This book is a novelization of the fictional animated series, The CW Chronicles.

Vlad never knew what a normal life was like.

Back on Earth, he was a military mental patient. Now, he's a member of the Dimension Police, partnered with the ultimate champion of Order, Captain Weirdiverse. Together, they are investigating the trail of carnage strewn across the cosmos by the unstoppable force of Chaos, Villain.

Thrust into the Weirdiverse's tragic struggle of Order versus Chaos, Vlad is imbued with the power to see and narrate memories, to enter minds, and experience the events of the past.

However, Villain has found a way to destroy the very source of the cosmos' life source, and Vlad is imprisoned by his allies, accused of xenocide.

Using his newfound ability, Vlad recounts the events that led to this catastrophe, helping the Dimension Police find a way to reclaim order in the cosmos. Only by working together can they stop Villain, but sometimes, not even the ultimate sacrifice is enough to save the day...

In this battle of Good versus Evil, the crazy guy is the middle ground!

'"Sinners"' is the first episode of The CW Chronicles, a saga of cosmically satirical proportions!

Silvano Williams is a Puerto Rican-born author whose voice was shaped in the vibrant, culturally layered streets of suburban Houston. Born in 1975, he immigrated to the U.S. as a teenager and immersed himself in the diverse neighborhoods of Alief. There, amid the pulse of ’90s street life, he attended high school and college—experiences that forged his outsider’s perspective and now drive the psychological intensity of his transgressive fiction.

His debut novella, Spoon-Fed Addiction (originally copyrighted in 2000; revised Smashwords Edition 2023), is a stream-of-consciousness psychological thriller rooted in Houston’s undercurrents. Through the eyes of a nihilistic antihero, it explores addiction, revenge, and existential despair with relentless clarity. Williams’s later works, including The CW Chronicles: "Sinners", continue this tradition of emotionally charged storytelling—blending dark humor, aching regret, and surreal introspection.

A trailblazer in self-publishing, Williams has built a loyal readership drawn to his stark portrayals of human vulnerability. When not writing, he travels widely and reflects on the “colorful characters” of his Alief upbringing, channeling their voices into narratives that confront societal illusions and expose uncomfortable truths.

Williams retains full rights to his work and is currently adapting Spoon-Fed Addiction for the screen, seeking creative collaborators to help bring its haunting vision to life.

Do Not Read This Book

The CW Chronicles is a campy, straight-forward, and off-beat story told through irony, symbolism, and subtlety. The characters are annoying, especially the narrator, endearing, and simplistically complex. This is the kind of book that sticks with you like your mother-in-laws meat loaf… or maybe cancer.

Actually, that’s it. This book is cancer for the mind. It slowly grows on you, infecting a larger and larger area until it’s all you can think about. It uses your thoughts like swollen lymph nodes to spread to all the juicy, vital areas of your consciousness. Unlike cancer, you enjoy every mind-altering second.

In his first book, SIlvano Williams shocked us with his imagery and filled us with anxiety through masterful timing. In Sinners, he uses theme and mood to breathe life into the story by satirically mocking it all along the way. But don’t worry; he did not neglect the talents from Spoon-Fed Addiction in the process. In just 90 pages, Silvano takes from local domestication to inter-dimensional travel, from villain to hero, and from hope to despair.

Finally, the artwork: It’s hokey, over-the-top, and exactly perfect. The visual images not only bring the tale to life, but are seamlessly matching in style and heart. I’m telling you, cancer.

Like Nietzsche’s abyss, this is a story that stares back at you… and grins.

*A Copy of this Book Was Given To Me By The Author In Exchange For An Honest Review*

I have two descriptions of this work: - (i) A thrilling adventure through a space different from our own, with a battle between good and evil which will have you interested to the end. (ii) A tale which one would expect to find in a comic of the Marvel type, with a superhero and villain, both of whom are practically indestructible.
Whilst the cover is suggestive of a comic book style, the descriptive text suggests its suitability for serious sci-fi readers (such as myself). I feel that it would have been better for the author to decide which to promote and then stick to it. He very obviously has great talent, but sadly, for me, it was not used to its best effect in this book.

Take an exciting trip around the Weirdiverse with Lieutenant Vladimir as he recalls the tales of Captain Weenie, or CW as he prefers to call him, as they travel through the cosmos trying to stop the evil Villain from destroying planets and the life that it inhibits.
This funny, yet serious, tale of good verses evil will have you on the edge of every page!
Looking forward to more adventures and unraveling the secrets of our super hero, super villain, and the mysterious Little Fat People!

Vlad, a former military patient metal has become a member of the Dimension Police. Who are the Dimension Police? Vlad is partnered with Captain Weirdiverse. Thrust into order, Vlad becomes able to see and tell memories of others. He can even have the experiences of the past in that mind of the other. Villain has created a trail of people killed by him. Villain has found a way to destroy the source of life. How did Villain do that? Using his new found powers he must find some way to stop Villain. How will he stop Villain? Or what will happen if he doesn’t?

An amazing tale that takes one on an incredible adventure which had me completely glued to my chair while reading this. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Opening this book I was not sure what to expect (cliche's). I received more than this review can do justice to. I was by Page 19 no longer mentally reading it from my Kindle. I was, instead, invisibly stepping into a widescreen projection of it and found myself thrust into it's Marathon - Like live action Super Hero comic book movie debut. Impeccably done. Stellar artistic cover and segment illustrations. From one writer to another all I can say is Wow...To have a mind like yours.

Unfortunately I had to stop reading this before I started to gain interest. Some plodding space opera thing, where the villain is called Villain. And he does villainous things, for some reason. Seeing as so much of the text was in info-dump style it was really quite remarkable how little I learnt.

Not quite what I expected

Williams's story, Sinners is an interestingly eclectic sci-fi story. I don't think the cover quite fits with the story, but the story is good. It's a unique premise with interestingly colorful characters themselves and their names. I enjoyed reading this story, and the author does well to tell it. An unexpected, yet delightful story and I look forward to reading more by this author. This book is recommended by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews.

I greatly enjoyed this book I can see this being read in middle school and up. It is a great candidate for being turned into a graphic novel and I would love to see a series of continuation of certain characters. If you like space this is something you should pick up. Trigger warning for violence and bloodshed

This was a fantastic read! I won my copy through goodreads giveaways. I received a copy with full color artwork (it's not a graphic novel but has periodic full page illustrations throughout). The artwork is top of the line. The story and characters are fun and I enjoyed reading this one. Highly recommended!

This book reads exactly like an animated sci-fi series and I mean that as the highest compliment. The characters are larger than life, the stakes are cosmic, and the humor sneaks up on you when you least expect it. Captain Weirdiverse stole every scene he was in, and Vlad is such a fascinating anti-hero. I loved the idea that the “crazy guy” might actually be the moral center of the story. Fast-paced, visually vivid, and surprisingly emotional. If this ever becomes an animated show, I’m watching day one.

What really stayed with me after finishing Sinners wasn’t the action or the sci-fi concepts, it was Vlad. His pain, confusion, and desperate need to make sense of his past felt raw and real. Being accused of something so monstrous while reliving your memories is a terrifying premise, and the author handles it with empathy and depth. This book asks hard questions about good vs. evil and whether redemption is ever truly possible.

Silvano Williams delivers a clever and ambitious opener to The CW Chronicles. “Sinners” balances satire and sincerity in a way that feels fresh within the sci-fi genre. Vlad’s ability to access memories is not just a gimmick, it becomes the heart of the narrative and a powerful storytelling device. The themes of accusation, justice, and sacrifice linger long after the final page. While some moments feel deliberately chaotic (fittingly so), the emotional throughline remains strong.

I picked this up thinking it would be a fun, fast sci-fi read and it was but wow, it was also way deeper than I expected. Vlad’s story is tragic, confusing, and oddly relatable, even in a universe filled with dimensions and cosmic forces. The pacing kept me hooked, and I loved how the mystery slowly unfolded through memories rather than straight exposition. By the end, I actually felt bad for everyone involved, which says a lot.

The CW Chronicles: “Sinners” surprised me in the best way possible. What starts as a cosmic police procedural quickly evolves into a deep psychological exploration of guilt, memory, and morality. Vlad is not your typical hero he’s fractured, haunted, and painfully human, which made his journey incredibly compelling. The concept of narrating memories and reliving the past is handled with creativity and emotional weight.
