herself in a cell and is discovered by Carling she finds herself plunged into a darkly erotic relationship of submission and bondage to the handsome multimillionaire. The wicked fantasy of being a slave girl in an actual dungeon sets her mind aflame and pulls her free of her dull workaday existence. Yet she quickly realizes that Lord Carling is not merely playing. As he teases and arouses her, as he disciplines and trains her, he is conditioning her to becoming an actual slave! Fiona is smart enough to see it, but will the deep hunger, lust and excitement within her let her resist? Or will she become a slave girl to a nobleman who isn't exactly noble?

If it wasn't for the maids it would have been much better! To explain, we have a wonderfully erotic and dirty discovery going on her between Hannah and Lord Carling, and we know other things are going on, but when towards the end of the book, all the elements are put together and it was, meh, not up to the same standards as the rest of the book
