Mark E. Cooper lives alone in a small town in the south of England, where he writes most mornings and evenings. His background is in mechanical engineering where he spent over thirty years working for Ford. He loves reading about strong female characters and can often be found laughing to himself as he listens to a book on his iPod.
His hobbies include driving his cobra--a V12 monster he built with his best friend--reading fantasy and sci-fi, and maintaining his blog at http://www.impulsebooks.co.uk/markcoo...
He is now the author of more than eight titles in the genres he loves to read.
I only read the last two books from this omnibus because I read the first book in another box set.
I never saw a book with more spelling mistakes. It’s like the author didn't use Auto correct, Spell check or even had it proofread. It was full of mistakes- woman instead of women and vice versa. Shamen instead of shamans; clan’s instead of clans. The author lives in the south of England but you would think that English is his second language from the way he writes. And not only that the book must have been published by a foreign company. All those errors wouldn't be there if it had passed through native English speakers before being published. I have to believe that.
If you enjoy epic fantasy then you may like the Devan Chronicles. The writing was quite good but characters seemed flat to me and the plot a bit of a rerun. I didn't finish. Read my full review here: http://www.morebooksthantime.com/a-co...
Really loved the book. Can't wait for the next installment. The characters were very interesting and easy to follow. Julia should be very good in the next book.
This is a fantasy book with a witch or female wizard in a world where women do not have the gift. Strong Heroine. I have enjoyed this series an would love to see the next book in the series.
I love this series. The thrills are non stop. Good character development. Keeps me guessing for the most part. Recommend for any reader looking for a strong female lead.
