When Davy's big brother Dan tells the Rabbit family about the Easter Bunny who brings presents and colored eggs to human children, the Rabbit children immediately decide to go find him and ask him to bring them gifts too. They search high and low, but the Easter Bunny is nowhere to be found. Disappointed, Davy's brothers and sisters head for home, but not Davy. He has an idea. Will Davy's secret plan to make a Happy Easter for his family succeed, or has he forgotten something? Children will empathize with Davy when his well-meaning plans go awry, and will share his surprise and delight at the unexpected outcome of this sunny story-the eighth in the popular Davy series.

I made it to the "Easter" shelf at the library a little too late, and the pickings were slim, so I gave this one a whirl. It was fine, but I've read more enjoyable Easter stories. I won't be rereading it again and again this Easter season.

Davy is a bunny who lives in the woods. Since no one has ever met the Easter Bunny, Davy decides to share the magic of Easter with his siblings. But Lo and Behold, the Easter Bunny does indeed have a surprise for Davy.

Davy and his brothers and sisters hear about this wonderful Easter Bunny who delivers chocolate and small gifts to the human boys and girls. But who will deliver treats to the bunnies? Davy takes it upon himself to solve this dilemma, and while the story is touching, the ending feels a little stilted, and I wouldn’t rank this one high on my list.
