I like Rogue Trooper, I like the comic books and the video game. But this book was merely ok. It read too much like a book for young teens. It's supposed to be a war zone of the future, why replace good old fashioned curse words with made up ones?

Decent novelisation of a classic 2000 AD story

Rogue Trooper was always one my favourite 2000 AD characters back in the 80s. Reading this novelisation of the Quartz Zone combines several classic strips together as Rogue and his biochip buddies go on their revenge quest to find the treacherous Souther general who sold out the GIs.

While all the familiar characters are included, and given some extra action and airtime (Venus!) the inclusion of the story arc of a cowardly Nort deserter sworn to kill Rogue makes for a satisfying addition.

Generally well written and enjoyable, I could see the artwork in my mind's eye as the action unfolded. Will definitely look up others in this series.

You've bought the comics, you've played them games, instead the (rather excellent) book.
Imagine the game as a synopsis. This book fills the gaps and adds some depth to the gened one

Enjoyable

Doesn't quite fit with the comic book version of Sister Sledge but the difference is minor. As a Rogue Trooper fan, I can recommend this book. I'd rate it as good but not great.

Great read!!!
Fills out the Rogue character far more than the mag ever did.
He has the same hopes and fears as a normal human even though he isn't one.
Brill battle descriptions and good detailed world building.
