Beauty is a sweet kitty who loves to sleep, snuggle, and play with her best friend, Princess Aurora. Children ages 6 to 9 will love getting to know one of the Disney princesses' new Palace Pets in this book, one of a series of early chapter books that come with a collectible bookmark!
A short chapter book with a few pictures, mostly short sentences lacking diversity in sentence structure. My daughter just ha Sri have this one when she saw it on the library book cart. She’s 4 and the pink, glitter, and cat on the cover definitely appeal to her. She carried it around for a few days before we read it and said it was her new favorite book. The story is just ok, which is pretty much what I expect from any kids books based on movies/tV shows. It’s more about selling the product than a real quality story. The story features a cat named Beauty owned by Princess Aurora. Aurora asks the cat to stay up for her star shower party, but the cat struggles because it is so sleepy all the time. Other animal friends try to help the cat, who eventually realizes she’s always sleepy because she has never thought about anything more interesting than bows and caviar. The story quickly concludes from there with the cat and other animals attending and enjoying the star shower party.
She really enjoyed all of Aurora's pets and especially the sleepy kitty Beauty. My daughter is cat obsessed so it was an easy sell. She also liked that the kitten went to Aurora's old home and met all the woodland creatures. We read this at bedtime and had to span it across two days. The second night she asked for something different so we came back to finish the story a few nights later. So I gave it 4 stars because she wasn't super intent on finishing it right away.
Beauty, Princess Aurora's pet kitten, wants to attend the Star Shower with her best princess friend. Unfortunately, the Star Shower happens at midnight - when Beauty is usually fast asleep! Searching for the perfect spot to nap so she is rested for the big event, Beauty finds nothing but problems...until her friends help her find just the right solution. Anyone looking for a gentle story about cats, princesses, and friendship will love this adorable adventure!
This is a good book for children who love Disney Princesses. Personally I didn’t like it, but I am 14 years old and don’t really enjoy princesses as much as I used to.
Absolutely adorable. Beauty is a cute cat that I want to have. This kind of book is so perfect for practice the english, and this year I want to read more books in english for the same reason. Maybe I must try with children's books.
In this book, we've an adventure with Beauty who wants to go at the star shower but then she realize that the show will be at the midnight, and Beauty can't stay awake at the midnight. She has to make anything for stay awake at the hour of the show, with the help of her best friend, Bloom.
When Aurora asks Beauty if she will stay up till midnight to watch the stars with her, Beauty agrees immediately. But how will such a sleepy cat be able to stay awake?
This is a cute book for an early reader who is eager for more Disney. The illustrations are a little much, but I understand how they would appeal to a younger child. This book also has some back story from the original tale and works as a small refresher for children who are unfamiliar with it.
Mostly what I expected from a book like this. My 6 year old girl really liked it as she loves anything princess. It was a very quick read, we could have gotten through in one sitting.
Very cute. Lots of bright and fun pictures. Zoey thought this book was great. The mix of a Disney Princess she already knew and a kitty - what's not to love? Even though she was very insistent when we talked to the librarian for book suggestions that she did not want pictures in the books we read together, she sure seemed to love this book with pictures. Guess she's still just 2.
