'Claimed in Canada' by Christine Edwards. This is another Hot book by Ms. Edwards...there is a section in this book that does go a little violent that might take be starting to you...but overall a another great read!
Violet travels to Canadian Yukon on a grant to study Wolves. There she meets Luke and Damon who do not like each other and are both attracted to her. Violet is attracted to Luke but he seems kind of stiff/stern at first where Damon is more friendly, open and he is a Dr. But Luke is not happy that Violet has been talking to Damon and tells her she needs to stay away.
It doesn't take Violet to long to know which one she wants to be with but things are not what they seem with Damon.

My rating has no bearing on my love for Christine Edwards writing style. I just didn't connect with the heroine in this book. She really bothered me greatly with her back and forth attitude. Then sudden "love"
Once I get that "icky" feeling for a character, it's so hard to get past it. I was going "you stupid selfish woman" for most of the book. I loved Luke, even though I wish I'd have seen more of his "silly" side but I did love him. When a man says "I don't share, EVER" he is a winner! My #1 trait in an alpha for sure! Christine wrote a great alpha, just he didn't get his great lady ..but that is just my opinion.
Can't wait to see what Naughty has in store for me.

I don't remember where I got an sample for this book but it intrigued me only to find out it wasn't released yet. Bummer. So I begged the author for an ARC because I wanted to read it and I didn't want to wait. I was so shocked to see she had replied and complied. Now this is my happy ending because I liked the story. I can say being a reviewer, that scenario doesn't happen often. Violet is a researcher for wolves in Canada on a grant, when she meets Luke. The story was a small length novella, and I found some of the conversations to be a bit flat which pulled the story away from a perfect rating. The author though had a pretty good storyline and character depth which made me like it. I liked the alpha male angle and I would definitely get the next in the series!

Violet is part of a research team in Canada - focused on the wolves in the area, when she finds herself drawn to (and between) two men, who both won´t take no for an answer. The safe doctor Damon or the thrilling logger Luke, what is she to do
When she goes with her gut and the man who gives her great vibrations, something she didn´t see coming happens, thanks to the sore loser.
Smutty fluff, domineering men and suspense in a great mix.

Violet has always loved wolves. Now she can pursue her dream. Given a research grant, this is the prime opportunity. I loved this story and the way it unfolded. It kept me turning the pages. Can't wait for more by this author.

Violet is doing research on wolves in Canada when she first
meets Luke.  She runs into him a couple
of times - and then he ends up saving her as she is attacked by some
wolves.  Luke takes her home - and from
the start, he shows the true Dom that he is and Violet accepts the opportunity
to give him her submission.

Violet has also met another man, Damon - who interests her
too.  She has to choose between him and
Luke - and after another night with Luke she realizes that he is what she wants
and needs.  Violet is upfront with Damon
- but he is not happy that she chose Luke.
Things get interesting from here for sure!

This was a great short sexy read.  Luke is a great Dom and he really cares for
Violet, realizing that she is exactly what he needs.  This is great book to read to keep you all
hot on a snowy winter day!

The Yukon Territory of Canada. Where maybe you, the reader, think of sipping a hot toddy by a fireplace after a day of skiing. Well maybe you should read this book in the surroundings of your own home where you are safe because "Claimed In Canada" will have you gripping the edges of the book (or kindle) until your knuckles go white from the anticipation!

The pulse pounding prologue is indeed what the title of it says it is...full of ADRENALINE. Violet is a determined young woman with her whole life dedicated to one thing, wolves. So meeting Luke, the head of a logging company taking down trees in her research area, is the last thing she wanted. But her chance meeting with this strong, overbearing, arrogant man sets off a chain reaction of events that are lead by her own self discovery & her awakening loins.

Luke is a Dom, through & through. A demanding, head-strong, powerful, self-made creature; much like the wolves that run wild in the mountains. But he differs from them in 1 amazing way....he is ALWAYS in control. And after he saves sweet Violet from certain demise, he sees his chance to bring out the submissive in her that he knows lays just beyond the surface of her sweet, delectable skin.

On top of the dangerous weather of the perfectly described terrain, you must add another dangerous demanding man....Damon. Or IS he dangerous? Violet is caught between a very big rock & a tight place when both men make it clear that they wish to "claim" her as their own. She is falling fast for Luke & his gift of dominating, mind-blowing sex. As well as his over protective nature to keep her safe from all the wolves in the Yukon. Mind you, not just the ones that walk on four legs!

However, Damon peaks her interest in so many ways too. And for Violet, the idea of being Dr. Damon Holden's wife would have many perks.

This is a riveting, sexually urgent, emotionally driven novella with a plot that will make you not want to stop reading until you have reached the very tear jerking end. The insistentency of Luke & his explicit description of complete compliance to be his Submissive is raw. It will make you wish you, yourself, could be as uninhibited as Violet is under his powerful passionate hands.

Reading what Violet blossoms into after not one but 2 life threatening events is heart warming. She realizes what she wants for herself & the man she knows she is meant to be with. From the mind bending blizzard of BDSM sex scenes to the distressing, cruel moments of dispare. Luke says "You are never getting away from me" and he means it!

This author's gift of detail in setting the scene is remarkable. Her ability to take you on a "master to slave" journey into what many feel is unknown to them is unmatched. I have been CLAIMED by Christine Edwards once again!

4 out of 5 Licks

Well, that was quite an intense story! The way it was written had me pulled into the action immediately. I found it easy to imagine being in the snowy forest with Violet……and Luke. Oh.My.God….Luke, he is the quintessential alpha male and not only that but a full on he-man Dom, be still my beating heart! There is no doubt that Violet is attracted to him but she is also attracted to Damon. Damon is very different from Luke. Where Luke is a rough around the edges outdoors guy, Damon is a wealthy surgeon with smooth moves. However there was something about Damon that made my skin crawl and his creepy side was soon revealed (I totally called it!!!)The sex is smoking and Luke really showed his dominant side.

Excerpt

“You know what a Dom is, Violet?” My brain does a free-fall as all of the air flees my lungs. He sits patiently awaiting my answer with a cool gaze that doesn’t betray his thoughts. I wish I could be so calm. “I, well, I’ve read a few books. I assume that you’re referring to a d-dominant?” I stammer, unable to meet his eyes. My throat feels as dry as kindling. “Yes, now tell me about what you’ve read.” Still no expression. Is he trying to torture me? I’m sure my face is fire-engine red by this point. “Well, they were just, you know, erotic stories with Master and slave scenarios.” I start to look at my hands clutching my tea cup when he says to me, “Don’t look away again. Tell me, did they get you aroused?” He’s impossible. “Luke, this is highly embarrassing. I’m shy to begin with and these questions are really personal. I’m feeling very uncomfortable now. Is this your goal? To humiliate me?” I turn away again. “You’re gorgeous when you blush like that, baby; however, I asked you not to look away from my eyes. If you do it again I’ll have to teach you a lesson, little beauty. Understood?

Some people may be turned off by spanking, flogging and orgasm denial but not this girl! The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because Violet irritated me with her going back and forward between the two men and being a smart girl she made some really stupid moves. However, please don’t let that put you off what I think is a really well written book. I am looking forward to hearing more from the author, Christine Edwards.

*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Violet London travels to the Canadian Yukon on a research grant to study wolves. She can think of nothing better than to study them firsthand. That is until she decides to confront some very loud Logger’s that are interrupting her work.

“Who is this mysterious man?”

“What I wouldn’t give to have that man buck naked and pinning me down to his bed right now!”

Luke Benoit is a French Canadian Logger that loves his job and loves the mouth on this very spunky researcher. Luke is a very dominating man that dominates very well. He can tell the first time that he meets Violet that she is a true submissive, but does she know that? Warning her about a snow storm coming…Violet gets stranded and is about to come face to face with the one creature she is sworn to protect.

“She had better have a flawless explanation as to why the hell she went against my orders and stayed up there this late in the day. And she’ll damn well take her punishment for it, whether she’s into it or not.”

Damon Holden is set up with Violet on a dinner date. He is a very attractive surgeon with money and an education. He is a safe bet for Violet until he is unable to get her full attention and his violent side comes out. Can Luke save her in time from the one man that has the biggest secret in town?

This was a very enjoyable book to read. The passion between Violet and Luke is instant. They just cannot understand how one conversation can cause such a spark. Luke can bring submission out a Violet with just simple words. But Violet has a big heart and finds it very difficult to believe Damon is a bad man and that she should stay away from him. This scene is not for the faint of heart but made the storyline great.

My Favorite Laughable Moment: One of my favorite moments was when Luke is trying to explain what he wants from Violet. I can imagine this being my reaction to the situation.

“You know what a Dom is, Violet?”

“I, well, I’ve read a few books. I assume that you’re referring to a d-dominant?” I stammer, unable to meet his eyes. My throat feels as dry as kindling.”

“Yes, now tell me about what you’ve read.” Still no expression. Is he trying to torture me? I’m sure my face is fire-engine red by this point.”

Welcome to the Yukon
A Land of wild beasts
and wilder men.

Praise Jesus for that!

Violet, a researcher who has been blessed with the opportunity to study wolves in the Canadian Yukon, is beyond excited. Apart from the wolves, Violet soon realizes there’s a lot more to be excited about that involves an animal of the human variety. Violet finds herself to be the object of affection for not one, but two very dominant and very determined men; Luke and Damon.

Luke is a logger and all rugged male. Upon their initial brief but interesting interaction, Violet senses there is something very different than she has ever encountered in any other man - Luke has a commanding demeanor that excites and unnerves her at the same time.

Damon, the surgeon is polished perfection. Any girl would be lucky to have him and he is safe, right? Just because he offers financial stability doesn’t mean he is the right man for her.

I loved CLAIMED IN CANADA. It’s a sexy spin on the typical stories of Domination and submission that line the bookstore shelves these days. I am really looking forward to reading more of author Christine Edward’s work, hopefully in the near future.

(Christine, if you read this – Go Cougars! lol… College of Charleston is my Alma mater too!)

I was provide a copy of the book by the Author for an honest review.

WOW Smoking Hot, I just finish reading this book, and I love it, I have to say that I did take my time reading it, I did not wanted to finish it I wanted more, I love the characters and love how the book turn out to be, I have to say that this book made me mad sometime, but I love it from the first page to the last, I am gone keep this short since I don't want to give anything away.

The story begging with Violet, she is in Canadian Yukon, she is their on a research grant, she is studying wolves at first hand, while her and her partner Gabe are putting up the cameras, she hear noises coming near by, that's when she tell Gabe that she gone go and find out what's going on, when she get to the place that's when she meets Luke, Now Luke is a lodger and he took over his father company, when he saw Violet he knew that she was the one, after their encounter she goes out with the owner of the place that she I staying with, that's when she meet Damon, that night she notice Luke is at the same place as her, that was the night that she got intrigue on why the two man couldn't stand each other, now two days later and Violet got attack by a wolves, Luke found her and save her, he took her back to his place, and that was when she found out that Luke is a Dominant.

I love the way how Luke and Violet are with each other, I love it how Luke is such an Alpha male, and a dominant at the same time, love it how Violet always doing something to break his rule, just to get punish, I have to say that the sex scene are hot.

Now the one that got me mad and I couldn't stand him was Damon, I knew from the beginning of the story that I was not gone like him, and that he was weird and I was right all alone.

I really love and enjoy reading this book, Author Christine Edwards THANK YOU for this amazing characters and this awesome book love it.

From an early age, Violet has been enthralled by wolves. Now as a graduate student who has been given a research grant to study them in northern Canada. She is quite intelligent, a bit of a tree hugger, and super feisty. Because she was a ward of the state and in foster care, she has been self-reliant and independent. She must learn to trust others in order to survive her time in the Yukon.

Luke Benoit a second generation logger who runs what was his father’s business. He is tall, rugged, and non-conventionally handsome with a French accent to boot. He also is alpha male supreme who happens to be a dominant. He soon falls for the spirited woman he argued with in the woods, but will he get here?

This is a great page turner! While it’s technically a full length novel, it reads more like a novella. It’s pretty short, sweet, and to the point but filled with action and hot sex. Violet and Luke quickly fall into a Dominant/submissive relationship. I have a personal pet peeve when stories don’t outline the consent or limits, which this one skirts, but for some reason it doesn’t bother me like normal. Probably because the encounters while brief, are scintillating. I happen to be a huge fan of passages with spankings, orgasm denial, and uber male domination. There is also plenty of conflict out of the bedroom (or living room or hot tub…). The two main characters have an interesting connection. While he recognizes her natural submissiveness, she fails to give in easily and is constantly stubborn in her dealings with him and his ‘requests’. Overall, a pleasurable read in more than one way.

What a sexy adventure, in and out of bed! You can almost call this a love triangle, though the heroine, thank God, only sleeps with one man. As both men are total opposites, she had a hard time making up her mind if she was going to stick with Luke, the hunky alpha logger, or Damon, the polished alpha doctor. There's an undercurrent of mystery, and suspense through-out the story, and an unsolved disappearance of a woman connected to both Luke and Damon. They have history together, but let's just say, it's not a good one.

Both men want Violet, and while the doctor woos her with suave moves, patience and charm, Luke is all action, baby! She succumbs to his domineering nature, and expertise in cranking up her libido (I did, too, but in my mind). The sex between these two is scorching! I think at one point I actually had heart palpitations. My only gripe with this story is that Violet goes back and forth between the two men, and seems to want the man she's with at the moment, to the point you begin to feel frustrated, but don't worry. It all turns out good.

This is a well-written, sexy story and I couldn't put it down. I only stopped reading it when it was time to watch my grandchildren. I had like, three chapters to go and it killed me to have to stop. I would have read it straight through in one sitting. Christine Edwards is a new author to me and I'm looking forward to reading more of her books.

Claimed in Canada was an intriguing sort of read. It had so many fantastic things about it, yet part of it played too much to cliches and that took away a little from the overall plot. That aside, I am intrigued to read more from Christine Edwards, because this was quite a debut from this new author.

I found myself turned off some to some of the language used - take this as whatever it is, but I just can't get past when guys use terms like "little girl" towards heroines (or anyone for that matter). It just weirds me out, and there was a lot of that kind of talk. Once I got past that, everything was pretty much smooth sailing til the end.

The plot is packed with action. There really isn't a dull moment at all - one thing after the next snowballs into another and it was fantastic. The end accelerates to an all time high.

Violet is an intriguing character, but I actually found the other characters in the book to be more likable. Violet isn't the strongest of characters and plays the back and forth between two guys for a bit of the book, even though readers know which guy she will choose. Since she has essentially already chosen in her mind as well.
There were a few smaller hiccups with this one, but overall, I quite liked it a lot. There is an unique plot and a whole lot of steamy to go with it.

Claimed in Canada by Christine Edwards
4 out of 5 stars

Violet is in Canada to study wolves with three other students from college. She has long been fascinated with wolves and their habits. The students are spending three months in Canada to study the wolves. In two days’ time she meets Damon, he is the nephew of the owners of the inn where they are staying and Luke a second generation logger she meets in the woods.
While she feels attracted to both, Luke quickly becomes who she wants and Damon is not happy. Luke and Violet act on their attraction. Luke is a Dom and immediately recognizes Violet is a submissive. The sex between Luke and Violet is hot, he tests her as a new sub and she comes back for more. Damon continues to cause problems until his threat is eliminated.

I liked this book. It moved quickly. A novella, it had a plot and the story was complete. It wasn't all sex, there was some mystery and drama as well. Violet got on my nerves a bit as she wanted to be kind to Damon. To me it was obvious from the beginning he had psychological issues. It was also clear she belonged with Luke. I would recommend this book. I see myself reading others by this author.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I first picked up this book and was pleasantly surprised by Christine Edward's style of writing.

She pulled me right into the story, the love triangle of sorts, the danger and the mountains! Violet's tough determination to study the wolves and protect them is a strong pull on my own heart. Luke's almost overbearing commanding presence is almost stereotypical of a lumberjack (at least where I grew up). Damon's almost too smooth, hidden dangerous presence is captivating.

Luke and Damon have past history from growing up in the small town that is just boiling below the surface that starts to boil over when they both decide they must have Violet. I don't want to give too much away...read the book for conclusion...Who does Violet pick Luke or Damon? How many dangers does Violet have to face?

This stunning erotic thriller is a fast-paced jolt that will leave you breathless. From the opening intro in the wilds of the Yukon to the heart-racing climax, Christine Edwards has spun a tale of steamy sexuality amidst danger and deception.

As Erotica novels go, this one delivers immense passion. The real thrill of this novel is the pulsating story packed with adventure, twists and turns and character development that pulls you in.

The love triangle is stunning with the two alpha males, one rough and rugged, the other smooth and polished creating amazing chemistry with the driven and feisty heroine.

I love the author’s use of vivid descriptions throughout to perfectly frame this tale. I can’t wait for Christine Edwards’ next novel!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC from the author in exchange for my honest opinion.
I won't go into detail regarding the story-line as other reviewers have covered this but instead I will say what I liked about it.
The heroine Violet, was a strong character and very likeable ( no whining, wilting pansy here :) ). As for the hero Luke, he was all dominant male hotness and the secondary male love interest was a perfect foil.
This erotic thriller had plenty of action going on which sucked me in and made for an easy quick read.
I like Christine Edwards' writing style and I will definitely be looking out for more of her work in the future.
4 hot and pulsating stars!

Well i was all for calling this a bit of a love triangle until i decided i wanted to slice and dice Damons junk!

While studying wolves in Canada, Violet finds herself pursued by 2 alpha type men. Damon is the nephew of the couple who own the hotel/guest house where the researchers are staying. He is also a doctor who is there on a 3 weeks vacation. His aunt and uncle try to set them up during a night out.

Luke is a very different kinda alpha as he is a dominant. There is a hateful history between Luke and Damon and it seems Violet at first can not make up her mind as to which one she wants.

Just when ya think you know someone.....

An AWESOME read!! If you liked 50 Shades of Grey and Bared to you, you'll love this one! Christine Edwards writes an amazing, erotic love story. While doing research on wolves in Canada, Violet comes across two men. Instantly falling for her, she is now caught between two dominant men who yearn for her affection. She must choose which one satisfies her needs. This is such a page turner that I couldn't put it down! A great book to lose yourself in. This is a great BDSM story with a dark ending. LOVE! This is the first book I read by Christine Edwards. I was immediately drawn in by the beautiful and real Violet London, as well as the unbelievably animalistic, sexy Luke Benoit and the confident and sultry Damon Holden. Her description of the danger, not only in the Yukon wilderness, but in the sexual trysts as well, is truly captivating! I read this book in less than 24 hours! A tale raw and untamed to reflect the setting. Ripping with unbridled passion. Gymnastic feats bouncing all over the house. Juxtaposing intense tragedy and danger with primal desire. An orgasm of terrors and delights that encompass the human experience. The villain would gallow the very wanderers of the dark. The hero and heroine, roaring Olympians of love. The characters come alive as Edwards holds a mirror up to nature beautifully imagined.

Claimed in Canada had a little more to the plot than Naughty in Norway did, and a lot more sex (WIN). But the quick pace and fun banter was still there. The characters were realistic and interesting and the story sucks you in right from the beginning. There’s more of a BDSM element in this storyline and there are two appealing men for our heroine, Violet, to choose from. It’s another shorter read, but packed full of “action” and a HEA. Totally worth the read!

I enjoyed this thoroughly. Christine knows how to write her alpha males and how to weave suspense and intensity into her story. You we're constantly guessing who was the hero and who was the villain. A blend of romance and eroticism, this is a great read for any taste! I was expecting a straightforward romance with a little dom/sub action but found this to be the perfect mix of the two and definitely more steamy than expected! I am looking forward to her 4 other books!

Not a bad story, much heavier on the BDSM than I expected, not that that was a bad thing.

Jake was sexy as hell. Violet was a pain in the arse and made stupid choices. When things went bad I didn't feel for her as it was more a consequence of her actions.

There was a crime scene that didn't work for me. You can't throw a murder into a story without any kind of investigation. IMO.

This is a smart story with imperfect characters who make you curious because they are imperfect. Christine Edwards' writing draws you in and does not let go. You may not always warm to the characters - nor are you always meant to - but you will warm with them.
