Rate this book

A bargain set of three of Trisha Ashley’s bestselling romantic comedies.

In Wedding Tiers, cakemaker Josie runs a booming wedding business but her own love life is far from blossoming. It seems like it’s going to be always the cakemaker, never the bride until charming photographer Noah arrives on the scene…

Sowing Secrets tells the story of Fran, who seems to have it all with her lovely husband and cottage in the country. That is until ex-boyfriend Tom turns up and Fran’s perfect world is turned upside down.

Life is sweet for chocolate maker Chloe in Chocolate Wishes. That is until the new vicar Raffy arrives in the village; Chloe’s first love and the man who broke her heart…

I confess; cv19 confinement has led to me binge-reading Trisha Ashley's books, (haven't quite read them all yet). The stories are almost believable and I miss the characters once a book is finished. I like the fact that in amongst the romance, there is fascinating information. Best of all, my name saint appears in Sowing Secrets and just for once, there is nothing to indicate that she is a mean witch who goes around changing into different creatures and eating her enemies. No spoilers - why be a party-pooper?

Could not finish reading. Sadly did not make it through the first book -- the next two might have been fine. Too paint-by-numbers and I found it hard to care about the characters. A little too much "telling" and not enough "showing" perhaps.

Predictable

Yes, these books are always predictable, but I do enjoy them. The characters in these books are very unique and each quite interesting. Although you might find some characters from other books by the author, each book stands on it's own. Light romantic comedies.

Anew author for me but one i will read more from. The three books had engaging characters in each, you get to know them and by the end of the book/s you feel as though you have been with them. Great books to settle down with a cake and a cuppa or snuggled up nice and cosy.

Lockdown period has given me time to start reading some of the many books on my e-book reader.
I have enjoyed this trio of engaging stories and their quaint, quirky characters. I feel I should get my hands on some elderflower champagne!

This should also be showing as three books, not two, on my 2020 Reading Challenge :-D

I enjoyed books 1 and 3 but really couldn't get into book 2 - I skipped to the end in that one. Loved the other two.
