Frederic Remington is best known as an illustrator and painter of the American west of the 1800’s. He was also an adventurer and writer. In this book from 1895, he chronicles his wanderings from duck and bird hunting in the Dakotas, hunting bear in New Mexico, suppressing rioters in Chicago, and handling burros, horses, and coaches in Mexico. It is a wonderful time capsule from the 19th century.
