Rate this book

Joya Ryan’s Sweet Hill Temptation is a sweet and sexy romance that captures the heart of small-town America.

Annabelle Thompson has worked hard to escape the shadow of her mother’s checkered past. But just as Annie’s finally realizing her dream of opening a restaurant, the one man who could pull her off course comes back into town: Luke Jacobs, scion of Sweet Hill’s most prominent family.

Despite their families’ wildly different reputations, Annie and Luke had always been close. Then one night of blinding passion made them so much more than friends. Luke hasn’t stopped thinking about Annie since, but as he steps up to run his grandfather’s apple empire, he’s pulled away again from the woman that he loves.

With both their futures at stake, will Annie and Luke give their passion a real chance or will their choices forever divide them?

I felt h was more into H than vice versa. H put his career ahead of h everytime and when h said ILU, he couldn't reply bcos he wasn't there. It was his grandfather's intervention that made him put h first and tbh if it hadn't happened I'm 100% sure H would have left again.

Also H left h for 2 yrs, no contact and not sure if he was celibate, at least h wasn't a virgin, but still it bothered me and I wanted to know if H was with anyone else.

He had been her best friend since childhood standing up for her when she was bullied. Then when she grew older and her mom blew in and out of town stealing whatever money she had saved for her cafe he held her while she cried. Finally they finally got together and she became a woman, then the next morning he was gone. She got her cafe up and running with her grandmother cooking with her. One night she went to the bar with her friend and who showed up after 2 years but her best friend who had left her. She walked up and while he was being all sweet to her she punched him in the stomach hard as she could. The next morning her cafe was empty because of the punch to the golden boy.
