I’d give this 3.5-3.75 stars. This was definitely ghost porn. 👻 No slow burns here! That said, I’ll definitely be continuing on to the next duet for Maureen’s story. 😏
90% spice, 10% plot. If you’re into that, then this is the book for you.
*spoilers ahead*
I’m usually not a fan of books like this. I like to have an equal ratio of spice and plot. But the plot was decent enough to stick around and see what it’s all about. The “twist” was pretty unexpected but a bit confusing.

I felt like I was reading a smut filled season of Riverdale. If that’s sounds like fun to you, give this one a go. I read it in a day and though it was dark, it was fun. Would be a good one for a rainy Saturday in October when you want to feel a little spicy.
Full transparency: I don’t really think RHs are for me so I think that made these novellas hard for me to get through.
There’s a lot of smut in these novellas. It’s basically an erotica! So if that’s not really what you’re looking for, read something else and come back when you are!
The first one was pretty rough for me to get through, but the second novella was much better. There was more plot in the second half and that’s exactly what I wanted and needed.
The FMC is a bit annoying for me and I struggled to connect with her. But I loved her best friend, Maureen.
The MMCs are all different and bring a needed piece to the harem. My favorite is definitely the man we meet in the second novella.
I’m SUPER excited for Maureen’s story!! She was my favorite character the whole two novellas.
Favorite Quotes: “Well, maybe I want in on some ghost dick too, Bales. Ever consider that?”
“This is the fucking nightmare you’ve dreamed about.”
“That’s not going to fucking happen. No one hurts our little fox but us.”
“There can only be one psycho in this house and that motherfucker is me.”
This book was just okay, it was definitely 75% Smutt with some plot thrown in for a bit of razzle dazzle. The characters were decent, I just wish the spice and plot were a bit more balanced, but the plot that was there was decent, and holy guacamole I wasn’t expecting that bit of a twist there towards the second half. While I love my spice, I actually wish there was a bit less, and a lot of the dialogue in the scenes were repetitive. Almost wish I had a physical copy so I could tab every time someone says the word “F*ck” and get a physical count 😅. It was decent, and have definitely read worse, would recommend if you are looking for something that is more spice driven than plot driven.
This book is top 5 of the hottest books I have ever read. You know that feeling at the bottom of your abdomen and around your bladder when you are being edged beyond being able to handle it and need a release so bad???? That is how this book made me feel.
I do wish a few details of the storyline was changed a bit, but some things were different, but other than that, I loved the concept of these books.
I do highly recommend this book and will honestly be reading everything this author writes.
Kink triggers and others
Extremely hot
Ghosts (MMC) involved with human (MFC)
Highly Recommend
Bailey - MFC
Has secrets that even SHE doesn't even know about (ponder that).
Poe - MMC
Grim - MMC
Saint - MMC
Raine - MMC - Introduced in book 2. New guy to add to harem AND he is also a ghost and pretty psycho. Covered in tattoos.
Bailey was dared by a friend to go into an infamous haunted house located in their town. The legend said that 3 guys were killed and locked in a room within the house. On Halloween Eve, the veil between the dead and the living drops and 3 three angry spirits in the house demand to be set free. If someone dared to release them from the locked room, they would be stuck with the three spirits until they gave the spirits what they wanted.
Bailey had a fascination with haunted houses and everything creepy. Bailey and her friend went over to the house and Bailey began the dare. She found the room and upon trying to open the door, something slammed into her and broke her through the door. She didn't see anyone but she felt them. She snapped a quick picture that she had made it through the door and ran outside to meet her friend, showing her that she had completed the Dare.
On the way home, Bailey decided that she was not feeling the best, as unease fell over her, and the sliver that someone or something was watching her was hard to shake. She took a shower, got into bed, and was jolted by a figure darting across her room. Dragged out of bed and to her living room, she was met with the other 2 spirits. They informed her that since she freed them, they were owed their favors and could not move on until they were collected.
The book goes on with push and pull from all the main characters. The favor they wanted....? Well, this book is pretty much porn with a book cover, so what do you think it was?
Bailey does free them but also falls in lust with them all as they do the same with her. The book ends with her buying the old house, fixing it up, and living with her 3 spirits.

Little Fox
This book goes on with Bailey's life with the guys. She does sense some unease in the house since she's been there. Trying to figure out why she feels the way she does, she starts looking into the previous owners while also obsessing over the details around her parent's death and the fire that took them when she was a child.
The longer she lives in the house, the more she picks up on another spirit, as he starts to make himself well-known. The two previous owners of her newly renovated house were married. The wife killed the husband and his spirit laid in shadows amongst the house. He had a fascination with, Bailey and was the one who helped her break through the door in Book 1.
Throughout the story, you see the new spirit, Raine, state his dominance and lust over Bailey. Bailey decides to have a girl's night with her best friend Maureen. During this girl's night, she is held hostage by her ex, Chad, and his best friend, Billy. The girls finally escape and run back to Bailey's home. Maureen finally gets to meet the ghost men who have held all of Bailey's attention and the girls explain what happened. Raine decided that this was a good time to let everyone in on a bit of information he's been holding.......

Bailey is actually dead. A spirit that roams in the normal world because she does not realize that she is no longer alive.
About 2 years before, there was a party at the house Bailey and the guys live at. She remembers the party and she remembers a fire. What she hadn't remembered until that moment was that she had been pushed down the stairs by her ex's best friend and had died. She didn't realize she wasn't alive until Raine jogged her memory.
The book goes on with the foursome now becoming a fivesome. Now that she knows Billy has tried to kill her before (and succeeded), Billy and Chad were threats that had to be taken care of.
The group decides to throw a Halloween party to lure them in. As expected, they both show up. Bailey lures Billy upstairs and she and the guys take care of him. Chad is dragged up there next and Maureen walks in as Billy is being killed. Maureen takes it upon herself to be the one to end Chad (this part is important if you read Maureen's story next, which you should).
Life goes on, Maureen goes off to college and Bailey stays with her guys.

Good Girl (book 1): Meet Bailey, a young woman who got dared on Halloween Eve to go into the haunted house known as Wickford Hollow. Little did she know that her life was about to change. After going into the old house she decided not to go to the her and her friend Marueen was invited to. She goes home to relax, or at least she thought. She soon discovers that she is not alone, that the three spirts have followed her back home. They then show her what really happens when you go into the house on Halloween Eve.
My thoughts (book 1): this book is extremely spicy smutty novella and l absolutely ate the up. Extremely faced paced read. ____________________________________________________
Little Fox (book 2): This is the second book of the Wickford Hollow Duet and leaves off right where Good Girl ended. Fast forward a year since Bailey broke into Wickford Hollow on a dare on Halloween Eve, while unleashing three ghostly men that wants nothing in this world but her and her only. Life at her new home in Wickford Hollow Manson has been great, however, the citizens of Wickford Hollow town don’t feel the same. Most of all a young man named Billy, who is out to make Bailey’s life a living hell every chance he gets. Bailey soon discovers presence of maybe there are more than three ghostly men inside the house. Maybe the towns people are right, is Bailey insane, has she gone completely crazy or… is it something far more sinister than what Bailey realizes.
My thoughts: when I say charge those 🐝 toys I mean you better have those babies on full stand by while reading the second part of this duet cause oh my freaking goodness is this book smutty. Like hello f**king spice 🥵🥵. This book is extremely faced paced and super good.
👻🦊 3.5-STAR REVIEW: Wickford Hollow Duet by M. Violet 🦊👻
If you’re looking for a dark, paranormal why-choose romance with spice cranked up to maximum, the Wickford Hollow duet (Good Girl + Little Fox + bonus chapter) delivers exactly that.
What I Loved
The spice 🔥🔥🔥: No slow burn here, and honestly, I appreciated that. If you want ghosts and steam with no waiting around, this duet gives it to you.
The paranormal vibe 👻: I loved the haunting, ghostly element—it made the whole thing feel atmospheric and different from other dark romances.
Bailey + her wicked spirits 🦊: Bailey is daring, flawed, and relatable in her curiosity and impulsiveness. Her dynamic with Poe, Grim, and Saint is dark, twisted, and addictive.
What Didn’t Work As Well
At times, the plot felt like a lot was happening and not quite enough at the same time. The tension built beautifully, but I wanted more depth in certain areas—especially when it came to exploring the dangers of Wickford Hollow and Bailey’s battles outside the romance.
The town’s treatment of Bailey (crazy, mad, witch) had so much potential, but I found myself wishing it was fleshed out even more.
Overall
This duet is filthy, ghostly fun—perfect if you want a dark, erotic, paranormal escape with possessive anti-heroes and a heroine caught in their twisted web. It’s not light reading, and it definitely pushes boundaries, so check the trigger warnings before diving in.
3.5 stars ⭐⭐⭐✨ — a solid, spicy, paranormal ride that fans of dark RH will enjoy.
Good Girl by M Violet is a dark romance novella. This is the first book in the Wickford Hollow Duet.
This is the first book of M Violet's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I was pulled in from the very beginning and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Bailey, Poe, Grim, and Saint.
I can't wait to dive into the next book in the series Little Fox to get more of their story.
If you are looking for a fast-paced erotic story, then look no further.
==================================== Little Fox by M Violet is a dark gothic romance. This is the second book in the Wickford Hollow Duet.
This is the second book of M Violet's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I was pulled in from the very beginning and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Bailey, Poe, Grim, Saint, and Raine. I loved getting all of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I can't wait for Pretty Little Psycho to be released on October 18, 2023, so I can get Maureen, Riot, Atlas, and Valentin's story.
I would recommend this book if you like dark gothic romances, why choose romances, paranormal romances, or erotic romances.
============================ I read each book individually but was so excited when I saw the box set had a bonus chapter at the end to set up Maureen's book. I loved getting Riot's point of view.
This was a very dark and dirty gothic “romance”. The characters cared for Bailey, but it was a depraved love. She craved it and they were able to give her what she needed. Bailey goes into the haunted Wickford mansion on Halloween. She releases the ghosts trapped there and they follow her home. The first part of this duet was a very short novella about this night. We don’t really learn much else about the characters until the second part which is a much longer book. In the second part of the book, there’s love between the four of them and Bailey goes about her life. We find out about her being bullied her entire life and the loss of her parents but we never really figure out why everybody thinks she’s some sort of freak. I also don’t understand how the ghosts that can’t leave the house can always have clothing and an abundance of sex toys. And how did they get piercings and tattoos when they’ve been dead for over 100 years? Overall, a dark, mysterious story that still left questions unanswered.
Good Girl: Say what you want about romance books, dark, contemporary, fantasy, paranormal, or any kind. But it takes a GREAT author to be able to write a spicy, erotic, scene across multiple chapters and keep it original and interesting. Little Fox: When you have three different scenes in one chapter, they get boring. But when M Violet writes it, it's so much better! I don't think I've ever read such a chapter before where it was so good, original, and is classified as NSFW, one handed reading, or whatever you want to call it. What the guys do to Bailey is amazing, and written so well. Chapter 5, IYKYK! Ma'am! WTF did I just read!? I love how this changed and what he did! This book speaks to me! I want to be one of Bailey's ghosts! Chapter 15! I did see that coming, but I did not see THAT coming! I was on the edge of my set for the whole chapter, it was amazing! Chapter 21

I finished the Wickford Hollow duet by M Violet and I’m addicted. Her writing is what I love in dark smutty romance.
Book 1 is Good Girl and what a fabulous story. Is this book mainly smut? Yes it is. I have to say it is some of the hawtest, very descriptive, panty melting I’ve read. That being said the underlying story for me and the way it unravels is really good. I loved meeting each character and their dark morally black personalities. I mean I’m all for the unleashing of three sexy unholy ghostly men who wanna play in the most toxic depraved of ways. Dirty and dark with all the gothic unhinged vibes this novella packs a serious punch.
Book 2 Little Fox picks up right where we left off and does not let up on the gas. The fast pace keeps us going and the spice keeps on spicin. Bailey, Poe, Grim, Saint and Raine all have pov and I love it. It adds extra feels, angst and dynamic to the story. Definitely check the triggers. There are lots and you wanna make sure you will enjoy this read. If you like dark gothic paranormal erotic romance well the this duet is for you.
I overall enjoyed this book. It was probably the most spice I've ever read in a book to be honest. To the point where I craved more character development and more world building than spicy scenes. I was really very shocked by a plot twist at the 80% mark and for that, I give the book 3 stars instead of 2. There were alot of plot holes and I was sad because the potential was there for it to be a truly amazing book. If the book was longer and the spice scenes were a little more spaced out, I would have enjoyed it alot more! You can read this as a stand alone, or go on to read the next few books that focus on other characters from the story. I personally don't think I'll read them, because I really struggled to not put this book down. Which surprised me because normally I'm wanting more spice.
This is a duet and it follows a girl named Bailey. She’s a rich girl whose parents died and left her with a fortune. Her best friend Maureen is her only friend. She is considered a freak in her town of Wickford Hollow. There’s a haunted house in town and there are rumors of what happened in that house. So, it’s Halloween Eve and Maureen dates her to go to the haunted house and open every door. One door is locked, but she’s pushed into it and the door breaks. Later that night, she is attacked by 3 men. Although attacked may not be the correct word because she gives her consent…eventually. There are lots of triggers in this duet. So, I suggest you read them and decide if it’s something you can handle. I enjoyed it!
I gave this three stars because I finished it. If you are looking for a story that is high on sm*t and lower on plot, you’ll enjoy this. I know there is a large population that navigates to this type of story.
Personally, I need more of a story to go along with everything else that gets written between the pages, but that is MY preference.
This does end with an HEA for the characters involved and provides a chapter that leads into the next story involving one of the side characters from this one.
Too much smut…. Blasphemous I know!! The spicy scenes were sooooo abundant in such a short book, literally every couple pages, and also very redundant. Most of them had no bearing on the story or character development. The first novella is very short and almost made me dnf. The second is better ONLY because you finally get some plot.
If I could bottle up the second half of the second book and have a book all like that everything would be peachy. Sadly, as soon as the book got good with plot, it didn’t last long and boom the story was over.
Hold on to your pearls ladies! No hold barred. Nothing cute about it. It is all the viewer discretion, all the triggers, all the omg they did what’s you could think of. And with no amount of shame I ate this up! It is VERY DESCRIPTIVE in its content. And I clutched my pearls multiple times. Had to stop reading a few times. I thought I stepped into a late night Cinemax movie. Felt like I was sneaking to watch the action and it happens pretty often. Like a lot! What is wrong with me!!!
If I have to read the words "vile and depraved" one more time... The writing was very repetitive, which took away from my enjoyment. The sex scenes were obviously the main focus of the book, but I don't think they were good enough to get me to overlook the poor characterization. RH is tricky, especially when you have four unique men to write about. This book just fell flat for me because the men were just too similar and one-dimensional, and the heroine was kind of annoying.
Absolutely loved the first book the chemistry between Bailey and her men, Poe, Grim and Saint was absolutely phenomenal. However the second book fell a short for me as the addition of a new character completely changed the dynamic of the book and the chemistry between the characters but not in a good way. It does have a twist but was predictable for me. If you’re looking for a book that has very little plot and a whole lot of smut I would give it a try.
Wow wow wow ... Perfect read for the spooky season. I read this before the release of her next book and I'm so glad I did because it really set the world and let me know the characters.
Contains ⚔️ which I’m not a fan of but the men in this book… *chefs kiss*
I don’t understand her being a ghost and people being able to see her and stuff. The “epilogue” wasn’t an epilogue is was basically a preface for the new book.

4.5 ⭐️ for sure !!! i loved every minute of it! definitely a couple parts that made me feel a little uncomfortable but i still loved it! such a good story !! if you love spicy and ghosts this book is for you !!!
This is the first series I've read by this author. I really think it's one of the best stories I've come across in ages. I’m super excited to dive into Maureen's story. I’ve discovered an amazing author to keep an eye on. It's dark, gritty, intense, and dirty—every naughty fantasy you can imagine.
This was interesting to say the least. Reading the duet version, I'm rating it 3/5 stars. It was good overall, but I preferred the second book where there was more plot and action versus 99 percent spice. The plot twist was certainly something.
Interesting take for a ghost story with a wicked twist. Definitely a spicy why choose. I only gave it 3 stars because of all the point of views, I lost the story sometimes. A solid pnr read.
