Did you know the ministry that Jesus has in heaven at this moment is intercession? Jesus is an intercessor, and all believers are invited to share this high calling in Christ. In Prayer: Why Our Words to God Matter, Corey Russell invites you to embrace this identity in a fresh way, showing us from the Bible, from history, and from what God is doing around the world today that our conversation with God really does matter. Corey’s unique perspective teaches us about the dynamic relationship we have with God in prayer. Let this teaching help you on your prayer journey, a journey that if embraced will change your world forever.

This book was suggested by my pastor. The title and part that he read was what drew me in, but the content was more than I ever expected. Great book. Will be reading this a few more times.
I loved this book. if you want to be inspired to.live a life of prayer -- and we all should -- read this book.
The book is well written, grounded in the Word and relevant to our daily lives. Prayer/intercession isn't for those who tested high in this category on a gift test. it is the call of every believer. Russell inspires us to take up this high calling with his own life experience as well as providing a solid Biblical foundation.
Oof. A Christian must-read. Prayer is a necessary aspect of every Christian life. This books introduces a lot of ideas that should be considered when read. It also goes into account of different characters within the bible and analyses their prayer life so that readers may have an example to follow.
This book is rousing about the prayer. Corey explains why were some people in the Bible very effective in their life and how can our prayers be deeper.
Edward Bounds once said the lesson of prayer is so lowly only God can teach it. I believe that only through engaging with God in prayer can one truly learn to pray, nevertheless these fresh pages from Corey Russell offer the reader much inspiration. I love the snippets included about the lives of past intercessors... Brainerd, Nash and Bartleman. And Russell's concluding exhortation to fast.
