Beautiful enough to be an impressive coffee table book, this book is also a well written ode to polar bears. The author spent several years researching the bears on Wrangle and Herald islands. His images and text are carefully designed to flow seamlessly through the life cycle of the bears he studied and lived beside. He knows them intimately enough name them. His love and respect for the animals clearly guided his research and dedication.
