A nostalgic trip back into the eighties and nineties, this romance sees Sam Potter, an ordinary girl from and ordinary seaside town, look back into her past. As she tries to forget about her old (toxic) relationships, her lovely, safe, new husband and steady, but boring new job, begin to stress her out. All her old glamorous school friends have moved on to pastures new, but where is she? Still living in the same grotty town she grew up in with her clingy mother just around the corner where a trip to Sainsbury's is a fun day out. But then an old friend comes knocking...what does she do? Leave the door to past firmly closed, or does she decide to open it?
More enjoyable than I first thought it was going to be. I got into the tale of deception and missed opportunities as it progressed. There was some light humour and I enjoyed the song references, though I didn´t know all the earlier ones. I thought the ending was a bit sudden and rather weak, if tidy.
