The wind blows Itsy Bitsy Spider through a day of adventure among various farm animals and readers can trace his glittery trail as he's blown from animal to animal, and finally, to his mommy's web.
A sweet fun spin on the popular rhyme. If you manage a sing-song voice to go with it, your young audience is in for a fun reading! :D We certainly enjoyed it!
Incy Wincy Spider This book is about a spider that was blown out a window of a barn. It drifts through the wind from one animal to another. The book is very colorful and it introduces animals noises. Children are able to follow the spider web by tracing the glitter path.
A delightfully silly retelling of a classic nursery rhyme of Itsy's journey back to Momma Spider's web... It's still easily sung to the well known tune with opportunities for silly voices and sound effects. We have fun reading this one together.
A great children's book with good illustrations. The book is writing in a rhyming manner. A spider gets blown out of a window and along his way back home he encounters many friends. It's a good book to explain the different sounds that animals make.
The Itsy Bitsy Spider book takes a new twist on the song. The illustrator really nailed how to keep the attention of the children with the glitter line following where the spider goes. This book talks about different animals and what they say and sound like. My only negative is that it says a black and white cow however the cow is painted with blue spots not black. This is one of my favorite books and a great vocabulary building book.
Learning Experience: *Have animals printed and laminated on popsicle sticks ready for the story* As the story is being read, the children would hold up their animal and the class would make the sound and interact while the story is being read.
The book is about a young spider that gets blown out of an open window whilst playing high up in a barn. He ends up being blown unto one animal to another until he is eventually blown back to his mother’s web.
The sentences are written in a rhyming manner, and the book contains lots of visuals. I personally don’t like the book as in contains many words that some children may find difficult (e.g. catapulted, gust, clumps etc). Obviously, one can pre-teach these words beforehand. I guess this book is excellent for more able 3-5 year old. This book would be good for independent reading and to have it on the class bookshelf.
This is an Itsy Bitsy Spider on the farm. The story goes through different farm animals as the spider lands on each, with each animal sound given as they each expell the spider from being near them. It's a cute rhyming story with the spider ending up at home in its web. Good for storytime, getting the kids to guess what sound the animal will make. Pictures are also bright and colorful.
Colorful pictures for kids to look at. Repetitive story line, but has cute illustrstions. This story is about a spider who gets tangled up with every friend he encounters. This book has other animals which allows kids to figure out what sound they make.
This version has a sparkly thread going through the book and pages are very sturdy The wind blows Itsy Bitsy Spider to a day of adventure among various farm animals.
Not the song "Itsy Bitsy Spider." Baby spider gets blown out the window and moves through the barnyard animals until finally landing on mom's web. Cool sparkly effects for web.
New twist on the classic itsy bitsy spider. This book is repetitive and allows students to see the pictures of different animals. Very colorful fun illustrations.
This book is a teensy bit long for lapsit, but it still works because they can do the animal noises. And the adults love the end when he ends up back with mommy.
