This first Kimani Romance by Candace Shaw was great. I fell love with the story and characters. You should never judge a book by its cover. Steven proved that.

Superficial
This book was superficial and predictable. Same ole story lines with characters jumping to conclusions to quickly. Author spent more time describing the outfits then developing her characters.

Great start to a new family series. Loved Megan and Steven's story. Megan had trust issues, but after a while she overcame them with the help of her family and friends. A very sweet HEA. Looking forward to more of the Chase family.

They were each other's perfect candidate!
Megan had her heart broken by a boyfriend that did not deserve her. He proved that fact by stringing her along for four years while he carried on an affair behind her back with a nurse in his practice. So naturally when she met the make your mouth water georgous man with a deep dimple, she fought against a real relationship tooth and nail until she found she could not run from the extremely handsome Steven a state senator poised to run for the seat his father was vacating. Sometimes we women do some really vicious and unnecessary things to the next woman in our ex's life even when we no longer want the man in question. Thankfully Megan did not allow his ex wife's antics to keep them apart. Now Senator Steven Munroe and Megan Chase Munroe are embarking on their happily ever after! I truly enjoyed this story!!!!

Steven helped Megan change a flat tire and was instantly captivated by her. The feeling was mutual. Later that night they end up at the same fundraiser. Soon they are fake dating to help his image as he sets out to run for US Senator. Somewhere along the line, feelings get involved and fake dating turns to real dating. But the spotlight proves to be a bit too much for Megan.
This was a good book. Definitely interested in continuing the series.

This book has been on my TBR list for a while. I finally got a chance to read it. I really liked it alot. There were placing in the story where the heroine did things that in real life would be a definite no go but all in all I did enjoy the book. If you need something to read during your commute or while you're on vacation, pick this up.

Just Perfect!
This story was just perfect to me. There was a unique meet cute. An unforgettable chemistry that created a great journey for two souls that want to feel needed, wanted, fulfilled and most of all loved. Don't forget there will be bumps along the way but the recovery is amazing, especially when love prevails. Great Read! ReneeG 👍

Hot Hot Hot
Steven and Megan’s chemistry kept me rooted to my seat in order to finish this book in a few hours. I was truly a good read. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.

This book is a tad predictable, but in saying that it delivers what you want from the story. I would definitely recommend this for people, who love the black love, politics, and fake dating tropes. But I wouldn't go into it expecting something new from the genre. A tried and true read.

The Senator and The Interior Designer, can these two move beyond the pretend stage to a permanent stage?
Senator Steven Monroe is holds the senate seat of Georgia. His father who is a US Senator is set to retire and want his son to run for his seat. Steven is a ladies man and is not interested in settling down at all but his playboy persona may hurt his chances of winning. He admits he has to take his image more seriously but still has no intentions of settling down. Not until he rescues a damsel in distress by changing her flat tire and realizes his heart is beating irregularly.
Megan Chase interior decorator and business owner is on her way home to get ready for a function but now has a flat tire, she manages to pull over to the side of the road so she can access the problem and once she realizes her tire is flat, she sets off to changing it herself. But this gentleman has pulled up behind her and offered to change it for her and insists she sit in his car while he takes care of it. Megan's heart also is beating irregularly but she tries to chalk it up to not being in a relationship for a long time. Megan says he looks familiar but can't place his face, after she thanks him for a split moment time stands still for the both of them but then they part ways.
Steven and Megan meet again at the same function that she was rushing home to get ready for. Their attraction is instant and when her sister tells her who he is, although Megan is attracted to him she doesn't want any drama. She is quite happy with her life as an Interior Designer and business owner, it is quiet and pleasant and she feels any dealings with the Senator will upend her life. Steven on the other hand can't believe his luck, the woman with the flat tire is here and he intends to have her but she then slips through his fingers. Only to be confronted with them being plastered on the front page news as Senator Steven's newest conquest. After things have been cleared up with the media, Steven's brother and campaign manager feels that in order for his playboy image to finally be put to rest, he need to pretend to settle down with one woman. They had already performed a background check on Megan and she would be the perfect candidate for him.
Steven isn't keen on the idea and lets his brother and campaign manager know it but he will speak with Megan about it. Steven approaches Megan with the idea of a pretend relationship, where not only would it improve his image but it would boost her business tremendously. She agrees to help him because she believes in him as a Senator but it must remain non-sexual. This is where the fun begins for these two. The secondary characters were very well fleshed out, they played important roles in this story and it was nice to read about them too.
I liked Megan, she is beautiful, funny, witty, smart and a business owner. She got on my nerves a little bit but then she got it together. Steven is smart, sexy, humble and slightly arrogant. These two together were such a joy to read about and the story was excellent. This is my first book by this author and it will not be my last.

I realize that Steven rescued Megan when she needed him the most. But she more than repaid him by supporting his fund raising and attending his galas but putting up with his sleazy ex-wife's disrespectful antics was a bit too much for me. I realize he's a politician but appearing with his ex-wife after stating he wouldn't seemed a little deceitful to me. Also the ending seemed rushed as well.

Once again Candace Shaw as brought an excellent read for her readers to dig into. In this book we are introduced to the sassy Ms Megan Chase and the sinfully hott and sexy Steven Monroe. The two first meet when Megan is stranded on the side of the road with a flat tire. Not thinking there paths will ever cross again they ended up at the same event that very same evening. Steven is running for U.S Senate and needs to clean up his playboy image and in his mind Megan is the perfect women to help him with the deed. Now being that Megan does not like attention this is going to be a very difficult challenge for Steven to do. The chemistry between the two is simply amazing and the story line is on point front beginning to end. This is a very sexy and classy book and I recommend all to go and download your copy ASAP!!! Nicely done Candace and I look forward to reading your need book.

Candace Shaw did an awesome job writing "Her Perfect Candidate". Playboys are hard to tame until they meet their match. In this love story, Senator Steven Monroe does exactly that when he meets Interior Designer, Megan Chase. Even though I am not a fan of the playboy type, I found myself secretly rooting for him to clean up his image so that he can once and for all settle down with his true love. What I dislike even than a player is a conniving female who wants to have her cake and eat it too! Excellent Love Story!

I was going to try to write this review without using the word “perfect” but I believe I’ll fail. The way Megan and Steven met was so adorable and I’d have to say perfect. From the beginning Steven was this awesome man that I was rooting for, both in the political arena and in their romance. He was a politician with a heart. Megan was such an ambitious lovely woman that I wanted her to be happy.
Just enough drama, tears, laughter, and good lovin’ to make this novel a fast paced read.

Another good read from Candace Shaw! Loved Megan and Steven; their story was nicely done, without a lot of unnecessarily drawn out drama. I like that. The story had a nice bit of heat to it, too.
Great cast of characters in this one. I'm sure Sydney's story is next (is her love interest who I think it is? hmmm...), but I'm hoping that the other friends get stories too.

Cute Story!!!
The book was a page turner I really interested in how the relationship would develop and liked the characters, she was supportive and he was romantic. My only complaint was I was hoping to receive more details about why the ex wife wanted to cause trouble.
If you want light and a cute love story then you should read this book.

Excellent
This was truly a excellent love story. I really enjoyed Megan and Steven's story. I hope we will be able to read more about Sydney and Bryce to find out if they will make a love connection. This was the first book I have by this author but it will not be my last. JUST one word to some up this book and that is excellent!

Ms. Candace Shaw does it again, what a great read. It had a different twist that I wasn't expecting and of course I love the characters. Megan, such a lady. Veronica, got on my nerves, but Megan handled her and the situation with class. I couldn't believe they broke up, but I guess it had to happen for the outcome. Great job as always Ms. Shaw!

I enjoyed Steven Monroe and Rome Megan Chase's story. You can't help but fall in love with this couple. Ms. Shaw has done a good job of building the characters, warts and all, taking us through their challenges and giving them their HEA.

Good Read
This was a good book that showed how two people had an instant connection. I wasn't a fan of how long it took Megan to realize that he was seriously interested. She kind of came across as a little childish. I can't wait for the next book.

I don't know what took me so long to read this book. I am not a big fan of politics so I will say that is what took me so long. I was wrong. This book was wonderful. The romance was real even at the beginning. I think I could be a Senator's wife. :)

Don't let the title fool you..
I have really become a fan of Can dance Shaw. She didn't disappoint w/Her Perfect Candidate. It was very detail & the hot romance begins at the beginning. My ONLY issue is
