Rate this book
Genre: Steamy Contemporary Romance
Estimated - 250 Pages

With his professional football career over due to a tragic accident, billionaire Kade Harrison takes on the task of solving a mystery for his brother-in-law and friend, Max Hamilton. Without his former career to fill every minute of the day, Kade's looking for something to challenge him--now that he's lost the career that had meant everything to him. But what starts out as a simple favor soon becomes a whole lot more than he bargained for when the woman he's seeking slips away from him every time he gets close to finding her. When Kade does finally corner her, things start to get even more complicated. Asha Paritala is nothing like he expected, and the female he had tracked down as a favor for Max soon becomes a woman he wants for his very own, a woman who makes protective and highly predatory instincts he didn't know he had flare to life inside him. Kade soon discovers that he wants Asha's total surrender to the desire and passion that vibrates intensely between the two of them, but he also wants her trust, the one thing Asha's history makes it difficult for her to give. Can Kade convince her that some things are worth risking it all?

Caught between two worlds, Asha Paritala is homeless, broke and damaged from a life of abuse and neglect. Born of an American mother and an Indian immigrant father, Asha was raised as an Indian woman by a foster family after the death of her natural parents when she was little more than a baby. She's spent her entire life under the control of others until finally breaking free two years earlier, and she's determined to keep her freedom, even if it means she has to struggle to survive. But when she meets Kade Harrison, her resolve is tested. After Kade helps her through a bad situation, she finds herself beginning to trust Kade as she's never trusted a man before. Kade is everything she always thought a man should be, but can she lose herself in him completely when she knows she's damaged and confused. And is it really possible that she could be a lost sibling to two people like Max Hamilton and Maddie Hudson? Asha is tempted by the possibility of family, and the irresistible lure of a man like Kade Harrison. Can a woman caught between two cultures, so flawed and so backward, really reach out and take what she wants, or will the instinct to run from the pain of her past destroy the hope of happiness for her future?

Find out if two broken souls can heal each other in The Billionaire's Game!!

This is a complete novel with no cliffhangers. 18+ due to sexual situations and graphic language.

Let me start this off with 2 things first I am a huge fan of this author and second I give very few 5 star reviews. This book comes from the billionaire's obsession series. If you have not read this series buy the whole thing immediately. When Jan first started this series I thought that no one could ever top Simon. I have been proven wrong, Kade may not completely bet Simon but he defiantly rivals him. In this book we meet Kade and Asha. Kade is Mia's brother that we met in the Billionaire's Salvation book and also a good friend of Sam's who we meet in all the billionaire obsession books. Asha is a new character at the end of Billionaire's Salvation Max makes the comment that he thinks there might be more siblings out there come to find out they think that they might have found on in Asha. Convincing Asha isn't as easy as convincing Maddie that this might be a possibility though. Asha's life was rough growing up and even worse once she had gotten married. She has only been divorce for a couple of years and to her it is a bit overwhelming when a Billionaire is searching for you and using another one a your hunter. Kade is the perfect blend of Alpha Male, insecure male, and sensitive male all wrapped into one bundle and Asha isn't sure she can resist this. This book is amazing and brings to light many sensitive issues not only in America but in foreign countries as well. I would recommend this book and all of these books to anyone and everyone.

Wow Kade was just perfect. I love when the hero instantly knows what he wants. Asha had a brutal and tragic past. I loved seeing her come back to who she really was. I did get frustrated with her at times but Kade showed the man he was by how he let her break out of the cocoon she had around her and start being free again. These two had passion that was so hot and was sweet and even funny at times. This author just knows how to give me awesome heroes and I'm hooked.

I have read all of the books in The Billionaire's Obsession series, and I cannot decide which one is my favorite. I have loved them all, and each one is unique. The men are all sexy, hot, generous, and very protective and possessive of their women, The women are all smart, sassy, loving, and sometimes overwhelmed by their over the top men. This was the story of Kade and Asha. Kade is a well known football hero, who gets in an accident and considers himself less of a man now. A man who is not sure what to do with himself. Asha's mother was American, but her father was an Indian immigrant. She ends up in a foster family, that raises her as Indian, and to say they mistreat her is an understatement. With time on his hands, Kade sets out to find Asha, for Max, his brother in law, and Max's sister Maddie, who has reason to believe she is their half-sister. Kade, is doomed from the time he meets Asha, but it is hard for her to believe that she does have family, and that her way of life as she has known it, may not be the only way. Will Asha be strong enough to overcome her past? Will these two damaged souls, find their way, together? This book deals with sensitive and serious issues on a global basis. I loved the way, J.S. Scott, had the characters from the other books, make an appearance in this book, and I anxiously await the next book, hopefully it will be about Travis, I can already tell he has quite a story to be told.

Another great read in the Billionaire Obsession series! This is the story of Kade and Asha! Kade sets out to help Max and Maddie find another sibling....Asha. Asha is part American and Indian and has lived a brutal life of abuse --from being her foster family servant, being sold to become a wife and beaten becasue she was unable to become pregnant. There is an instant attraction between Kade and Asha -- they become best friends, lovers, soulmates. It's a great story of both growing from the past and finding a future together. Love how all the series characters are part of the book! Can't wait for the next installment....Travis! Let's hope we get something from Tate too!

Perfect!

I have read all of JS Scott's Billionaire books and I have loved each and every one. Each unique in their own way but that is what made the story. This books blows each one of the previous books out of the water! and no I'm not joking. JS steps it up in this book with Kade and Asha.

Asha is a woman of America and Indian decent. Damaged by her foster family and brutalized by her husband as customs dictate. All Asha wants to do is survive.

Kade is a billionaire former football star with a father that put the dysfunctional in family. He career was robbed from him when he was hit by a drunk driver and his college sweet heart was nice enough to dump him in the ICU. He didn't feel he was worthy of love because of his past and his now bad leg.

Max and Maddie have another sibling out here that needs to be found but will she want to be found? When Kade closes in on Asha she bests him at every turn until he finally closes in. He wasn't sure what to expect but it wasn't the drop dead gorgeous woman who made his heart beat with love for the first time in his life.
Can they heal each other's pain and learn to move on from the pain that has filled their lives? Can they overcome cultural differences and be what one another needs?

This was an amazing book that took a look at serious issues on a global scale. I laughed and I cried and it was awesome. OMG!! The scenes between Kade and Asha!! SMOKING HOT!! I can't wait for Travis's story!!

this story is true and dear to my heart. A novel that not only contains a hot steamy romance. But it also sets a platform of inter- racial romance between Asha and Kade Harrison. It gives an in deep view of the excruciating morals and habits that are and still present and practicing for an East Indian girl in the household. And only when we are introduced to a different culture that we find a little more freedom and an alternative avenue of true happiness.
My Mom loves the book and she commented , "Oh Kenneth,(referring to deceased father) the Author made this book just for us.)" Lol.
And that made this book extra Wonderful !!!

Kade Harrison's football career ended abruptly when his leg was badly damaged in tragic accident. Now he is on a search to find Asha Paritala who might very well be Max Hamilton and Maddie Hudson's sister. It's a challenge for him because she keeps escaping his grasps, they are playing cat and mouse.
Asha Paritala is a damaged, broke, homeless woman who escaped a lifetime of abuse from her ex-husband and neglect from her foster family. She is caught between two worlds, that of her Indian heritage that her foster family raised her as and that of her American heritage that she knows nothing about.
Kade is doing this a simple favor for Max but when he does finally corner her, it turns into so much more for him. He wants her for his very own, his woman.
Asha is wary and doubtful when Kade tells her she has siblings, she doesn't believe it and doesn't want to hope for family and then have it coming crashing down when it isn't true.
Kade's protective instincts come out full force when he meets her and then when he hears her painful past.
Asha is determined to keep her freedom even though she has to struggle to survive but she will do it. Kade helps Asha gain her feet more firmly, and begins to trust him.
Both Asha and Kade are damaged from their past, and together they help each other heal.
But also together they begin a brighter and better future together neither thought possible for them.

I was blown away with The Billionaire's Game. I was captivated from beginning to end. So many emotions rolling through, that I couldn't help but cry at the heartbreaking moments and smile at the happiest moments. I love this series, and I look forward to Travis' book.

I LOVE KADE. THIS STORY IS LIKE A SUGAR OVERLOAD! Despite having a love at first sight thing going on for all of the series, it just works and they have all managed to keep my attention even in all its sappy, cheesy glory.

I love the story of Asha and Kade! The both of them have their flaws and feel damaged because of what they have been through. Through their relationship, they begin the process of healing and showing each other that they are perfect and worthy of their love, flaws and all. The steam is also very hot and very yummy. One odd thing was the lack of "evidence" from her 7 years abusive relationship, like you would expected to be more jumpy and flinch quite a bit while being around an alpha male.

"I'm fine here," she answered, relieved that she wouldn't have to leave Kade so soon. "And he's just being...nice."

"Bullshit. Kade's protective of you, possessive. I think he's been bitten by the caveman bug," Maddie said emphatically.

"Caveman bug?" Asha answered in a confused tone.

Maddie grimaced. "The alpha-male-pounding-on-his-chest syndrome. He's starting to care about you, Asha."

Lowering her head, she replied weakly, "Don't worry. I won't get attached to him. I know he's way out of my league."

Maddie grasped her shoulders and shook her lightly. "Nobody is out of your league. I'm just warning you that he's not just being nice. Believe me, I know the Tarzan look starting to emerge. I have to admit that it surprised me. I've never seen this side of Kade."

All in all, I loved the entire series and you really really have to read it! All books can be read as a standalone but you really should read the whole series if you are into love at the first sight, alpha males and a great amount of sizzling hot steam!

I have read all of the series to date and this one, I felt, was the best. They are all phenomenal books but this one brought it home. In this book cultural boundaries are the focus. The things that are brought to light are appalling to say the least but true none the less. You feel what the characters are feeling. Hell I wanted to hurt the bastards that hurt her. This book focuses on Asha and Kade. Asha is indeed Max and Maddie's sister. She had one cruel upbringing followed by a hell of an arranged marriage. This book in the series draws you in and don't let you go. Now we just need Travis' story!

Kade and Asha's story is the latest in The Billionaire's Obsession series. It has everything! A strong alpha male, Kade, swoon, a wonderful strong woman, Asha. She has fought through so very much. So much romance, sizzling erotic interludes and a cast of characters that will intrigue you. I always enjoy J.S. Scott's books but I must say this was one of my very favorites. It was nice catching up with some of the other characters as well as meeting a couple new ones. I love Jan's books and can't wait to see who is next!!

Hero: Kade Harrison, ex pro quarterback
Heroine: Asha Paritala 27, half American half Indian. Artist
POV: 3rd person, Alternating between H&h

At first I really liked this book. I liked the possesive and protective nature of Kade and I liked Ashas sweet inoncence. As the story goes on i got really tired of the corny things the guy would say, I love swooning over a guy and gushing over the lovey dovey things he says but sometimes too much is over kill, I was constantly eye rolling and had to skim the last half.

She’s mine!
Kade shook his head at his wayward thoughts, but the gnawing in his gut just kept getting stronger. Every primitive instinct inside his body was screaming that this woman belonged with him
- after two days of meeting her

“If I fuck you, you’re mine. I don’t know if I can ever let you go,” he rasped. “I’m not sure I can anyway.”

"...You belong with me."

“I don’t have condoms. I haven’t been with a woman in years and I’m clean. And I don’t plan to be with any other woman again,” he said, his words a declaration.
“I’m barren. I’m safe. And I trust you,” she panted, her body begging for his possession.
-After the first sex scene

I also hated how the author keeps 'telling' how protective or possesive he was.

Some examples
- he was like an alpha male completely unleashed
- they adored their possessive, protective, and bossy husbands because those men wanted them safe and happy.
- she loved Kade’s passionate alpha male sexuality
- Didn’t she love Kade’s overprotectiveness and alpha possessivenes?
- watching his possessive, obsessive behavior toward her was just a little intoxicating.
- He was a protective alpha male
- "You’re fucking perfect. And your body responds to mine like it was made for me,” he said possessively

I think a book would be better if the words 'possessive' 'protective' and 'alpha male' arnt mentioned and let the actions speak for themselves.

The first sex scene kind of threw me for a bit. I keep thinking of Asha as this sweet traditional Indian women so when she suddenly got all naked and opened her legs for him and said "I'm ready" it kind of irked me out a bit, I was like 'What?!' and when in her POV during a sex scene I couldn't get over how she kept saying 'pussy'. Its not that I hate that word, in fact I love it, but only if the guy is saying it or its in his POV.

- Her hips moved forward, her pussy trying to get closer to his engorged member
- Her pussy flooded with heat as she saw his enormous cock bouncing off rock-hard abs. “And you’re…big.”
- using his fingers to penetrate the already saturated folds of her pussy.

I should say that I haven't read all the previous books to this series, I don't think it matters that much anyway, although you are introduced to about 3-4 types of couples -lots of names to remember and who belongs to who.

Once again I fell for the 'Alpha Male' that's stamped all over this book. I don't understand all the 5 stars for this.

I can't believe I haven't posted my review on this yet. Well BETTER late then never . Lol. JS Scott is a fantastic author.

Kade is a billionaire that is doing a favor for his brother-in-law. He has to find his brother-in-law sister. She makes it a real challenge and Kade can't figure out y she is running from him.

Asha is in a abusive marriage, that she has to get out of, so she goes on the run. She is a artist that paints walls. She is also broke and homeless but even this is better then being abused.

This is a must read. U won't regret it. Make sure u grab a copy of the other billionaire books too. Fan-Freaking-Tastic book and series..

Kade Harrison is a rich ex football player. He is helping his brother in law Max find his missing sister. Asha is the missing sister.

Asha was raised by abusive Indian foster parents who sold her to an abusive Indian husband. Near death Asha runs away and divorces her husband. Asha lives in homeless shelters while working.

Kade finds Asha and she is sick. He takes her to the hospital and cares for her. He falls in love with her. Asha falls in love with Kade but she is fighting to find herself and doesn't feel she deserves someone like Kade.

In the end they have their happy ending.

I have been looking forward to this book, since Kade caught my eye in Max.

Kade's back story is heartbreaking. Star Quarterback football player, injured, loses leg, and, "bimbo" (in my opinion) girlfriend. Feel's like he is half the man he truly is because of his injuries.

Asha, is a woman just bent on survival. Having been brainwashed into believing what she should be like as a woman from her foster parents, she runs from her abusive husband. Survival is the only thing she does.

This book was great, I truly fell in love with the story.

Jan did it again! I love The Billionaire's Obsession series. This series is one of my absolute favorites. The alpha males in these books are hot and easy to fall in love with. The women are amazing too. I was impatiently waiting for this book and it was worth the wait. Kade and Asha's story was beautiful. I definitely recommend this book and the others in the series as must reads. You won't be disappointed. I look forward to a story for Travis!

Kade's story was definitely my favorite of The Billionaire's. He's so imperfect, yet completely loveable. The fact that he has that flaw make him seem like he could really be a life living man who could walk into our lives any normal day of the week! He would definitely be the kind of man to fall in love with!! I love this story, all the adversities, the cultural differences, the story of troubled pasts, and the way they come together to make that perfect life!!

THE BEST STORY YET

The story of Kade and Ashes was my favorite. I loved Kade and felt Ashsa's plight. I was so glad that Ravi and her foster parents got their dues. It's hard to even comprehend that such deranged people exist. Thank you for this series and I can't wait for the story of Travis. I think he falls for Ally. I hope so!

I ADORED this book.
Kade and Asha's book is the fourth in The Billionaires obsession series and it was amazing.
Asha is an artist, whose life has been discolored by a dark and abusive childhood and a tragic marriage. As she escapes those clutches, she spends two years barely making a living as a wall painter.
Kade, an ex football star, who had to leave his passion due to an injury and was abandoned by his girlfriend is hired by Max and Maddie to find their half sister, "Asha".
Chasing her for two months, she continues to elude him until one night they meet. She's sick and he ends up taking care of her. Slowly sparks arise, and true love blossoms between the leads.
Their love story was so tender. I really enjoyed the connection between the h and H.
Asha was deeply traumatized by her past- and it was great to read her spreading her wings.
I really loved the author's research into the Indian culture. The way the character was written was very apt- the whole being shadowed by guilt and duty, the abuse, the subservience- and I say this because it happens back home to some women but rarely is it written in a non derogatory manner. Also it was pleasure to read how she accepted her mixed heritage and her life was filled with colors, with Kade.
Now Kade was such a tender, loving, caring hero. He worshipped Asha with a single mind. He didn't overpower her, gave her space and accepted her.
Beautiful ending.

I have been waiting for Kade's story to come out and I would have never guessed that it could be this good. It was fantastic. Asha had a lot to learn since she got away from her ex husband and Kade was there to protect her right from the beginning. This was a great love story with a lot trust issues not only from Asha but Kade. It was a great addition to the series and a must read!

I’m actually really upset.

I think her heritage was played out very badly in this with zero appreciation.

Yeah, South Asian culture has bad misogyny due to the patriarchy and lack of feminist movement thriving. But in saying that, misogyny and the patriarchy is present in every country, it’s not limited to one place.

I have to say what’s so hard for me about reading about characters with different heritages is the fact that the culture is rarely given the sensitivity it deserves. It’s written by someone who doesn’t even inhabit the culture they are describing. They rarely show the beautiful side of a different culture or race. It’s all about cherry picking.

The author tried to create a story, hence her heroine being half white/Indian, adopted by an Indian foster family that arranged her marriage to an abusive wealthy Indian man who she was married to for 7 years. Her one and only before Kade (obviously).

This whole “her dad is an Indian immigrant” her mother is an American! Seriously? Is her father an American citizen by birth or did he move there, therefore in both cases an Indian American. This ‘immigrant’ title is a joke. We’re all immigrants, race doesn’t change that. Don’t just use this heroine for her “exotic” look and long hair.

“They’re American and I’m Indian—”
“You’re American, too,” Kade growled, annoyed that Asha saw herself as “less than” compared to her siblings. “And even if you weren’t, it wouldn’t matter.”
“We were raised in different cultures. And they both look like our mother,” Asha answered quietly.”

J.S. Scott, if she’s been bought up in America, surely she’s just like any other American. Her ethnic makeup has nothing to do with that. Even if I was a fully Indian person brought up in an Indian family in the US, I’m still an American because i can inhabit both my nationality and ethnicity. Her being mixed race has nothing to do with it! If they were really going to bring the discussion of race into it, I would’ve preferred a completely Indian heroine who doesn’t benefit off her light skin privilege and still appears Eurocentric. It’s just facts.

Anyway other than that really stretched out discussion it was alright. I’d give it 2 stars.

Kade's story has left me in a book hangover state of mind! I want the next one so bad! Never have I met two people who NEEDED each other so badly! Kade and Asha are meant for each other! I was upset just at the fact that it took them so long to tell the other one how they felt. But it's a story. And an amazing story of how love can heal all. Kade felt worthless after his football career ended because of a tragic accident. Asha was just trying to survive after dealing with so much abuse in her life. They finally come together and both realize that nothing is more important than love. It took them a while because they both felt like no one could possibly love them due to their pasts. But in the end, everything was good. I think Asha is officially the most traumatized of all the female characters in this series. This whole series was just amazing. I can't wait for Travis's story!

I very much enjoyed this book. I really liked the flow of the storyline, I absolutely LOVED the relationship between Kade and Asha. The fact that this was not an insta-love story was very nice. I enjoyed the fact that even though they were arrested to each other from an early standpoint in the book, it needed nurturing to develop into real love. I loved how determined Asha was throughout the book, even though she was handed crap throughout her life, she never truly gave up fighting for what would make her happy. Kade was amazing! He was so sweet and wonderful. This book was an impulse buy for me and I'm so very happy that I did.

I have to say this one is my favorite in this series so far (I think lol). It really hard to pick just one they are all great.

Kade and Asha story is so heart touching and emotional. You are ready to kill for Asha with all that she is put through and to stop and think that this really happens on a daily basis. Asha shows you that you can get over anything if you just set your mind to it and push through. Kade well he is like that other men you met in this series over baring protective to no end and loving.
