A beneficial read.

I have considered using back focus for quite a while. It was only after reading this book that I decided to give it a go.
I wouldn't use anything else anymore. Owning a Nikon camera the only downside was the Canon terminology.
Never the less, a great read.

While the book was shorter than I expected it did provide some useful tips for taking sharper photos. Some things are so obvious but you just don't make the connection until you see them in print. Shutter speed for instance, I've always kept in mind that the minimum shutter speed for hand held photos really should be 1/40 or so but I didn't connect this with fuzziness in pictures of my 4 year old daughter until this book suggested a minimum shutter speed of 1/100 to freeze her quick jittery movements. Back button focus was a completely new idea to me that seems like a good practice as well.

I would have liked this book to go over the basics of fine tuning the autofocus of your lenses which I came across after finishing this book. Also note that this book is written for users of Canon DSLRs so it does take a little effort to translate if you shoot Nikon.
